how does it work with timelines to have golden trio era students from hp & next gen characters?

The roleplay is set 31 years after the events in Deathly Hallows Pt. 2, the golden trio are seen waving their kids goodbye as they set off to Hogwarts. Harry would be 49, Hermoine would be 50 and Ron would be 49. LUCKILY, (and thank you to one of our amazing members) witches and wizards in the Harry Potter verse age slower. Some being over six centuries old and appearing to be in their late twenties and early thirties. So if original face claims are wanted to stay the same, you're free to!

should teachers and adults characters not have a house as well? given that seems to show where the teachers sleep in hogwarts and what students they know better?

Teachers do not have a house though if they want, they can be a Head of House. As for adult characters, do you mean the college students? Because my mind with that was something like frats and sorority houses. But those who are not a college student, or a teacher do not have a house.

Are legacies kids first new college or final year high school? Because apps say different things

They would be NEW SEVENTH YEAR students as they're only 18-19 years old!

Due to accepting one of each fc between fandoms it might be worth having apps have the fandom the character is from, mostly for ocs and such

I did make that change in the app about five minutes ago as I realized even for OC's, I'm not sure what verse they're an OC from. So I'll be sending out messages so I can put them in the right place!

Oh, I love her so much. She could fit as an OC child of Luna Lovegood, an OC child of Draco Malfoy, she could be an adopted child of Damon and Elena, or an OC that went to school with the Legacies folks. She could also fit as Abigail from The Originals, Dana from Legacies, Jessica from The Originals, she could be Vicki Donovan from TVD, and Violet Fell from TVD. She could also fit as an OC in any of the verses!

if people don't work at the school itself but have businesses in the local town is there a location page for these business or locations? and how will that work in terms over overlap with characters at Hogwarts?

There is not yet a locations page, that is on the list of projects to do today! You could always have your character make supply runs to Hogwarts or have them live either on the grounds or near the grounds, or even volunteer at Hogwarts, there will also be several characters going to Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade so the interactions will be there for sure! I do also plan on events and the like that'll be thrown in all places.
