My migraine has melted my fucking brain.

I'm over here having epiphanies about Fahrenheit to Celcius temp conversions. But like seriously celcius is making so much more sense at this moment... why doesn't the US use it and the metric system? Why do we have to be different? It's like the US is the weird kid in school who doesn't think he's weird but instead has this over inflated sense of ego and thinks he's awesome when really he's just rocking the boat for no damn apparent reason. Yep. I need sleep.

I met a girl at my softball tournament this weekend who was wearing one!!

This is such a good analogy because nobody thinks about it like this. If you wear glasses, you literally need constant use of a medical aid to experience the world like most people do. If it were anything besides glasses, that would be considered a disability. But needing glasses is an extremely common, visible, and accepted form of disability to the point that we don’t even consider it one, we just accept that some people need glasses and that’s perfectly normal and there’s nothing wrong with needing to rely on them.

That is how all disabilities and illnesses should be seen, and how we should look at treatment for them. You have a problem, and you need help dealing with it, and there’s nothing wrong with either of those things. That’s perfectly normal and that’s okay.

Folks, please check out Lucy's blog and follow it. It is a great retelling of the Supernatural story from a different perspective. This perspective is from the addition of a female character, Ellie, and c'mon let's face it the boys could use a female's perspective, sass, and advice from time to time. Do you enjoy Supernatural Fanfic? Have you ever wished there were more women in major roles on the show? Are you interested in reading long fics that produce new chapters all the time?

Well, The Supernatural Adventures of Ellie Singer just might interest you. I have given Bobby a daughter and inserted her into the show, rewriting episodes to fit Ellie into them. Sometimes she slots easily into the action and other times I deviate wildly from the original. It’s an exercise in how the show might have turned out if there was a woman in the main cast.

Ellie is the best friend the Winchesters never had. She listens to Sam when he needs someone. She laughs at Dean’s jokes. She sends distressed emails to Jo about the Naked Winchester Torsos that continually appear to tempt her.

Does that sound interesting to you? Well, HERE IS CHAPTER 1.

Where can you read the rest? Well, right here on tumblr is the best place. Here at @winchestersplusone, I don’t just post the main story. I also post Special Chapters and little ficlets that are exclusive to tumblr. They go into Ellie’s past, or tell a scene from a different point of view. Other times, I open the blog up so people can ask Ellie questions.

But you can also find the basic story on Ao3 and FF.net.

I’ve promised my followers here at @winchestersplusone that they can have a special present if we can reach 300 followers by Christmas Day. But I’m willing to throw more incentive into the pot.
