Sailor Moon Dream Cast: Sailor Venus

Sailor Venus: Mexican, Blonde Hair, Blue Eyes. In Codename: Sailor V, Mina (Aino Minako) is known for having a mother who is a housewife and a father who is an average salary man. If you mix that information with the fact that she wears a different school uniform than Serena and Ami, I’m going to make it as if Mina goes to public school. Since her family is more average, and Mina dreams of becoming a star whether as a professional volleyball player or an actress. It isn’t until Mina lands her first acting gig, she has the money to switch schools.

Actor Chose & Why: Loreto Peralta (5’2) 15 years old. Loreto was born in Florida, but lives in Mexico City. She is fluent in English and Castilian (the Spanish language use by newscasters). She is of Mexican descent, being the granddaughter of Carlos Peralta, a Mexican businessman. She has acted in Mexican short films and movies and an American movie called “The Little Mermaid” (2018), which is not Disney related.

Personality: Mina is known to be athletic (plays volleyball), friendly, outgoing, romantic, and clever. She comes from an average salary family, but is known for being graceful, as if she comes from a high income family. She rarely speaks of her home life, since she dreams of being so much more than what her parents have in store for her (being a housewife). Mina is a bit boy crazy, falling in love with any boy who shows the slightest bit of interest in her. Although she falls for boys easily, she doesn’t have many relationships.

Color Scheme: Orange and Midnight Blue. I want both the front bow and the back bow to be midnight blue, instead of having a yellow back bow. Also, I want her to don her signature red bow in everyday life, but it will change to orange when transformed.

Gemstone: Topaz

Flower: Chrysanthemum

Naming Choice: As for a name that matches her ethnicity, Guillermina Alego (meaning “Honest Defender”) with the nickname Mina seems to be a good fit. Some characters are going to have more drastic changes to their names than others, but I will try my best to keep them as close to home as possible.

Sailor Moon Dream Cast: Sailor Mercury

Sailor Mercury: Chinese American – Half Chinese/Half Caucasian, Dark Hair and/or Blue Hair, Brown Eyes (Blue Eyes). Amy Anderson (Mizuno Ami) will be raised by both her parents, a Caucasian American Father and a Chinese American Mother. Her mother and father will be going through a divorce and the mother gets a new job at the hospital moving herself and Amy to the city. She will move from one coast to the other for a culture shock if you will. So, if the city of choice is San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ, then Amy will be moving from Boston, MA. If the city of choice is Richmond, VA, then Amy will be moving from Portland, OR. This provides a good distance between her parents, which explains why you never or rarely see her father.

Actor Chose & Why: Peyton Elizabeth Lee (5’5) 15 years old. Peyton is a great Disney channel actress who can show a range of emotions and is half Chinese on her father’s side. She looks good with short hair, which is a staple to Sailor Mercury’s character. Her hair and eye color is brown, which is not similar to Sailor Mercury’s blue hair and blue eyes, but I also want some of the characters’ eye color to change when they transform into Sailor Scouts. This will give an added feature to why some people don’t recognize them.

Personality: Starting with the obvious, Amy is highly intelligent, while also being bilingual in English and Chinese. She also takes Spanish with Serena. Since she relies so heavily on the approval of her mother and teachers, she is what some would call an overachiever. She also spends her free time studying, reading, playing chess and/or swimming. She is shy and everyone around her thinks she is snobby, because she doesn’t try to talk to anyone. Also, she is the most sensible of all the Sailor Scouts, probably due to her over-analyzing situations, but it’s good to have at least one person in the group thinking ahead. She hopes to become a doctor one day, which is a dream she shares with Darien. She is also a computer whiz. Ami is kindhearted, hates arguments, and believes in not harming others. Due to this belief, her first couple of powers as Sailor Mercury are all passive powers.

Color Scheme: Sapphire Blue & Aqua Blue. This is a slight change from the original anime and even the reboot anime, but I want to make sure the colors of all the Sailor Scouts are completely unique to the character.

Gemstone: Sapphire

Flower: Water Lily

Naming Choice: The American full name (Amy Anderson) will be fine for this character since she will have a Caucasian American father, who would be the one to pass down the last name of Anderson.

Sailor Moon Dream Cast: Tuxedo Mask

Tuxedo Mask: American – Caucasian, Dark Hair, Dark Eyes. I have included Tuxedo Mask as part of the Sailor Scouts because he is Sailor Earth (who didn’t see that coming?). Recently moved into the American city of choice, Darien Shields (Chiba Mamoru) is a senior in the same high school Serena is being introduced to. Queen Serenity placed the two in the same county in order to assure their love story will play out in time. Darien is an orphan due to his parents dying when he was young. He lives in his own apartment and continues to go to school without the state interfering since he has proven to his case worker that he is mature enough to live on his own. Also, Darien’s parents’ will (upon death) ensured him to be financially stable at age 16, so Darien enrolled himself in the private school in order to better his chances to get into a good college. Even though Serena will be starting as a freshman at the same school as Darien, who is a senior, they had never crossed paths before since Serena has always been in private school and Darien has only started in the private school this year.

Actor Chosen & Why: Flynn Allen (6’1) 16 years old. I figured, making Darien only two years older than Serena would relate more to the original manga than the anime. Watching Sailor Moon while growing up, the height difference between Serena and Darien always stood out to me. I want the height difference to be visually noticeable on TV as well. Flynn Allen, like Darien has dark hair and dark eyes. Darien has dark blue eyes in certain renditions and brown eyes in others, while Flynn (of course) only has brown eyes. Since I am looking for a variety of eye colors for Sailor Moon and no one seems to have brown eyes in the manga/anime, I went with the brown eyes.

Personality: Since Darien’s parents died in a car accident on his sixth birthday and has no other family, he grew up in foster care. In foster care, he learned how to steal, which is an ability he uses in his junior year of high school, when he is looking for the Silver Crystal. He is a straightforward person, who believes in honesty and has strong morals that he follows. He practically raised himself, so when he becomes emancipated, he doesn’t feel alone in his apartment. He is calm and quiet, but friendly and well-spoken. Darien is also chivalrous and confident. The reason Tuxedo Mask always shows up right when Sailor Moon is in danger, is because Darien doesn’t control the transformation. He has a spiritual connection with Sailor Moon, so after he gets a vision of her in danger, he transforms without even knowing it, and the next day he sees it as a dream. He also has the ability of psychometry (token-object reading), which manifests slowly throughout the show, but the reason he starts looking for the Silver Crystal.

Color Scheme: Black and White (even though neither is a color, but a shade), and Red. All of Scouts get white, so technically his colors are just Black and Red.

Gemstone: Crystal Quartz, the Golden Crystal is going to be a Gold-Bearing Quartz, which is the Earth’s rarest form of natural gold. The gold within the gemstone will mimic the continents on Earth, and the stone will be in a ball formation instead of diamond formation, something like a mini Earth.

Flower: Rose (Red for Tuxedo Mask; White for Moonlight Knight; Black for when he has negative energies)

Naming Choice: Using the full American name for this character will be best, where no change is necessary.

Sailor Moon Dream Cast: Sailor Moon

Sailor Moon: American – Caucasian, Blonde Hair, Blue Eyes. Serena (Tsukino Usagi) will be a native to the American city the show is going to take place in and she goes to a private school due to her parents being well off (but not insanely rich). She will be starting in high school (9th grade) at the age of 14. Serena is going to be like a magnet for everyone else; all the other soldiers will eventually make their way to her.

Actor Chosen & Why: Shree Crooks (4’9) 14 years old. She has blonde hair, blue eyes and is the same age and height as Sailor Moon based on the biography information of Sailor Moon provided by the manga and anime. Also, her face portrays a since of innocence that I believe Serena to have.

Personality: Serena is extremely intelligent, but lazy. She has a strong distaste for school and is known for getting bad grades in school for not doing her homework or class work, but always gets honor roll on her report card because she knows when she has to buckle down and work to bring her grades up. She struggles in Spanish and math but excels in home economics. She loves reading Japanese manga. She, also, loves the color pink, bunnies, and food. Serena is a daydreamer, and known for being clumsy and emotional, some even call her a cry-baby. She is loyal, honorable, and caring, while also being argumentative and stubborn. She is easily distracted, especially by food, and has a childlike quality when being playful or friendly.

Color Scheme: Magenta and Blue. The reason I am explaining the color schemes of each of the Sailor Scouts, is because the color scheme is what creates the colors on their Sailor Scout Uniforms. I want the Sailor Scout uniform to be a solid white leotard (or biketard, depending on the character) with a colored skirt, with a bow, and a white crop top, with a sailor collar and bow, over it.

Gemstone: Diamond (every color, not only clear). The reason I am explaining the color scheme and gemstone of each Sailor Scout is because this is the stone that will be in their tiaras and the center piece of their front bows.

Flower: Orange Blossom, of course it is associated with food.

Naming Choice: Using the American first name from the dubbed version would be best. It is very well known at this point. As for the last name, instead of Tsukino, maybe Cunningham to give a more Caucasian American last name. Tsukino Usagi is supposed to be a play on “Rabbit of the Moon”. The name Serena was chosen for use in the American dubbed version because Serena is supposed to relate to Selene (Greek goddess of the Moon), so I chose Cunningham because it means “rabbit’s home”. Since Serena is the “rabbit of the moon” then the Earth family would be “the rabbit’s home”.

Sailor Moon: A Series of My Train of Thought

***Disclaimer: My train of thought may not ride on the same tracks as most people’s would, so I apologize ahead of time if it seems my ideas jump around too often. Also, I’m a huge fan of Sailor Moon however I would not call myself a super fan. I have not read the mangas nor have I seen Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. I have seen the 1990’s English dubbed (and edited) version and the Japanese Live Action. Any information I get about the mangas, musical, or anything I’ve never seen or read is purely from internet research. I will mostly use the American names for each character. ***

If I had the money to produce an American live action of Sailor Moon, I would adjust a few details to make it fit into American television, and the world as a whole. I want it to be a television series that can be found on HBO, Netflix, Starz, AmazonPrime, etc. Netflix would be my top pick due to the range of audiences it can reach. I believe the show would be rated around PG-13 or TV-14. It would perhaps relate to the ratings of Stranger Things on Netflix, due to the number of deaths, battles, etc.

To make the show more Americanized, it will take place in a city or country in America. I have not picked the city (or county) yet, but I don’t want it to be a city already popular through TV (like Las Angeles, New York City, or San Francisco), but I do want it to be a real place. A few examples that come to mind are Richmond, VA (Henrico or Chesterfield Counties), San Antonio, TX (Bexar County), or Phoenix, AZ (Maricopa County). Although the city/county itself never truly needs to be named.

To make it more worldly, the Sailor Scouts will come from different states and/or countries. I have made this decision due to the fact that I find it hard to believe that Queen Serenity would send most of these people to be reborn in a single place, while others are spread out. I have even come up with reasons for each of the Sailor Scouts to end up in the same place, but the show will follow a Game of Thrones structure where you will have multiple story lines going on at the same time, and only cross paths at the moment they are suppose to. So instead of introducing the “new” Sailor Scout in the episode she becomes a Sailor Scout. She will be introduced in her own story line in the first few episodes, unless it is necessary to delay the introduction.

The next handful of posts will be my dream cast for the Sailor Scouts and Tuxedo Mask. Each of these characters will get their own post, since I want to be able to explain their background, appearance, and personality within my idea of a live action TV series.

Little Shop of Horrors: Dream Cast

Let’s remake a Little Shop of Horrors! I’m only going to do the characters that make a difference to the movie, the ones that really stand out above all the rest. However, I don’t want to choose the person to voice the plant, Audrey II. I’m not sure if the plant should be soulful, deep, or angry. I think it is up to the director as to what kind of voice they would want to hear. I greatly enjoyed Levi Stubbs’ voice in Little Shop of Horrors (1986) and I’m not sure who would be able to live up to that voice.

The Craft: Reboot Dream Cast

“The Craft” reboot is set to start recording in July of 2019. The movie is going to be a full reboot, not a sequel or a remake, so the characters of the original movie may be referenced, but not the cast we will be watching. I have created a dream cast (like always) on this movie. I have picked actors to represent the place of the previous characters. If you look at the “Charmed” reboot, all the “character places” have been filled: three witches, their guardian (grandmother/mother), their whitelighter, law enforcement love interest, demon love interest, etc. Below is my dream cast of the reboot of “The Craft”.

Mrs. Bailey - Robin Tunney (this would be a good character to mix the mother and witch in the store that tells Sarah she is a natural witch, plus having Robin Tunney, the original Sarah, be the one to help her daughter control her magic.)

Resident Evil: Dreamcast

I’ve heard they are rebooting Resident Evil, yet again. I hope this time it follows the games better. The games themselves already have a great storyline. Well, below are the actors I would want to play each character if I was in charge. I placed it in alphabetical order because I don’t think any single character is more important than the other. Also, I based the ages of the actors off the age the characters would have been in 1998 because that’s the year of the first game.

Highlander: Dreamcast

Highlander had a few movies and a tv show. The movies and tv show didn’t follow each other perfectly, but overall they were all intriguing to watch. I would love to see a reboot of the Highlander tv show, where it mixes the characters of the movies and the tv show to make a cohesive storyline. A show, much like Game of Thrones, where it follows the lives of multiple people. The 6 main characters to follow, in my opinion, would be Connor MacLeod, Duncan MacLeod, Amanda, Ramirez, Methos, and Kate Devaney. Below is the main characters with a few extras, and who I would like to play them in a reboot.

Connor MacLeod - John Bell (Scottish: Connor had his first death at the age of 18, making him forever a 18 year old.)

Duncan MacLeod - Sean Biggerstaff (Scottish: Duncan had his first death at age 30.)

Ramirez - Rami Malek (Egyptian: Ramirez’ first death age is unknown.)

Amanda Deveraux - Eva Green (French: Amanda had her first death at age 30.)

Kate Devaney - Adelaide Kane (Irish: Kate had her first death at age 29. Duncan’s wife.)

Methos - Omid Abtahi (Probably Sumerian: Methos’ first death age is unknown)

Nakano - Hiroyuki Sanada (Japanese: Nakano’s first death was at age 61)

Little Women (1994) is one of my favorite movies. I absolute love Winona Ryder as Jo March. Honestly, I don’t see why they would need to remake an already great movie. However, I do know there was a lot of the book that wasn’t placed into the movie. That's my girl!

Sometimes my niece surprises me

I was in the bathroom and I was without toliet paper. And the only other person in the whole house was my 1 and half year old niece.

I was doomed. I thought “Why not? I have nothing to lose. Let’s ask the niece.” She was playing in the hallway since I wanted her close. So, I called out to her and showed her the empty toilet paper roll. Then I asked if she could get a roll from the closet. She went to the closet but I had no idea if she knew what she was getting.

She struggled and struggled. But she couldn’t open the closet. Curse those baby proof doors!

So, the baby just stands in the hallway sadly and I have given up.

I tell her not to bother with it when suddenly she runs. She opens her parent’s bedroom door which can’t be closed all the way since it’s kind of broken. However, she isn’t allowed in there. So, I am like

I worry she is just messing around in there and I can’t chase her cause I’m stuck! Then I hear her running again. Apparently, she ran into her parent’s bedroom and straight into their connected bathroom.

She came back with a glob of toilet paper in her hands like

Baby, you so smart!

Me: Because it's not about the money for Hufflepuffs. *singing* They work hard for no money.

Street Fighter Movie Dream Cast

In 1994, Jean-Claude Van Damme played the part of Guile in the Street Fight Live Action Movie. Although this movie was highly memorable, mostly due to Zangief screaming to change the channel, with the graphics we have for movies and tv shows nowadays, I believe it would be a great time to create a new and improved Street Fighter movie. I didn’t cast every character, but here is a good start.

SeaQuest DSV - Reboot Dream Cast

Today, I have decided to create a dream cast for a reboot of SeaQuest DSV. I haven’t heard anything about a reboot, but a girl can dream. Below I have compiled my list of some of the characters (but not all) of the SeaQuest DSV cast throughout the 3 seasons it was on air. Since I did change the nationality and/or race of some of the characters, some of the names may need to be altered if anyone is against them keeping the names of the characters. But personally, I know plenty of Caucasians with Asian last names, Native Americans with Hispanic last names, African-Americans with Caucasian last names, and Asians with German last names. I don’t really think any of the names cause any problems.
