STOLITZ PART 1/2- STOLAS IN FULL MOON
I AM NOT A STOLAS HATER, I LOVE STOLAS WITH ALL MY HEART (i have two hearts, one for stolas and one for blitzø). JUST WANTED TO POINT OUT SOME THINGS HE COULD'VE HANDLED BETTER IN FULL MOON.
Look, I feel SO BAD that Stolas' beautiful love confession was (in Stolas' POV) basically ridiculed and that his first "ily" was a complete joke. I love Full Moon because it explored the many facets of both character's and their complexities.
So let's talk abt where Stolas went wrong in Full Moon (making a part abt Blitzø too, dw nobody is safe heheh)
Stolas knows this is a hard conversation, he's taken into account IMP and keeping it alive and everything but the way he approached the actual topic (deal getting cut off) was very rash. Stolas does not think wisely about his words ("i need it back...permanently" (18:15) + "there's no need, i've made up my mind" (18:39)). Even though Stolas is giving him an out, he does not understand the leverage he has over Blitzø. This is the main thing I noticed abt Stolas in Full Moon, He seems to have come to a realization abt how wrong their deal is but has not come to terms abt how wrong their dynamic is. So when Stolas was pouring his heart out abt how he "wants Blitzø to stay", he is not realizing that Blitzø still has not had time to process him taking away the book in the first place and saying Blitzø does not need to fuck him anymore. This is something that Stolas and only Stolas could ever have the power to do bc of the power dynamic between them. Stolas think he's doing Blitzø a favour but all he's doing is reminding Blitzø that no matter how hard he has worked, it can all dissapear at Stolas' command, further enforcing the
"Blitzø, I think so very highly of you....i didn't realize you think so low of me" (HES CRYING FROM BOTH PAIR OF EYES, MY BABYYYYY)
Stolas babe, if you call someone ur little impish plaything, literally hide ur face with a menu when u get spotted in public with him, literally give him no choice but to fuck you in order to have a livelihood and successful business, HOW IS THAT TELLING HIM U THINK HIGHLY OF HIM? Look, i get it, Stolas does rlly care abt Blitzø, but the problem is, Stolas doesn't see his actions as harmful, he sees the deal as harmful. Stolas doesn't understand that such a huge power, stature and literal socio-economic gap is going to cause some issues that no crystals can fix. Stolas' ingrained bigotry towards imps as well as desperation to escape from his awful marriage cause him to be impulsive and abuse that power, unconsciously.
Stolas' biggest character flaw is his impulsiveness. He realised his sexuality extremely late and now is trying to experience as many things as possible to get back his childhood. He did it through the deal so he could find enjoyment in one thing in his life as well as experience a pivotal point in his queer awakening. The Full Moon Talk, despite being under the guise of maturity, is just as impulsive as the arrangement. Stolas is expecting a certain answer and expecting it immediately. Stolas has had time to understand his emotions and he knew exactly what he wanted to say before Blitzø came. Blitzø came in blind and Stolas knows he's bad with his feeling EVERYONE KNOWS BC IT'S SO OBVIOUS, so the fact that Stolas was expecting some grand love confession when Stolas literally speedrun the difficult parts of the conversation is unfair.

the new robe/blitzø's marks patterned is just further fuel to fire that this is hallucination stolas bc like why in any universe or lifetime would stolas be MAD at SEEING blitzø. especially if it's after full moon, he'll probably want to explain himself or some shit but this level of anger is definitely out of character since we're dealing wth blitzø here.
upon closer inspection ive realized his robes are more likely patterned with leaves but i REALLY thought his robe was covered in blitz's MARKS. it can't be a coincidence can it???

blitzø + moon symbolism
okay so the music video "Just Look My Way" takes place in Stolas' space-esque personal chamber somewhere in his castle. The music video repeatedly relate Stolas' feelings towards Blitzø with the moon. During the line "let me hold you, keep you close to me, i long to hear your voice" Stolas is seen trying his best to keep the tiny moon in his hands and preventing it from floating away. Again in the line "the walls you've conjured up to live" the moon rotates and we can see Blitzø stuck inside the black space or "dark side of the moon".
the moon symbolism can mean many things in regards to how Stolas feels about Blitzø.
Firstly, it could be a manifestation of how Stolas is always drawn back to those "dazzling moonlit nights", how he constantly tries to grasp for good moments within their time together (the only ones he can find being the full moon meetings) and so he relates Blitzø and the full moon "rendez-vous" directly as a way of coping with their less than ideal experiences outside of that structured and guaranteed time spent alone tgt.
Secondly, it could be a way of showing how Blitzø acts/how stolas views him. As per astrology, the moon is romance, pleasant nights (tying back to my previous points), intense moments, loneliness and mood swings. The last three are a pretty accurate depiction of how Blitzø acts around Stolas. He's hot-headed, closed-off and Stolitz is very much prone to intense moments on both sides, so it's possible Stolas made that connection, believing that holding the moon is the closest he can currently get to holding Blitzø.
Finally, the last image (above) shows Blitzø with his head buried in his legs trapped inside the "dark side of the moon". This could symbolise how Stolas sees this dark and isolated version of Blitzø but also sees the potential for him to open up, be romantic and love Stolas.
the apology tour switch up
In Stolas' apology tour emotional ballad, the two frames above appear (i'm guessing bc the outfit is literally the exactly same as him singing onstage wth Verosika + Tex, the cute ass choker and all). Now there is a change in the background between the moon and the sun, which is a huge switch-up from "Just Look My Way". The significance of which is also very multifaceted.
Stolas could be expressing how he wants more from Blitzø, finally expressing his feelings instead of constantly worrying about how Blitzø will feel. This is probably bc Stolas fears the relationship is over while this open communication and validation that Stolas wants more than just sex is exactly what Blitzø wanted from the start. Additionally, the second frame coul be referencing how in "Just Look My Way", Stolas says "i don't care that your of lower station" and that he wants to be seen with him and be loved by him everywhere. He's tired of keeping it a secret but also has a lot of things to lose if he does.
Secondly, the sun, in astrology, is seen to represent one's sense of self and individuality. This could hint to Stolas having his whole awakening and a whole new idea of who he is because Blitzø came into his life. Because of Blitzø, he's found out so many more things about himself and is capable of doing what is doing (divorcing Stella, giving up Blitzø, the one slightly good thing he's ever had) all because Blitzø showed him how to be free ("showed me this world was bigger than us, then sent me back where i came from'" -Down Bad" by Taylor Swift).
Finally, the switch-up from moon to sun from Blitzø's pov could be a way of showing how his feelings for stolas have changed. This song is the obvious turning point of the Stolitz ship, where Blitzø isn't in denial anymore and knows he's in love with Stolas. As discussed before, the sun represents self-image and in some cases self-esteem. Considering confession of any kind of emotions are not Blitzø strong suit and don't have a huge effect on him (don't evoke much a huge outward response from him). This revelation hitting him so fast would be a huge self-awakening for him as he has not let himself love anyone for a long time.
In conclusion, Stolitz is sun x moon and nobody can convince me otherwise.

recently rewatched alllll of helluva and took screenshots whenever i felt blitzø looked JUST LOVELY. so here they areeee:

At first I had a hard time understanding why Stolas is so attracted to Blitzø until I saw this scene for the first time :
Like, hot damn. That voice tho. It also made me understand the appeal of the daddy kink, which I didn't think was ever possible. Then there's that scene in The Circus where they reunite at the Not Divorced Yet party and Blitzø seduces Stolas with all that rizz and talking in a low, sexy sounding voice and whispering. And like :
This man can look legitimately attractive as long as the animation and art style will allow him to be. It's just that most of the time, it sadly doesn't. Though keep in mind this isn't even all the screenshots where Blitzø looks good.
Exes and Oohs made me understand Stolas even more, cuz goddamn, Blitzø rocks that jacket better than Chaz does. Let's not forget all the official merchandise where Blitzø is barely covered up in seductive poses with bedroom eyes, yet the writers of this show are trying to make me think that this man is ugly because Moxxie says so?
Looks aside tho, Blitzø got that "no fucks given" attitude and that confidence which is attractive on it's own. This man has more rizz than most Hollywood actors, and if Stolas' lewd comments are anything to go by he's got a really big dong and is great at sex too. So, even if Blitzø doesn't LOOK conventionally "hot" by most people's standards, his bad boy aura, sexual energy and sheer, unadulterated badassery cancels that out makes him still hot regardless of what he looks like.

i hate ppl that say stolas/verosika were completely correct in doing wtvr they were doing but blitzø was the bad guy. just bc blitzø problems are more overt/more explored (bc he's the main fucking character maybe?) as well as the fact that most of his backstory leaves much to interpretation doesn't make it ok to mischaracterise him as this intentionally horrible person when it's literally explicitly stated in SEASON ONE of the show that he pushes away intimacy but also craves it + he is afraid of dying alone.

I SWEAR TO GOD. LIKE OMG THE FANDOM NEEDS TO LEARH HOW TO COMPLEX RELATIONSHIPS THAT AREN'T BLACK AND WHITE
It honestly disturbs me to see how many people unironically say that Verosika Mayday did nothing wrong.
Have y'all forgotten everything she did in Spring Broken? She steals Blitzø's parking space for shits and giggles, sexually assaults Moxxie just because he works for Blitzø, summons a giant sea monster on Earth with no regards to how it would've eaten any human it saw, among other things. The fact that she won't get over what Blitzø did to her years ago is also worth noting, as it's not exactly healthy to not let go of something that happened years ago. She had no problem joining Ozzie and Fizz on publicly humiliating Blitzø either, because she STILL won't let him forget about him stealing her car and her money.
Brandon Rogers said that Verosika wasn't exactly a flawless girlfriend to Blitzø either back when they dated, that they were both at fault for their relationship failing, and that they both need to apologize to each other. I'm tired of people acting like it's impossible for both sides of a toxic relationship to be in the wrong and instead victimizing one side while villifying the other.

want to talk about this a little because what is so sad about this part (and what I think the point of this song) is to show stolas panicking and all anxious which, for me, built a feeling of extreme dread with regard to Blitzø because HE DOES NOT KNOW. he doesn't know and he will not be given time to process or understand how he feels about the situation (bc of his denial abt loving stolas). So the contrasting singing of stolas and blitzø helps highlight just how blissfully unaware of what is about to go down blitzø is.
another thing i wanted to mention was how blitzø singing about "the sexy stuff" is because his expectations of more in episodes like "Truth Seekers", "Ozzie's" (expectations and feelings he didn't realise were towards stolas but were still there) and "Queen Bee" have fizzled out with time and he feels that he has to be optimistic, to prevent himself from slipping back into another depressive episode, as well as accustomed with the deal, for fear of losing stolas entirely if he tries to cut it off. In Blitzø's mind, he never had the control, power or resources to even think about ending the contract. the fact that stolas has the choice to and is breaking the deal off infuriates him just as much as it makes him sad.

ok maybe i’m sounding biased cuz blitz IS my favorite HB character but from the trailer alone i’m SOOO glad we’re delving more into his actions. like, i’ve been waiting for them to focus more on blitz/how he feels and not JUST about the whole stolitz situation. i want to know more about his life !! because we’ve spent so many episodes delving into stolas’ story while blitz’s backstory has been. largely hinted at. beyond his episode with fizz. it seems like we’re going more into blitz’s pov ?? and ALSO. i think making verosika a more prominent character in this season is a real good choice, not only cuz i like her (i’m gay) but also because. blitz does need to hear from the people who he’s hurt. he does need to be harped on for the shitty things he’s done cuz it’s the only way he’ll start Growing As a Person: realizing that his actions and the way he’s constantly pushing people away does have consequences !! i’m just excited for his character growth because dude i’ve been waiting for a Long time. we’re gonna drag you kicking and screaming into personal growth and healing mr buckzo

ALRIGHT LET'S FUCKING TALK ABOUT THIS EPISODE
what i think happens
Blitzø and Millie get recruited for a job in the human world, investigating paranormal activities and its pays a shit ton of money. They arrive at the venue (which is a undercover D.H.O.R.K facility probably a hotel) and meet an off-putting receptionist. Now there are theories that this is Leviathan but i personally feel it is a right-hand man or devout believer in Leviathan's rule over the Envy ring. I feel that this receptionist is a hellborn demon, undercover as a D.H.O.R.K employe (a position that allows him to remain covert and not ever be suspected).
So the receptionist lets them do their thing slowly luring them with short hallucinations (mostly auditory) of their deepest fears (eg: Millie's guilt over not having time for her family or Blitzø's seeing Fizzarolli in the hospital). These small moments set the tone for when Blitzø and Millie get seperated. Millie get lured away with the voice of Moxxie in trouble and Blitzø with Stolas' voice (hallucinated Stolas is likely angry at him). The receptionist exposes Blitzø with the chemical that causes the acid trip (which he knows is efficient because of Agent 1&2). The receptionists attempts to pick off Millie by shapeshifting into Blitzø and get her to hurt her friends and people she loves.
Blitzø
Stolas' voice lures him in and away from Millie and suddenly he's in his van or car or wtvr outside Stolas' house and the scenes of him being angry at him and sarcastic from the trailer ensue. The reason I think this is because the clip of Stolas smiling sarcastically (above) is JUST before the full montage of everyone he's hurt in the past, so I think this whole "stolas is pissed" (makes sense since the last ep literally had Stolas singing on a stage that had 'Blitzø Sucks' on it) plays out until he says the infamous, soul-ruining line; "do you feel any remorse for what you do" . Let me explain my reasoning for this segment a bit. As of the event of the music video 'Look My Way', Stolas understand why Blitzø is closed off and he has these (literal) walls around him that prevent him from opening up ("the walls you conjured up to live, is this what you feel? scorned by a realm that cannot comprehend, what you are.")
So saying this NOT EVEN ON THE NIGHT OF THE FULL MOON where emotions are high and you can get caught in the heat of the moment (which would make more sense) would make ZERO character sense for Stolas. It's not that I don't want to see Stolas snap it's just the line honestly just seems like a manifestation of Blitzø's self hatred and not an actual line Stolas would say.
So after the Stolas scene, Blitzø is at the circus fire, then he's at the hospital, then Ozzie's while Verosika is singing. Everything is happening so fast he can't keep up. Then, it all stops at the sight of one person. His mom. Blitzø is his teenage self again, the braces and everything, crying in his mom's arms and her telling him everything will be alright and that he's not a bad person. Just as he is starting to snap out of his acid trip. The receptionist pulls him back in with seemingly real footage of her getting really badly hurt by some version of Blitzø. He's spiralling again, this time with Millie and Moxxie in his hallucinations but not for very long as once Blitzø sees Millie come to break him out, he calms down enough to snap out of it but his emotions are still running high which leads to a real-life breakdown in front of Millie (below).
and that's our acid trip guys. sorry if it's badly written, just needed to get it out of my system.
