The fact that I straight up screamed: “It was me! IT WAS MEEEE!!!” When I read this part just goes to show how much I’m obsessing over G. My beautiful angsty gremlin! <3 I love them SO MUCH!!!
Yes! I had to have it as a little moment. I'm enjoying writing for G, they have emotions but refuse to let them show. Pretend they don't care, when really it's impossible for them not to. Total wet cat!
Wonder how if G kept anything from MC, and if so how much?

Just had an Unhinged thought related to one of the previous karaoke asks: MC singing Silver Springs Stevie Nick's style and making Eye Contact with Chris the whole damn time. "I'll follow you down 'til the sound of my voice will haunt you," like, make Chris SUFFER MORE, hex them in the middle of this Karaoke place in front of God and the regulars
That is one of my favorite songs that Stevie wrote. Love it, and honestly it fits. It's a deep song, that truly explains so many emotions. I think most of us want Chris to suffer in some way as well as Jade.
MC would have their own little fandom just supporting them in the background.

(Just a birthday post for our icy neighbor. (G's birthday was Feb. 14 , late post but it's here. ) Below the cut~)
G looks out through the glass window of the cafe. Watching how the rain cascades down. They look along the Chicago streets. Some that where bustling just minutes ago. Now only a few stragglers are braving the harshness of the rain.
They catch a glimpse of the woman running to get to her car, nestling a small dog under her arm. One who clearly is going to need a good dry off when they get back home.
They fight the urge to wave at the little pup as it stares at G. A habit they have had since they were young, now one that is almost ingrained into them thanks to working with animals all day.
They crinkle their nose, taking in the scent of the cafe. The warm baked goods and various flavors of coffee being made. The cafe wasn’t overly crowded, a handful of people just loafing about. Biding their time until the storm begins to die down.
They haven’t been to this cafe in years. Not since their college days. Days when they would be sitting across from two people very dear to them. It had become routine, to visit on the way to classes, even becoming such a frequent spot to visit that they would begin to do so even on the weekends.
G is pulled from their thoughts when they hear the sound of a cup being placed in front of them. They look up to see an old woman, one they had seen many times before. Smiling at them with a crooked grin on their face. They nod to the cup and G follows their gaze.
“Dark roast, one sugar. No more no less, correct?” She looks at G knowingly, taking in their questioning gaze. “Your usual.”
Then it registers. Their usual, from those years ago. The same drink they would order when waiting for Cam or for…. G nods. “Thank you, that is my usual. However, I didn’t order anything.”
The old woman smacks G on the back, bellowing a deep laugh. One they remember fondly, back in those days when they would be arguing over exams, studying far too hard. When Cam would steal their cookie. The one cookie they ordered to reward themselves for nights of studying. Every fucking time.
The old woman points back to the counter. Where a tall redhead was holding a small brown bag and two cups of coffee. Two cups?
“He ordered it for you. Said it was a birthday present. Happy birthday by the way, don’t even try to pay, think of it as a gift for all the business you three used to bring in here.” She smiles fondly to G then back to Cam who was now making his way over to the small table that G had very briefly thought of as their own little place of solitude in the cafe.
“Hey birthday -”
“What do you want?”
Cam furrows his brows, blowing a breath before taking a foot to yank a chair out and flop into it. Laying the bag and coffee on the table. “Last time I checked hotshot, it was your birthday. Forgive me for ruining this sacred day with well wishes. I suppose that means you don’t want the old birthday song too then?” He crosses his arms, waving a hand to the bag and then to G.
“Cam, how did you find me exactly? I was supposed to be at work.” G grabs the brown paper bag, rolling the sides down to look at whats inside. While part of him shouldn’t be surprised at the little cake inside, with red frosting and a little candle on top. Yet part of them is surprised to see it, if they didn’t know better they could have sworn it looked similar to one that someone had made them years ago.
“Thought the colors worked for the day and all. Happy birthday hotshot. Well wishes and all that. Really couldn’t have been born on a worse day. The amount of couples celebrating today and you sitting here with me no less.” Cam reaches for G’s coffee, yanking it close to him and taking a swig. Then coughing at the bitterness. “Shit, you still drink this crap?”
G can’t help but smile at their old friend, now taking a large gulp from one of the paper cups in front of them. While some things have changed since then, it was nice to see that this friendship was as dysfunctional as it ever was. Still one of the few relationships that they held so dear.
They clear their throat catching Cam’s attention. G nods to them then takes the cake out. “Thanks Cam. I wasn’t planning on even celebrating.”
The two lock eyes, several years of friendship between them. No longer trying to figure out how to enjoy the silence and forcing a conversation just to fill the void. After a couple years they were finally able to just come to terms that it was no longer the three of them. Now just a duo, like when their friendship just began.
“They’re not here. If that’s what your worried about.”
G stops fiddling with the candle on the cake, something they didn’t even realize they were doing until they see Cam watching their movement.
“I didn’t think they were.”
“Really? Then why do you look so tense.” Cam makes a move to rake some of the icing off the cake only for G to swat their hand away.
G turns slightly, the baked good cradled in their hands as if it were some precious thing that would be tarnished once Cam had placed his hands upon it. “When did i-”
“When you saw I had two cups. I noticed the minute you looked at me. They’re busy getting settled in.”
Wonder if it’s like the house we stayed in that weekend. Wait….what am I thinking? No G, this is the last thing you need to be thinking about today. The very fucking last.
G nods, making sure to keep their face blank. Not wanting to let Cam see just how okay they’re pretending to be.
Cam places a hand on the table, standing ever so slightly just to give themselves more reach as they take another swipe for the cake. “You’re really not going to ask?”
“Will you stop? Hell, does this look like your birthday cake? Does it?”
That breaks the red head, who is now bursting with laughter. Yeah, something really never change. This in turn makes G begin to laugh as well. Something they don’t do much of anymore. Once it settles down, they then close their eyes to make a wish on the cake, before removing the candle and taking a bite.
“Do you really not want to know?” Cam breaks the silence, watching his friend enjoy the one small gift he knew they would accept for their birthday.
G turns to look back out the window to their left. Gloomy day, sad for those couples and friends who plan on celebrating Valentines Day together. Though maybe no more sad than them, pretending that what’s going on doesn’t affect them in some way.
Their dark eyes trail over to Cam, who is watching them intently, sipping on his coffee. “Fine then, I’ll bite.”
“Chris.” Cam clears his throat, never easy for them to hide the disdain in their voice for their sibling. “I don’t really know how to start, so I’m just going to say it.”
G crinkles their brows, laying their cake down and crossing their hands along the table top leaning a bit closer. Yeah, it’s too late to hide their interest now.
“Chris and Jade were having an affair.”
Their sister and their fiance? Since when, are they alright, where are they? G’s thoughts were running, trying to make the situation make sense. Yet that was something no one could really make sense of, a betrayal so close.
“Are th-”
“They’re staying with me at the moment,” Cam continues. “That’s what I meant by their settling in. I’m sure they would have wanted to see you for your birthday if they could but..”
G waves off the thought, they hadn’t seen each other in awhile now. They wouldn’t expect them to see them now after this amount of time, after everything in their lives is falling around them.
Cam sighs, “Chris kept the dog.”
“What!?”
“Inside voice hotshot.” Cam jests.
G kicks at Cam under the table, content when they hear him oof and begin to rub at their knee. “Fine, what?” They say quieter.
“They kept the dog, the apartment. It’s all a shit show. Thought you should hear about it. I know it’s not the best news on your birthday.”
“Are they...are they alright?”
How long has passed since they asked the question aloud? Did their voice sound off, because it felt it. It felt like it took everything in them to ask. But they wanted to know, needed to even.
Cam nods slightly. “They will be.” He goes to stand, picking up the cups. His eyes picking up on the bouquet of flowers on the chair next to G. “Cute.” Cam jokes.
G had completely forgot the flowers, the fact they were even there to begin with. Their hand goes to cover them. They cough slightly, trying to think of what to say, yet choosing nothing. They wonder which is worse. “Thanks for, for everything. I’ll text you soon. Wait what do I owe you for the cake?”
For a brief second Cam wonders if they should tell them who it’s from. Who sat up making them the previous night, who argued with him that it had to be Red Velvet because that was G’s favorite. “Nothing, it’s homemade. Happy Birthday.”
They watch as Cam leaves, headed down the street yanking their coat up around their ears, not bothering to cover their red hair. G looks to the cake, taking another bite. Homemade huh? Wait, Cam can’t bake...
They pull back, looking over the cake, the bright frosting, the deep coloring of the cake itself. It hit’s them, slowly overtime. Someone made this just for them, even through all the shit Chris and Jade is putting them through. Their favorite cake, on their birthday no less. They can’t help but smile slightly, much to their own annoyance, not even hearing the notification from their phone. Happy Birthday indeed.

Totally headcannon-ing that my MC has called Chris by G's name at very inopportune times as well 🤭 G was totally my MCs 'one that got away' that they still occasionally daydreamed about 😭 hope G is amused if my MC ever confesses that
I enjoyed doing G's. They can be so socially awkward so when things are said it can be at the most inopportune moment. G has also done it very offhandedly when on a call or something, they had just gotten so used to talking to MC so frequently, same for Cam.
G would be fist pumping the sky to know that, especially to know Chris was referred to as them. They would love to have that grain of knowledge, something to remind Chris of if ever needed.
(mc being able to wear one of ex-g's shirts is going to definitely get people talking.)

I have to say the idea of Kara going against Chris is weirdly hot to me.
The idea of Kara putting her foot down (not necessarily as confrontationally as Chris of course) after years of both mutual pining for her to just interrupt Chris bitching about MC with "Their with me now so you better have a good reason why both of us are wrong." does make me weak.
It's nice seeing Kara come into her own, especially with what has transpired between Chris and Jade. She is going to go through a lot because of her older sibling, not to mention her dark secret she has that those who romance her will get to discover.

I found this blog and read through some posts and now I’m obsessed with cam. Jade can keep Chris. I mean I was already gonna go for cam because I love friends to lovers but even so I love what I’ve seen of cam so far
Glad to see another Cam-lover in our midst! I do think he is the more popular of the siblings so far with Chris definitely dead last. Can't begin to wonder why (lol). I hope you look forward to what's coming for Love and Leases (demo, character backgrounds, etc)~

(Time for our favorite dilf's Fluff ABC. The previous ABC's can be found here and here. Below the cut~)
A = Admiration - Ardent admires when someone is responsible.
B = Body - He's a fan of the entire body, though if you wanted to know which one he would focus on in the middle of the night, would have to ask the old man.
C = Cuddling - He cuddles Cupid when she allows it. When she doesn't he gets a nice scratch as a reminder. Now with a partner Ardent loves being the big spoon, but he will deny he enjoys cuddling.
D = Dates - He doesn't have that much time to date. When he used to he would always offer to cook for his date, Ardent loves to show off his skill in the kitchen, among other places.
E = Emotions - He likes to pretend to be this big tough guy, but one unanswered call to his niece and the man is sulking for the better part of the hour. Ardent doesn't hold back his thoughts while some may say he's an angry person, in reality he just stopped trying to please other people.
F = Family - Ardent is very close to his parent's, especially his mother. He takes care of the complex just for them, not wanting to accept the payment they send his way. He has a sister, who is the mother to his very loved niece. We also can't forget Cupid.
G = Gifts - He will deny he enjoys recieving gifts, but in actuality when someone thinks enough to give him something he truly cherishes it. For Ardent, he doesn't mind to give gifts. When he gives you homemade food, that's when you know he has a soft spot for you.
H = Holding Hands - He will cling to his partners hand like his life depends on it, not wanting to get seperated. Squeeze as hard as you want, he won't let go. Though if you point out you're holding his hand, he pretends it's as a favor to you, definitely not because he likes it.
I = Injury - Ardent is very calm in a crisis, be that an accident or his sister giving birth. He is focused on the end goal. So if someone is hurt, he will basically be like a mother hen. Ensuring they get an ample amount of rest and relaxation.
J = Jokes - The guy tries he really does, when peope laugh at his "jokes", it's usually when he's serious. His jokes tend to fall flat. Every once in awhile he has a good one.
K = Kisses - Ardent kisses with hunger, full of passion. As if the last of breath in his body belongs to his partner. He can be rough more often than not, but if you're lucky enough he might just surprise you with how tender he can be.
L = Love - He loves many people, Ardent doesn't see the point of hiding emotions. It's not something his parents did and it's not something he does either. He grew up in a home where the phrase I love you was always in use. Be that from his family or friends.
M = Memory - Ardent's favorite memory is seeing his niece for the first time, well that and adopting Cupid. Remembering how small she was when he took Cupid home is one of the highlights of his life. Knowing that he could in fact be so caring for her, even though sometimes Cupid just doesn't have time for that.
N = Nightmare (what is one of their fears?) - Not being able to be a safe space for someone he cares about. He might suffer with hearing other peoples emotions, but Ardent still wants to be trusted by them. To be that shoulder they can lean on.
O = Oddity (what is one quirk they have?) - Many people don't know he's actually greek. That is until he gets angry, then he can't help but curse in his native tongue.
P = Pet Names (what do they like to call you?)- Kitten.
Q = Quality Time (how do they like to spend time with you?) - Ardent would love just hanging out, be that at home or somewhere else. Though he hates when people pay him attention, when it's with you he will deal with it. He would love to just enjoy the night in each others company, with a good book and a nice glass of wine.
R = Rhythm (what song do they hum to themselves, when they think no one is listening.)- Torn to shreds by Deff Lepard.
S = Secrets (how open are they?) - Not very, though that will change over time. But get him in front of his mom, or niece and he is like an open book. The man is putty in their hands.
T = Time (how do they spend their time?) - He spends his time quite divided, be that taking his niece to after school activities, working on things at the complex, trying to get his mother's Manicotti recipe. Ardent can be seen going in and out many times of the day. The question is for who.
U = Upset (how do they act when they're upset?) - It depends on the level of upset. He could simmer in his anger, sulk, or just let it all out.
V = Vaunt (what are they proud of? Do they like to show you off?) - His body, his cat, and his cooking. He will show it all off if given a chance. Ardent works hard to keep in good health, to love Cupid, and to be able to make a good meal.
W = Warrior (how do they feel about you fighting? Would they fight for you, beside you, etc?) - He doesn't like to admit he would fight for anyone. Instead he prefers to pretend to care less. (Such a lie). Ardent would fight for his partner, or for someone he sees is done wrong. He might be an ass, but he refuses to let people be treated as such.
X = X-Ray (how well are they able to read you?) - Ardent can read a shy person very well. Only time will tell how well he pushes MC's.
Y = Yes (how would they propose to you?) - Maybe something silly like having the ring on Cupid's collar for MC to see. Whose to say just yet.
Z = Zen (what makes them feel calm?) - Cupid laying on his chest, or rubbing his back. Just letting him feel his emotions and knowing someone is there for him can make him calm.

I heard, "I Don't Wanna Be Your Friend," by Rita Ora a few weeks ago and it immediately reminded me of Cam and MC. Been thinking of them in their respective rooms blasting it through their headphones not wanting to tell one another that they're in love with the other 😭
I just listened to it and added it straight to Cam's playlist! I'm debating making ship playlists just to give a general idea of how the romances could go.
Cam is definitely pining maybe crying listening to some songs and yelling into his pillow. Writing in his journal about his feelings and the moment he hears any movement hiding it so that MC will never find it.

(Our second fluff ABC's. This time for our hothead. You can find the first fluff ABC's here. Below the cut~)
A = Admiration - Cam admires honesty.
B = Body - Any part of MC, doesn't matter. Just know Cam is very much paying attention to all of their body.
C = Cuddling - There were many nights when MC and Cam were having a sleepover that Cam ended up half laying on MC. Cam loves to cuddle, and why not do that with your favorite person?
D = Dates - For Cam he would prefer something more laid back. While he would take MC out on the town if that is what they wanted, just having that one on one time is a plus in their book.
E = Emotions - They are known as our resident hot head for a reason. Cam can take a lot, he will bury it. (Looking at all those emotions he has pushed down for MC). If Cam feels someone is being rude or out of pocket just know he will do something about it. Even if it has nothing to do with him.
F = Family - For him, those people he considers famliy are the most important to him. Whether that is MC, or MC's aunt, even doggo. They matter to Cam. Now how that applies to his own siblings, you will just have to wait and see.
G = Gifts - He loves to give gifts, believes them to be little reminders of his appreciation. If you see the inside of Cam's room, you will see trinkets from many different points in his life. Things from his childhood, such as the first pebble MC gave him. To a stack of polaroids of Kara's first steps, to when he got the doggo for MC.
H = Holding Hands - He holds hands with such fervency. Afraid that if he lets go the person whose hand he was holding will cease to exist.
I = Injury - While Cam can handle pain thanks to growing up sick, he can't handle it when it has to do with people he cares about. When he saw MC's nose bleed (thanks Cam) he nearly fainted form the sight of blood. Just the idea of hurting someone gives him the ick. (unless that person is Chris.)
J = Jokes - Definitely a jokester, sometimes you just have to laugh to keep from crying. Sadly that is one of Cam's ideals. He will be sulking out of your view.
K = Kisses - Cam kisses with urgency, as if each one will be the last. Each one more dear than the one before.
L = Love - Cam has had love for people, platonically, and romantically. Though no love burns brighter or hurts as much as the one he has for his best friend. It's a love to never be given lightly or that expects anything in return.
M = Memory - He has many memories he holds dear, from the first word Kara spoke, to his first kiss. One of his favorite memories is prom, and when he headbutted Chris. (Okay that one yeah that one is top 5.)
N = Nightmare (what is one of their fears?) - One of his biggest fears is to be discarded. To be replaced and treated as if he never mattered at all. He can do without that.
O = Oddity (what is one quirk they have?) - MC will see Cam just grab at his hair and faceplant on the table, the couch even his bed. MC has yet to find out why but they always hear Cam mumbling things under his breath.
P = Pet Names (what do they like to call you?)- Red.
Q = Quality Time (how do they like to spend time with you?) - Cam prefers to just hang out, relax. Talk about your shared past and what coul be your future. Watch really cringey shows. Share a pint of ice cream together. Help in any way he can. Also…laundry.
R = Rhythm (what song do they hum to themselves, when they think no one is listening.)- He will hum anything even if he doesn't know the lyrics, his current go to is Say Yes To Heaven by Lana Del Ray.
S = Secrets (how open are they?) - With others he's not open at all, with MC like an open book. (well except for one secret he keeps close). He will never intentionally tell MC's secrets, those are sacred to him.
T = Time (how do they spend their time?) - Pining. Doodling in a journal he keeps hidden in a drawer. Taking horrible candid photos of people. Cam also likes to read, there will always be a book dog eared in his camera bag.
U = Upset (how do they act when they're upset?) - Depends on how upset he is. While somethings he will bottle, other things will make him out swear a sailor. Cam gives it his all in a lot of things, especially when it comes to cussing someone out. Did they bump into MC, alright hes going to tell them their mother should have swallowed. Our boy is fiesty sometimes to a fault. But it's because he truly cares.
V = Vaunt (what are they proud of? Do they like to show you off?) - Their accomplishments. While his parents don't recognize how good he is as a photographer, Cam is truly good at it. At capturing a moment or an idea just with photos. It's something he prouds himself on. If he sucks at everything else, at least he knows this is the one thing he can do.
W = Warrior (how do they feel about you fighting? Would they fight for you, beside you, etc?) - He has a scar on the back of his thigh from doing just that. Cam will fight for you, beside you. To him it doesn't matter. You just tell him where to throw that punch.
X = X-Ray (how well are they able to read you?) - Very well. There will be times when Cam can read MC better than he can himself. He won't always know when something is wrong or whats wrong, especially if your relationship changes. He will try his best to figure out whats wrong.
Y = Yes (how would they propose to you?) - I can't give all the details away, but it would depend. It's not that he wouldn't plan it, it's just likely that he would be so overcome with emotion that he just blurts it out.
Z = Zen (what makes them feel calm?) - Someone touching their hand or a hug. He never really got them from his family so to him it's not only shocking when someone does it but its so comforting to him that he wishes it would never end.
