Discovering What You Were Created To Do (Part 1) - He Knows Us!

{Psalm 139:9-10 "If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me."}

As we go through the book of Psalms we see a number of things; primarily that David is a poet and a man of transparency. He reflects on his deepest troubles and triumphs by engulfing it into his writings. These are His thoughts, prayers, and reflections towards the Lord so soak it in gracefully.

Personally, I got off track of my daily routine. Die to self by worshipping through the way you live, breathe, think, and speak. I guess one can call it a bit drastic, but this is a part of me becoming Holy as God is Holy.

{Psalm 139:11-12 "I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night--but even in darkness I cannot hide from you."} I was at one of my jobs (thank God for a job(s))...and I began journaling and doing a study on discovering what God calls us to be doing. Identifying what we were created to do is an immense part of the Christin identity. One of the scriptures was Psalm 139 and as I was reading I was able to see that David himself knew that God knew Him personally.

{Psalm 139:13 " You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb."}

I suppose it was a bit of a shock to me because I was forgetting the fact that God has created me, thinks of me, and loves me personally. This is truly an important fact because the truth is as much as we try we cannot hide from God. In our darkest hours and in our most difficult seasons...He is there watching....moving..... And living.

{Psalm 139:5 " You both precede and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head."}

He at times leave us to our sinning to reveal our hearts and guide us back to the path of everlasting life. The question is... are you brave enough to face the skeletons He'll reveal? For a long time I wasn't because I knew it would mean more responsibility, however it's time to reject passivity and move forward courageously. I encourage you all to do the same.

{Psalm 139:23-24 " Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life."}

Had a chance to talk with one of my good friends and the basic lesson of the day is to remain faithful in EVERY season. Don't let your circumstances change how you view the glorious mercy, love, and grave of God. He deserves our best... Especially our trust in Him and faith in His promises. ... Breathe... Take a walk with me brothers and sisters... Let's take this one day at a time ! Love God and be blessed!

He wants a woman whose words drip with the honey of the name of Jesus.
