Yep! Had to go to the ER twice for a severe migraine flare up in a week, one time thinking I was having a stroke because I couldnât stand up or speak properly. It felt like I was drunk and couldnât get words out. The second time I was of course sobbing in excruciating pain and a nurse literally told me to âstop being so dramatic youâre making it worseâ. Both times nothing even helped because I needed specialized treatments I didnât know about (:
Medical professionals are a bitch most of the time
I have 0% tolerance for doctors anymore, if they treat me shitty once they will again, thus I'll either drop them or file a complaint.
Before my CRPS was diagnosed i was too scared to stand up to doctors. The pain made me SO DESPERATE i was willing to deal with anything. Now that i have this new undiagnosed illness i realized my body and mind PHYSICALLY cannot do that anymore.
The second to last time i didn't stand up for myself with a doctor i punched the medical bed as soon as she left the room, the last time i couldn't even hear what he said because i was busy restraining myself from punching HIM. i was seeing red, face twitching and everything. My body literally cannot take being quiet anymore. I do not care if i make things more difficult. I don't care if it takes longer to get diagnosed because im pushing for better treatment. I would rather stand up for myself and physically suffer more than let these doctors believe they are allowed to treat me like a dog. They don't treat me like a HUMAN, they don't see us as HUMAN. They see us as pests. A burden, a problem to solve. And if they can't solve you THEY FUCKING HATE YOU. but i think i hate them more.
Doctors are in a gross position of power over their patients, they decide if you live or die, your existence is in their hands, you beg them for help because they are your God and they spit in your face. Even if you literally cry and beg them to help they will give you NOTHING and i know this because thats what i did. I literally BEGGED these people sobbing to help my pain and they did nothing. They do not care about you. They never will. We are not people to them. Nurses are often the same way. I've had nurses and doctors lie straight to my face, make faces when i tell them my story, and do other horrible things.
I can't do it. I can't deal with it anymore. I will fight tooth and nail and be the biggest Karen in existence to these doctors the SECOND they treat me wrong.
I have found two. TWO doctors out of over 50 that i actually like. 2 that treat me appropriately and not like im a bug. 2 that treat me like a human being.

To any of my vestibular migraine friends: pressure reducing earplugs!!
Iâm not sure exactly how each person is affected as there are a range of symptoms even in specific types of migraines, but for me most of the time I feel like thereâs pressure in my ears, basically like how you feel on a plane but all the time.
Iâve been looking for a solution because obviously itâs very uncomfortable and fucking hurts, and recently Iâve tried pressure reducing earplugs that are meant for air travel. Theyâre not perfect but it reduces a LOT of the feeling! Plus theyâre fairly inexpensive, mine were $8.50 CAD but Iâm sure you can find them cheaper. The package says for best results they can be used a maximum of 5 times, but of course my broke ass is using them until theyâre completely useless. (For anyone complaining about the sustainability may I remind you billionaires are the ones majorly fucking over the planet and medical devices are necessary for us.)
Just sending the recommendation out there since I know thereâs not a lot that helps chronic migraines and doctors often donât know what to recommend. I looked them up on my own after I saw them in a pharmacy and wondered if theyâd work or not.

âYou shouldnât self-ID as ADHD/autistic, youâre turning a very real mental condition into a trendâ Ok then stop saying delulu. Stop speculating on which cluster C personality disorder the criminals you hear about on the news have. Stop saying âschizopostingâ and âacousticâ and âis it restarted?â Stop using âpsycopathâ and âsociopathâ as catch-all ways of calling someone a bad person. Stop saying âthe intrusive thoughts wonâ when you bleach your hair and then turn your nose up at people who suffer from very real, very scary urges of physical/sexual violence. Stop saying âIâm so OCDâ as a way of calling yourself neat. Stop treating BPD/ASPD/Bipolar as inherently abusive. Stop saying âOP I am living in your wallsâ without tagging for unreality. Stop diagnosing complete strangers youâve never met on r/AITA with NPD.
You first. If you donât want our disabilities to be treated like trends then stop belittling and minimising them. Iâll NEVER judge a person for trying find labels for their symptoms when an apathetic, racist, sexist, ableist healthcare system refuses to. But I will absolutely judge a hypocrite. Which a lot of you are

What are some lesser known rhetorical devices that are surprisingly common in modern literature?
Syngunquity: Use of words you invent yourself. Example: "Syngunquity is the name for the use of words you invent yourself."
Deeznutcequence: Stating a similar sounding preface to an inevitable point. Example: âHave you ever seen an actual Deez?â
Noyomiiem: Reference to a popular internet fad to explain a situation. Example: âThis is a man who is never gonna give you up or let you down.â
Just Fucking Lying: Popular in political discourse, you can actually just say shit that isn't true. Example: "Benedict Cumberbatch is not playing Khan."
Haetsynque: If you lack any talent to stay relevant in literature, you can stay famous by inciting hatred of innocent people and rallying useful bigots to your cause. Example: "J.K. Rowling."
Jhatchiipiti: Just have a computer write it for you. Example: "You can have a generative AI program write for you. Having programs writer for you is very programs and valuable, such as both writing, as well as having programming that writes is for you as well."
Hammocry: Hammocks are comfortable and while not traditionally considered a rhetorical device, they're much easier to sleep in. Example: "*zzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzz*"

Forgot to update I got housing April 2nd letâs go!!!
First day being homeless and itâs pretty bad, but not the worst thing in the world. Mainly itâs finding ways to cook food because itâs expensive and also hard to store
Luckily I have an electric kettle specifically meant to cook food in that my social worker got me, and it is literally one of the coolest things I own!! Unfortunately bathrooms seem to be the only place with outlets so all the gym girlies got to watch me cook oatmeal while doing my makeup
I didnât sleep at all last night, I tried to sleep under a random tree after walking 2 hours to a park but it was too anxiety inducing so gonna see if I can nap at someoneâs house
