In my opinion the most interesting thing that could happen in fanfiction is the reader trying to come up with an excuse for their behavior because why are you making it so obvious like did you not plan ahead or something like if you were set out to do this at least have somewhat of a plan and not stuttering and showing obvious signs that you're lying 😢

What if we didn't like our name now this has nothing to do with the imposter AU like I see a lot of fics where we introduce ourself and say your name and immediately we get like chase down hunted whatever but what if we use a nickname, or a different name entirely or do they know we're using a fake name or something because personally I don't like my name and to be honest I kind of forgot about it I haven't been called that (and I usually stick to nicknames) since school and I kind of been the butt of the jokes, soooo like seriously what if we didn't like our name.
