Musae is a short story about art, obsession, love, and death - will your artist survive, or will his creation consume him?
Tartosa is the home of great natural beauty. From its brilliant golden beaches to the historical walks through the township, many an artist finds his way to the village in search of inspiration.
Your artist arrives in Tartosa seeking his muse. He may be stricken with writers block, he may be escaping a reputation that no longer suits him. Whatever the reason, this place has been the relief of many an artist before you and many yet to come.
It is here that your artist will find his greatest muse. It is here that his art finds meaning. But what is the cost of a masterpiece? What does it take from the soul of its creator, and what does the artist leave of himself in marble, in canvas, in ink?
No creator is immortal, but in art, he lives on forever.
I realize this synopsis is vague and that's for a reason, I promise I'm not just being vague for the sake of mystery lmao. Musae is a 100% written story, so there is no gameplay involved! During the course of the short story, your character will meet and depict The Muse. The creation that comes of this meeting will be his best, his most brilliant - and, for all but one of these artists, it will be his last.
I'm looking for about 8 male artists for this project, and you can submit more than one!
Be as creative as you like with your artist's method of expression. Filmmakers, photographers, sculptors, musicians, painters, writers - whatever art form you can think of is welcome!
Please give me as much description about your character as possible, give me all the story you want, I am HUNGERY for it. Backstory, former art pieces, family, personality, his hopes and dreams, how he became an artist, anything and everything you want to share with me is amazing!
CC is great, my personal style is typically maxis mix and I'd prefer no alpha hairs just because I haven't figure out how to make them look good with smoothing on lmao. You don't need to dress him for all occasions, but you can if you like!
Deadline for submissions will tentatively be Halloween, as I'm in and out of town for most of October.
