✨YUUMIKA WEEK 2017✨ - DAY 1: Alternate Universe
In which Yuuichiro is a young pianist and composer who lives near the beach, and Mikaela is a beautiful merman who really loves Yuu’s music and has been listening to it from afar for a long time.
1♡ One day, after an accident in a boat where Yuu was playing piano for his bff wedding, Mika saved him from drowning. But mermaids aren’t suposed to show to humans, so he ran away once Yuu woke up.
2♡ The next day when Mika went to his usual spot to listen to his favorite human’s music, he ran into Yuu. He gave Mika a hair accessory that belonged to his deceased mother.
3♡ After that they became closer. Yuu started writting songs for Mika, and he sang them for his beloved human all the time (oh! Mika used to sing Yuu’s songs at night! He has a really pretty voice♡)
4♡ Mika was always thinking about Yuu and his music, and his mermaid friends were confused of why the blonde was always spacing out. Mika’s days with Yuu were the happiest♡
5♡ Till he found out that Yuu is engaged with certain misterious lady. In middle of dispair, the Sea Witch convinced him that the only way to have Yuu just for him, he had to turn into a human.
6♡ So he does! And after weeks missed, Yuu finally found Mika… Just that now he has human legs, but no voice.

- Cough cough - Um, this one here is from New Year…and I should really get back to working on it. It took up too much of my time to abandon it just like that.
Anyway, here is bellydancer Mika for all those fangirls and boys of this little blond scapegoat. As you may have noticed in my demon drawings before, I have a soft spot for detailed adornments and jewelry and simply love to sketch them. However, as soon as I have to clean up the lineart I usually hate myself for adding that amount of detail.
This is the reason for me not finishing this by now. It looks like too much work and not losing motivation when opening the file is actually pretty hard to accomplish.
