Judge me not
- he tries to make you laugh all the time, especially at inappropriate times like when there's a meeting and the discussion turns serious, he'll crack a joke that is guaranteed to make you giggle
- Julian is bound to make some inappropriate gestures or jokes in your presence because he likes the way it makes you all nervous and flustered
- he's one for deep and meaningful talks if you ever need to rant, even though he acts childish he did used to be an MP meaning he's been exposed to serious matters and how to react or respond to them
- You always tease him for the fact that he died with no pants, but he always takes the opportunity to show off his legs and make comments like : 'yeah but now you get to see my sexy legs' or 'well that's just one thing less to care about when we, y'know, get busy', which always shuts you up and makes you blush
- If you asked, or even bribed Julian with a kiss, he'd allow you to wear his jacket. You absolutely love the jacket because it's warm and way to big on you, and Julian loves how it looks on you.
- he'd sneak into your room after lights out and poke you awake so you can make room for him in bed. Sometimes you'll cuddle and other times you'll gossip, and sometimes both of you lie in silence simply enjoying each other's company

Headcanons : Nervous Habits of the Ghosts :)
Patt: fiddles with his glasses, cleaning the lenses, adjusting them, pushing them up his nose. He also fiddles with his little tie, twirling it around his fingers and tugging it.
Thomas: pulls at his hair a lot, bites or sucks his thumb since he doesn't have his quill which he usually bites on when nervous, and he fiddles with his sleeve and tie
Mary: flaps her hands to relive anxiety and fiddle with the hems of her dress, Mary also talks to herself more than usual
Kitty : plays with the feathers in her hair as well as untying and re-tying the laces on her dress, she also twirls her hair with her finger
Fanny: she'd play with her fingers discreetly as well as picking at her dress, she doesn't like to show that she's anxious or nervous so she stays lowkey
Robin: pulls at his hair or pulls the fur from his clothes, he also shuffles around aimlessly like he's lost, and he starts to fiddle with things, it could be anything he gets his hands on
Julian: he fiddles with his tie and cufflinks, he also runs his hand through his hair or lightly bites his nails (old habit). He also paces around the place, hoping that it would calm his nerves even just a bit.
The Cap : he clears his throat when he's uncomfortable, as well as twisting his cane in his hands, he also paces around the place when he's nervous, he can hardly stay still. He also wrings his hands or fiddles with the buttons on his uniform

Wholesome pics of our favorite Ghosts + relationship headcanons!
Mary : she'd make you daisy chains and flower crowns to show you her love because she's an anxious wreck and can't muster the courage to say the words 'i loves you'
Thomas: would stick by your side 24/7, you're THE most interesting thing to him and he think he's wasting his time if he isn't by your side watching you do your daily activities
The Cap: would ask you to do errands for him or help him improve his running time, but deep down he's asking these things in order to spend as much time with you as possible, but he'd never admit it
Kitty: she'd make a dance routine just for you to watch, it would be to your favorite song and she'd of course teach it to you. It would be your special dance with her.
Patt: he'd tell you interesting facts about anything and everything to impress you and woo you and boy does it work
Julian : Well, for starters he'd avoid you because he is totally unsure about his feelings. He's only ever experienced proper love and that was for his amazing daughter, but that's it. So when he starts to develop feelings for you he gets VERY nervous. He eventually snaps out of it and decides that humor is the way to your heart, turns out that he was right.

Headcanons
Julian:
•He died with a pen in his pocket which Thomas is always trying to steal even though he can't write with it
• Julian likes to have debates with himself in the mirror, he misses having intellectual talks with people who know what he's talking about
• He used to be on a chess team, hence the reason he's so good at it and the reason he loves to play it
• smutty jokes and dad jokes are his groove
The Cap:
• Although he likes routine, sometimes the Cap will do or say something that is unlike him. Deep down inside the Cap gets bored of his daily routine, and has the urge to just break the cycle. When he was alive there was never any time do the things he truly wished to do
• he sings or hums to himself without realizing it, only when another ghost points it out or even joins in with the singing (kitty) does he get embarrassed
• he definitely seems like the black coffee type of man, no milk, no sugar, no soul

Random head canons again (if y'all have any suggestions for what you want me to write next lemme know :))
- Robin loves to camp outside, he enjoys sitting by the fire and admiring the stars, sometimes Patt will ask to join him. They bond together over camping and constellations
-Julian is a fan of the Beatles, even though he's always complaining that 'hippies should go and get a job'
- The Cap loves cats, he used to have one before the war started, he named the cat Comrade. He was a British Shorthair with a white patch on his lip, is looked like the Caps mustache.
- Kitty's favorite ice cream is blue bubblegum
- Thomas is the kind of guy to have a very complex Starbucks drink order that makes the employees roll their eyes
- Mary loves gardening, and loves to talk to the flowers even though she knows they can't talk back
- Kitty would ask Thomas to dance with her, and he'd even teach her the dances of his time which always makes her smile
- Julian and Thomas would always get into heated debates about all sorts, and Julian would always interupt Thomas mid argument to say something like 'Nope, you're wrong, shut it' even though Thomas was most certainly right
- The Cap has only come out to one person, and that's Patt since he trusts him the most, it was in a moment of weakness on the Caps behalf. Patt promised to keep the secret even if it's the last thing he does

Another 'If Thomas was your S/O' because I truly love this man <3
- breakfast in bed EVERYDAY, because he wants to make you feel special
- Library dates for sure, as well as picnics in the forest and candlelight dinners
- he'd try to spoil you as much as he can, if he sees something that reminds him of you he'd buy it without a doubt
- he'd leave romantic notes all around the house for you to find, he loves how excited you get when reading what he wrote
- he'd cry if you wrote him a poem, and he'd keep it on him all the time, tucked away in his pocket so when he's feeling down he'll take it out and read it
- as we all know, he's a romantic, so PDA is probably second nature to Thomas, but he'd tone it down if asked him (he'd do anything for you he's so in love)
- he loves being little spoon when cuddling :)
- He'd get sudden urges to dance, so he'd grab you and twirl you around and dance around the room, complimenting you at any given chance

Random head canon time y'all :))
Julian :
- loves custard tarts, it's the only food he misses eating, especially after a long day of 'work'
- he's really good at pub quizzes and his brain is pretty much filled with random facts that will blow your mind, they're honestly so random
- he's actually a big reader, usually likes books that have a theme of travelling and of course romance
Patt :
- always has a packet of emergency tea bags on him, don't ask me why but you can't argue with facts
- he's got a red Swiss pocket knife in one of his many pockets
- he loves to knit and sew things, he's very good with his hands, that's why he offered to sew on the scout badges on his fellow boy scouts
The Cap:
- still remembers the tongue twisters him and his comrades used to make up when they were bored. He'd recite them and offer to teach anyone who was interested
- he likes to walk around the gardens, and sometimes he'll spot something new and run back to tell the others.
Thomas -
- he wakes up the earliest out of all the ghosts, even earlier than the Cap sometimes, just to watch the sunset. Sometimes it's the only thing that keeps him smiling throughout the whole day
- he loves picnics, he'd beg everyone to join him even though they can't eat or drink
- he asked Julian to teach him chess, and once he got the hang of it he challenged Julian to a game. Results were that Thomas won and that victory was to never be mentioned again because Julian didn't want others to know.
- he likes to watch period dramas, even if they are NOT historically accurate
Kitty:
- she totally collects stuffed animals, like her room would be full of them
- she'd ask for you to do her make up and hair and in return she'd do the same (albeit awfully)
- her favorite animal is a frog, she thinks that if she kisses one it'll turn into a handsome prince

The Button House Ghosts and their Reactions to you being upset :) I hope this can help comfort people who are feeling down 💗
Mary and Kitty would work together to cheer you up, Mary would tell you funny stories of her village and life back when she was alive, she'd also go on tangents about God knows what but it works in cheering you up. Kitty would hold your hand and give you hugs, she would arrange play dates every day until you felt better <3
Robin would sit next to you and listen to you, and he'd try to make you feel better by telling you what he does when he feels sad and what cheers him up, like looking at the moon :) sometimes, if he sensed a depressive episode or panic attack, he'd take you somewhere silent so you can be alone, or even arrange a star gazing night ×
Fanny would most likely tell you to stop crying because it's not lady like, but before she toddles off she'd give you her handkerchief and tell you that you've got a pretty/handsome face and that tears do not suit it #girlboss
Humphrey would attempt to keep his head on his neck before telling you to cheer up, and that life is too short to be sad, he'd even give you a few back pats and positive affirmations to keep you going like 'you're doing a swell job, don't give up now' <3 Just the sight of him trying to help (let alone his unfortunate circumstances) is enough to cheer you up and put a smile on your face :) he's a sweet man
Patt has had experience cheering people up, he was a Scouts leader anyway, so he has some paternal instincts kicking in when he sees you all upset. He'd give A lot, and I mean a LOT, of positive affirmations and compliments, big hugs and maybe even a kiss on the head for good luck. He'd offer to sit with you whenever you felt alone and he'd hold your hand if you felt a panic attack coming. <3
Julian, although he seems too self absorbed, is quite emotionally intelligent (only when it suits him though). Seeing you upset reminded him of when his daughter had a bad day. His fatherly instincts would kick into gear and he'd be by your side until your tears had dried. He'd tell you funny jokes and anecdotes of MPs that he found irritating, and he'd even go as far as to hold you close so you felt less alone.
The Cap is, as expected, extremely awkward and stiff when it comes to emotions, let alone someone crying or feeling down. But knowing him he'd try his absolute best to out do the other ghosts. He'd give you advice on how to move past the sadness, and recommend some exercises that help you feel better, and if you're lucky he'd give you a stiff side hug and tell you to run along and start exercising.
Thomas, being a poet, boasts about knowing human emotion, and he lives up to that in every respect. Yes, he seems overly dramatic and at times melancholy, but boy oh boy does he know how to spot emotions. One look at you and he knows that you're suffering, and he'd stop at nothing to get you feeling like your usual cheery self. He'd write You poems of how beautiful/handsome you are and tell you things like 'you're so amazing, don't beat yourself up' , he'd hold your hands and give them kisses, and he'd definitely partake in head smooches too. His love language is touch :))

The Ghosts reaction to if you could hug them :) bc we love wholesome ghosts :D
Robin - probably would flip his shit and hug you so tight that you could hardly breath, he'd jump up and down with you in his arms from literal joy and immediately tell the others. He's a great hugger, 10/10
Patt - this man is a cryer, he'd cry and he wouldn't let go for hours, so you'd end up sitting on the floor with Patt attached to you, he'd probably thank you for the hug too (this man needs hugs to live). He's very comfortable to hug and warm 11/10
Kitty - boy oh boy, she'd squeal and suffocate You in the biggest hug you'll ever get. She'd giggle and twirl you around in her arms and arrange play dates soley for the purpose of hugging, hell she'd even make it a daily ritual, her hugs are tight but heart warming, 10/10
Humphrey - he literally would have no clue who was hugging him, but he'd try his best to hug back. He also give me back pats kinda vibes, very awkward back pats 9. 5/10
Mary - It be the works of the devil I tells ya, she'd ask you to reject satan and witchcraft before it was too late, swan/10
Fanny - not a hugger, would probably pat your head and tell you to run along, but deep down she missed having affectionate contact with someone who won't throw her out of a window 7/10
The Cap - awkward. Very awkward at first, but he'd give in a give one of the best darn hugs ever, very warm and comforting. It would be short and sweet before he'd pull away, clear his throat and thank you for the hug before promptly leaving the room. Shy fellow indeed. 11/10
Thomas - drama queen, he'd also flip his shit to begin with, stammering over how this is not possible. Then he'd come to terms with it and hug you again, not letting go for AGES. He'd probably say something like 'it has been oh so long since I had felt the comforting nature of a hug, I thank you'. He's one of the only ghosts who would be too shy to ask for another one, so you'd have to initiate the hug. He loves it. He's very handsy and warm and extremely gentle, 12/10
Julian - when I say awkward. I mean awkward. He'd probably wonder why, out of all people, you'd choose to hug him. He isn't used to genuine, affectionate hugs and he's very hesitant to hug back. After a few hugs he gets the hang of it, and once he's comfortable he'll initiate the hugs, maybe putting you in a head lock if he felt like it. Not that you'd complain. 11/10

- poems, a lot them, expect to be woken by them and soothed to sleep by them. You'll never escape them- and you better believe they are so, so corny
- he is a hugger, although awkward to begin with he starts to hug more and more until he can't live without hugs. He especially loves to tackle hug you when you least expect it.
- lots of face caresses, he literally can't keep his hands off of you, his love language is touch
- he'd share his deepest, darkest secrets with you. This is quite hard for him since he had MAJOR trust issues due to the nature of his death, so if he tells you something you better listen
- if he's bored he'd follow you around the house like a lost puppy, he'd never get bored watching you do your things, even if it's doing your hair
- loving looks, all the time, when you're not looking he'd stare at you so tenderly, and when you'd catch him he gets all flustered and stammer before walking away
- you'd be doing the most mundane task like the dishes and he'd be like 'youre so beautiful, don't stop being you', always hitting you with compliments
- he'd ask you to put on his favorite song on Spotify just to dance with you. You could be doing some chores and he'd be like 'oh you must join me, this song is absolutely rejuvenating!' and you'd end up doing a lil dance with him
- he'd try to flirt, albeit terribly, and you'd loose it when he tries to wink at you because it's so silly yet endearing

So, I sorta forced my friend to watch Ghosts and now she loves it, so here's some of our head canons :))
Thomas - makes poems about cake with help of mary (who insisted that he did one on cake)
Thomas - has such a sweet tooth, hed love a good packet of wine gums
Julian - fan boy mode when he gets excited over something he's passionate about , no one expects it but they embrace it, especially Patt
Patt- was a boy scout, and that inspired him to be a scout leader and do good in the world
Thomas - absolutely EATS UP history documentaries, especially about fashion and architecture
Thomas - cat person, especially ginger cats, but he's sorta allgeric to them :/ but he honestly doesn't care
Fanny - she was sheltered as a child, restricted and forcibly feminized, she's always wanted to climb a tree but was told it was 'un-ladly like' behavior
Robin - he loves to star gaze, and he'll force Julian to sit with him all night. Of course Julian would make a fuss out of it but deep down he's flattered that Robin chose him.

Some BBC ghosts headcanons :D
- The Cap used to love jam on toast with a good ol cuppa in the morning
- Kitty would listen to Britney Spears, and choreograph dances to Every. Single. Song.
- Patt would love to go on long hikes, and if you'd spear him an ear he would name you every type of tree you walk past
- Julian is more complex than he seems, he may act like an eccentric, boisterous child but he has emotions that he buried deep within his humor
- Thomas's favorite colour is brown, and he'd make it his personality, everything b r o wn, including his socks :)
- Thomas's favorite season is autumn, he'd go outside to hunt for crunchy leaves to step on
- People took advantage of Humphreys kindness although his life (even when he died) and now he had trust issues
- Robin is probably one of the most emotionally intelligent ghost, since he's been around for the longest
- Julian hides his sadness with his humor, and if the man ever opens up you better listen because he'll rebuild the wall around his emotions so quick you won't even know what hit you
- The Cap is a dad , including the dad advice and sometimes, rarely, he'd give a dad hug, albeit awkwardly
- Thomas's way of cheering one up is reciting some silly poem he made up, and he wouldn't even make it half way before laughing at his own jokes
- Julian gives me HUGE Pan vibes, don't matter who you are, if you got a cynical sense of humor he loves you
