friendly reminder that while castiel does have a huge heart and is v soft he’s also downright grumpy, cunning and ruthless. he has taken on entire armies by himself, dug a bullet out of his stomach and stabbed his brother in the eye with it, used a demon as a bridge to escape holy fire, blows down doors just because he’s irritated by them, and has (and would again) gone toe to toe with entities as old as the fucking universe itself. the list goes on. but you get my point.

Kinda sad how most of Cas' family never saw the real him. Jack definitely did, but the Winchesters only saw his vessel, which while he got attached to it over the years was never truly his face or body.
