I just need to say this

So I live in Arizona and this morning in Tempe, a high school student committed suicide at school. At 8:40 this morning, he tweeted: “There is going to be a suicide in the school right now” That was followed by tons of people replying, re tweeting, “don’t do it”, etc. But there was also the people that were very negative. Such as “Thanks for helping out natural selection”, “Did you finally do it or did you pussy out again?” horrible things of that nature. I also read a few tweets saying “suicide is for weak people”, etc.

Obviously this doesn’t apply to EVERYONE who has committed suicide, but to a lot, a big reason they took their life is because they were constantly bullied, one way or another. SO WHY are people STILL making fun of them and/or mocking them for committing suicide?! They took their own life, possibly because of some of the things you said/or did to them. Is that really not enough?! 

Now what I don’t understand and what really irks me is that, if the starting quarterback, the most physically strong kid in school, the prom king or queen, or anyone with a hint of popularity committed suicide, you (most likely) wouldn’t hear those things from the same people that are saying them now. Instead you’d (most likely) hear things like “They didn’t seem sad”, “I never would have known”, “It’s such a shame that they were so sad”, “But they seemed so happy”, “I don’t understand, they had so many friends, so much going for them and so many things to live for.” And ALL OF A SUDDEN suicide isn’t viewed as a “weak action, only taken by weak people”

SO PLEASE, just be nice to people. No one can truly understand what its like to feel suicidal unless you’ve been in that state of mind. And it’s really not a joke or something to poke fun at.  

Always be nice to people, you never know what someone else is going through. You also never know if you will ever see them again, sometimes you don’t get that chance to apologize.

Star Wars Episode VII

An ok movie that probably won't become a classic anytime soon. A reworked, rehashing of episode 4 with just a horrible progression and ending. Would never think I'd take a nap midway through the film. Amazing dogfight scenes though. 35mm was awwsome. 6/10
