Tips For Anxiety For Littles Ones
• Distract yourself in the moment with something silly or relaxing- a favorite cartoon, playing with your toys, coloring. Even if the feeling doesn’t go away completely, it’s still nice to have something else to focus on.
• Talk to someone about how you’re feeling. Talking through your anxieties can help triggers be more identifiable and not as scary.
• Utilize soothing techniques such as deep breathing, holding a stuffie close and feeling the texture, listen to your favorite music.
• Try to stay in the present moment. Let yourself focus on what’s happening and not let yourself dwell on the past or future. Just focus on the feeling of being little and small.
• Treat yourself with something nice- a yummy snack you’ve been craving, new little gear, a new stuffie or toy- anything that could help you look forward to something, while also having something to distract yourself with.
• Find comfort in your senses- taking a warm bath with bubbles and bath toys or going on a walk to smell the fresh air!
• Remind yourself that it’s okay to be small and soak in that feeling if safety and comfort. It doesn’t make you bad- you deserve to feel stress-free and relaxed.

A: i have a few! i have a bunny lovie (named bunny), ikea dog, dog with a weighted heatable beanbag in its tummy, and a disney blankie!! they all make me feel very small and comfy! ^^

A: does it come as a surprise that i really like bluey?? i also like in the night garden for when i'm really tiny, it's nice to not have to think much when watching a show! and for when i'm a bit big to watch bluey and itng, i like to watch ok ko ^^
🍿: were you a library kid growing up, and if so, what was your favourite thing to do there?
A: i was a library kid! we didn't have many local libraries though, so we had to drive like an hour to get to one, so i didn't do much inside the library x) but when i did go to the library there was this little play area, i would just sit and read those little miss books in there... if not the public library then the school one, i'd sit there on rainy days during recess and read the comic books over and over again!
i actually rekindled my love for the school library during my senior year of high school, where i'd sit every day and do homework, or read, or nap. my librarian loved it so much, she designated the chair i would always sit in as my very own spot! it was usually very nice and quiet, easy on the brain... especially since i have sensory issues!

🐝: My favorite childhood animal was a Sea Turtle! It's still my favorite today but when I was in 3rd grade, I did a research project on them and since then I've always loved them
🦋: My top 3 favorite cartoons are: Rugrats, Hello Kitty and Winnie the Pooh!
🐛: Favorite childhood book? A Series of Unfortunate Events!! Hands down. I read the entire series in 5th grade cuz my English teacher had a little library in her classroom that we could borrow from!

☎️: favourite fashion style?
A: well that's just tricky now isn't it?? hmm... i've always really liked kidcore fashion, but currently i've been excited about fall, and that means gilmore girls, and that means rory inspired outfits x") i know it's a lil weird but i've been having fun sorting out my closet! (i also really like punk fashion, the only reason i can't dabble in it is because i live with weirdo parents x/)
🚗: favourite song?
A: at the moment it's gotta be Sam Jam by Covey, but if we're talking all time favourites, Not Allowed by TV Girl takes the cake for me, i could listen to that all day every day <3 also, i've been really into sea shanties for some reason??? my favourite one of those is called "Chanty" by Fine Crowd, but i haven't been able to find lyrics for it, so i've been writing them all down as i listen to it... trying to figure out what they say... it's kinda fun x)

getting to come home to ur baby after a long day of work / school, seein them all cuddled up on the couch with their fav stuffie and a sweater that looks suspiciously like one u wear often, obvious they were trying to wait for u :C
then u pull up the blanket higher over their shoulders so they can rest a bit more while u tidy up, knowing being a tot is hard work sometimes.
u go around nd clean up the remnants of their playtime ( coloring books, toys, etc ),
happy to do so and happy to see ur baby so soft nd peaceful as they rest !
after ur done, u hesitantly wake them up so u can guide them to bed to get comfier. they whine nd insist on staying up longer with u, but u make a pinkie promise with them to wake them up when dinner is done, and that's enough to soothe them back into their nap :C
nd u get to kiss them on their forehead and wish them sweet dreams before scurrying over to the stove once again.
( silently praying dinner gets done quick so u can go back to softly cooing at how cute nd cuddly ur teeny baby is hehe )

A: definitely neon kid! kidcore is my jam!! it just reminds me so much of back in the day, & cartoons ^^ pastel is adorable but just not what gets me small, unless it's like, newborn stuff <:-)

A: tricky... if we're talking little snacks, i was an ingredient household kid, so cereals or small fruits will do the trick x) i also really like rice / chocolate pudding! or anything chocolate really x) i love chocolate...

A: oh i loved dogs... i would pretend to be a dog allllll the time. nintendogs was my favourite game. i wanted a dog so bad... ended up with two cats x") i still love them though!

A: tricky as well! i've always liked alt fashion, like goth, punk, etc... i consider myself punk as well! thanks for raising a punk kid dad x) but i always wanted to try goth fashion bc i just think its so cool. ik i should get into the music but i don't know how to start and i don't trust spotify generated stuff.
