loving the stars. loving the wind. the songs played by birds in the forest. the rainbow. the waves. the moment we realize we drew a smile on a stranger's face. or when we feel understood. listening to our favorite song as we dance in the rain. standing in silence with a person we feel most comfortable with and realizing words aren't everything...

So I did a redraw of my traditional work from the right; I used Procreate and did a simple coloring technique because I'm a simple person, lol. I have to be honest, I really like the redraw over the other; I like how cute Kenshin looks in it, his eyes and the way his hair is falling behind. I could have drawn Tomoe better, but I think I was tired by then.
Word of advice, never rush through a drawing; if you're tired then stop and go back to it. I feel like if I did that she would have a similar look like Kenshin. Which one do you like?

So I started reading this after hearing some good things about it; man, it is an excellent read. The title character is so sneaky and warped, but what do you expect from a Sith? And when he met Palpatine, man oh man together they're just the worst kind of people. It's always interesting to read about the bad guys every once in a while.😁
There's alot of political wording, but necessary seeing as how they wanted to rule the Republic; I love reading books, but if anyone is interested I would suggest getting the audio.

**Reveal**
"I'm not your mother....I'm actually....your sister." Silence. "Not biologically, but still your sister."
"I don't understand."
"If you think about it, those closest to you never really confirmed I was your mother; it was statements, but no full acknowledgement....not even from your father."
The twins faced one another in confusion, trying to remember each encounter.
"No, I guess not." Setsuna spoke softly. "But then...why lie?"
"Where...where's our mothee?" Towa asked, her voice choking slightly as she thought of the Higarashi's love and kindness.
Rin smiled at the two. They were sitting inside the home she shared with Kohaku; between them was a lit fire, its light illuminating their emotions.
Rin tilted her head upwards and closed her eyes; in that instance, a soft breeze passed between them.
"What?" Setsuna asked Towa with annoyance.
"What what?"
"You tapped me."
"No I didn't."
"I felt it."
"That was her....your mother." Rin spoke, her head still facing upward but her eyes were now open.
"What are you talking about?" Towa asked.
Rin faced them.
"Your mother....has become the wind."
Silence filled the room; Rin watched them, unsure of how to proceed. She didn't think Sesshomaru would have been better at explaining, so she took the role; this charade was going on far too long. She was tired of lying to the girls and she said as much; Kagome offered to be by her side when she told them, but as their elder sister she wanted to do it alone.
"Say that again." Towa commented.
"Your mother's name was Kagura."
"So....she's gone now?" Setsuna stated sadly.
"Her physical body is gone, but not her spirit; she still watches over you...that's what you felt just now. She was a wind goddess on earth and became the wind when she passed."
Rin waited for a response, but when none came she continued.
"Kagura was a graceful and beautiful person; although to be honest, when I first met her she was a bit mean."
"She was evil?" Towa asked.
"She was under the control of an evil person; however, she atoned for her wrongdoing."
"How did she die?" Setsuna asked.
"Naraku....you heard of him right?" They nodded. "He was the one who controlled her; he killed her when it was apparent she wanted to be free of him."
"Wait," Setsuna started. "The battle with Naraku happened a while ago; how could she be our mother if she was already gone?"
"When your mother passed along to the netherworld, she was granted one wish...a wish for her change of heart; the one thing your mother wanted was to be with your father again....to see him." Rin smiled broadly, watching the flames.
"That...sounds nice." Towa stated.
"It was very romantic," Rin continued. "She was granted one season every year with him; however, when she found out she was pregnant it went against the laws of her eternal life. She was not allowed to keep you."
"What?" The twins said in unison.
"Heart broken of course, she begged them..."
"Them?" Towa questioned.
"The Gods of the netherworld; begged them to spare her baby. They would not hear of it so she agreed to give you up; at that time she didn't know she was going to have twins. You two were found by Sesshomaru near the tree of ages."
"That sounds a bit far fetched." Setsuna interjected. "You're making this up right? I mean come on, a wind goddess? How was she able to....conceive if she were a goddess?"
"The wish they granted her made her human again...if only for once a year."
"Say it's the truth, why didn't she come back the following year?" Setsuna asked.
"Yeah," Towa added.
"She was forbidden; she was no longer allowed to roam in her human form as what she and your father did went against their laws. She accepted her fate with a heavy heart and left instructions with you two; she did not want you to know until you were ready to accept the tale."
"Well I don't." Setsuna got to her feet. "This sounds like bull; why are you making this us mother?"
"I told you, I'm not your mother; I know this seems hard to believe."
"It is."
"Wait!" Towa called as Setsuna walked out.
"Towa." Rin called. "What about you....do you believe me?"
"I....don't know." She left, chasing after her sister.

**A Stroll**
"Can I ask you a question?"
Silence
"I'll take that as a yes; can you remove that fur thing?"
Silence
"I mean, is it stuck on you or something? Is it growing out of your body? If you removed your clothes does it come off as well? Can we test this theory?"
He stopped....she grew excited.
"Why do you insist on asking me this all the time?"
"Because I have yet to see you naked and I was curious about your cute fur thing." She smiled when she saw his cheeks blush. "Will my curiosity be quenched?"
He continued walking.
"So walking means you're not going to answer...or does it mean I touched a nerve? Did I embarrass you about the naked bit?"
He stopped and faced her quickly; he was breathing hard, but all she could do was smile and pat his cheek.
"You're insufferable." He said.
"But you love me."
His face got pink once more before turning away from her; as he walked on she grabbed his hand and laid her head onto his shoulder. She felt his hand squeeze hers.
"This is nice." She said. "Walking in the moonlight with a statue."
"Be quiet."

**Let me protect you**
The sound of their blades making contact seemed louder in the quiet forest; as they remained in a blocked formation, they stared at one another, a small smile appearing at the corners of their lips. A soft breeze flew past them before they stood apart.
"You're getting better at blocking my strikes."
"Come on, you're going easy on me."
"I'm not."
"Look into my eyes and say that again."
He stared at her big eyes only briefly before blushing and looking away.
"Okay," he answered still keeping his gaze down. "But I didn't want to get too rough on you."
"Kohaku....if I'm going to fight by your side I need to practice." Rin walked up to him and touched his arm. "You promised to teach me."
"I know and I will." He touched her hand and smiled back. "It's getting late."
They walked side by side in silence; Rin turned to face him. The scar on the bridge of his nose caught her eye as always; she stopped and he did the same facing her.
"Are you alright?" He asked with concern.
"You're....you're afraid something might happen to me...aren't you?"
"What?"
"Because if I were to..."
"Stop....please Rin."
She took his hands into hers and held them close to her chest; she then touched his face and his silence said it all.
"You're a skilled demon slayer Kohaku."
"Even the most skilled can...." He ran his hand across her cheek. "I don't....I can't lose you; not when I just got you back."
"Then teach me properly; teach me all you know. I know you're afraid, but that's all the more reason to."
"Rin," he started softly.
"People....die Kohaku; this is a fact we cannot escape from. But....if we have the skills to protect ourselves then we must do what we can; I know you will protect me with all you have and I want to do the same for you....I love you."
Her words broke deep within his soul; he brought her closer to him and they kissed among the leaves. He whispered in her ear how much he loved her, how he wanted to protect her, all the while tears falling down his cheeks onto hers.
The following evening, Kohaku gave Rin her own demon slayer uniform; they went back into the forest where he began her training once more.
When they returned to the village, Rin excitedly recited to Kagome all that she learned; Kohaku watched with pride, his heart swelling with love for her and fear. She could be the best demon slayer/priestess in feudal Japan; however, he knew if she were to die....she would not come back.
"Rin....my beloved...I will protect you."

I was scrolling through the Reddit comments under that topic of Rin being depicted as a servant to Sesshomaru; man, I was cracking up. The majority of these crazy people using "historical depictions" as an excuse; saying since Sesshomaru is a Lord that's how wives acted during that time so it's a accurate depiction. I couldn't read anymore, it was so pathetic; that's their only excuse...historically accurate for the wife of a lord? Give me a break 😒

@wwy009sideblog most definitely; we already know Sesshomaru regrets Kagura's death...that he was unable to save her. So the question is, why didn't they expand on that? Or, was that their intention all along, but it was too late due to the backlash they created?
Ritowa could be similar to sesskagu because Its between dog demon and incarnation but the basics is similar to another ship in Star Wars which is reylo . Both of them is about a girl kindness changing a man heart from the enemy side . The man on a redemption path because of her . Even the death scene of Riku. Both men died the same way . Actually the death scene is similar shot by shot like a copy . Though characters like Kylo and Riku usually die as redemption. Reylo ended with tragic . Ritowa had the same tragic death but Riku returned. I think there might be a reylo in sunrise and wanted to do what they wanted reylo ends with Ritowa . There’re other similar aspects between the two ships
I have no idea about Reylo, but if Sunrise copied the death scene shot by shot, then, it’s really shameful that the writers have zero creativity.
Oh, and don’t get me wrong Anon, I think personality vise everyone (Sesshomaru, Towa, Kagura, Riku) is different. So, if we were to gauge SessKagu and RiTowa under a microscope, they are different.

I am so glad this trash is over, but I still stand by my original feeling that Rin isn't the mom; not only because of the girls color schemes and their additional powers, but also because of these final scenes. Rin running behind Sesshomaru gigging as she did in the OG; he ordered her to come and she comes.
Not to mention when she was talking to the girls, she never added herself as a contributing factor in their existence; it's always they're his daughters...not hers. She is in hero worship over him; for me, the last few episodes gave me Rin is not the mother vibes and I stand by that still.
I feel like Kagura, being pregnant, may have known she would lose her life; wanting her children to have a complete family, she asked Rin to be there for them as a mother. Of course she would agree; further stipulation in this is that everyone else were to view the girls in that regard as well...to give them a mother. Just like how Riku returned, Kagura gave the girls both Haku and Kon; her spirit going into the girls uniting with them forever.
This is something everyone would keep quiet per Kagura's final wish; this is why Sesshomaru never responded to anyone proclaiming Rin as the mother or his bride. Outsiders didn't know the real situation, only those closest which is the Inugang.
Tbh, I do feel an OVA in the horizon; I don't say this because I'm delusional or unacceptable of the conclusion, but by what I have seen...Rin was never the mother. No matter how many title cards or so called scenes they may have showed; they can all be explained, but those girls having powers not related to Inu clan yet to be hanyos...nope.
Thank god this nightmare is over and now I just wish I could forget everything about Yashahime, the worst What If that could ever exist.
And wtf was today's episode? another futile attempt to excuse Pedomaru for being a shitty father. He was the center of all the problems here and let his daughters die more than once, but somehow he ended up being the hero 🙄. Oh, and his only sentence was an order to his child bride, in one more of the many parallels with their relationship in Og Inuyasha where she is a child and he is the adult with authority over her (just like here):
And Rin saying this like it's the best thing in the world that her daughters will be constantly attacked:
Yeah, best parents in the world 👏👏🙄
At this point I think we can say that, if this is the last episode, it's because this series was canceled. All the things left unresolved, so many filler episodes even though there was so much to explain, how they tried to close everything in a rush, it all indicates that Yashahime was planned to have multiple seasons just like Inuyasha, and join the "next generations" trend. They were not going to waste the opportunity to squeeze a series in which they had hopes of making money but HnY just didn't make it.
And some people may keep telling themselves that Yashahime is a good series, but it definitely isn't. You don't have to be a genius to see what a complete flop it was. The only good thing about this series is that it's finally over.

Are there other shows out there that put the end credits on the episode before the last? I ask because I'm getting a weird feeling something is going to happen in the last YH episode; I find it odd they're going to dedicate one whole episode to filler content...smells fishy to me.
I feel like they'll end it with a cliffhanger to bait people once more so they'll be able to make an OVA or S3; only this time it may be through Bandai.
Idk, it makes me nervous; I'm also nervous they may do some gross crap scene with that horrible pairing. I'm worried now 😫

Another Missed Opportunity
Yes, another missed one for this garbage series; this one involves Kirinmaru.
Sunrise has proven with the InuKagMor reunion, that they can create an emotional scene...albeit with help from others; what I got from this show is that Kirinmaru went insane because he was responsible for Rion's death (imo).
When he was knocked down and inside the Grim Butterfly, this was the perfect moment for him to shed ugly tears; to cry apologizes to his daughter and the twins. To explain why he did it and show remorse for causing all this; in return, Rion would then cry stating how she still loves him and that she forgave him.
Seeing her father in pain and unable to comfort him hurts Rion; Towa sees this and volunteers her body like in the episode. Rion is then able to hold her father; overcome by being able to hold his daughter once more, his tears shed more as he drew her closer to him. It's in this moment they disappear and return to being the sword (that was a dumb scene too).
So many missed opportunities and open plot holes; what a waste.

Although the entirety of HNY disgusts me, today's episode was a bit more jarring to my senses. The fact that Sesshomaru orders Rin around and she obeys; the fact he said "Rin...come" and she just followed...wtf is that?
Also, the fact she stood by the tree (as he ordered) and stood there watching him; always muttering Sesshomaru -Sama. It made me sick because it's like he was using her to make a point to Kirinmaru.
They literally made her a submissive person; she didn't move or do anything without his permission. She has no identity, so purpose but to please her 'sama'; is this how so called regal wives acted towards their husband's back in the day. Say nothing and stay in the background quietly until the husband orders you to move?
Her personality, as we all know, is the same as in the OG; she worships this daiyoki who can do no wrong. She will go through hell for him and not out of love; someone please explain this to me.
If they paired him with anyone else would they do the same? Why did he have to be with anyone to begin with? Why couldn't he just adopt these 2 girls?
Damn!! Is this supposed to be a role model for young girls? Submit to your husband's because they know what's best; I couldn't stand seeing her like that. I kind of wished Rin had died just to avoid her being seen like this; it's insulting and a disgrace.
Please, let this show and that pathetic manga burn! 😡

When the reveal happened, I cried myself; I was upset...ugly tears and all. Although I didn't grow up on Inuyasha, I still enjoyed the series immensely the years I've been watching it; the whole reveal thing (I still don't believe is true) brought me to a place where I was always seeing this kind of thing in anime and/or media...underage girls with grown men. That thought made my heart hurt so much and it still does.
Regarding this show, I take comfort in knowing it's NOT a sequel of our beloved Inuyasha; they are not allowed to call it a Sequel. Even the writer of the manga proclaimed it a What If...it isn't relevant to IY.
Being part of the anti group, following people who feel the same as me is an added comfort; they provide such awesome theories and do mega research that points to the big reveal as not what it appears to be. Although in the beginning I still would cry and get upset, I learned to treat this show as if I were reading a fanfiction...that's what it is anyway. Not that I would read anything with that ship, but I cleanse myself after each episode by watching or reading Inuyasha....the real canon story.
There are no words I can say that could help you...I'm sorry, but it's a process like all things; you have to cry, get angry and feel this pain until you realize this show is nothing. It's not affiliated with Inuyasha and it never will be.
I hope you feel better. 🥰

You've caught us at the end of two very long, very exhausting years in this hell-fandom, so most Antis in the tags are desensitised and jaded, but back when the reveal happened, we reacted just like you! I remember the slew of shocked posts and the amount of fans saying their childhood was tainted. Sesshomaru fans were devastated 😩 Most of us grew up with Inuyasha, so the character assassination in HNY hit us hard.
