This is as a follow-up after the last art post.
Onyx is terrified and in disbelief because they thought Slash was dead. Onyx will need a few hours of cuddle time to get used to the idea that Slash won't disappear if they let him go.

Onyx, you are alive now, you are no longer Ink's weapon. This is why Ink found himself a new weapon, he never wished you harm. Ink thought that being alive and independent would be better for you than just being his weapon.

I think that even though you don't like being called Broomie, that the name is a great way to think about all the great memories you shared with ink! The bad ones too, yes, but you can learn based off of them and y'know, grow stronger!
You are in control of yourself Onyx. Everything you say everything you do is all on your accord. Sure, you WORK for Nightmare, but he doesn't OWN you.

For me it's hard to draw a happy person without looking soulless.
(I really should improve my style. My style doesn't match Slash, he looks soulless when he's happy…. Ink is ok, because he's soulless, but… other unique eyed characters like Slash are hard to make look happy and not soulless…)

Onyx, to be honest, it makes me a bit sad that you still consider yourself as a weapon. You're a living being now ! You got a soul, a body, a personality, you're not a simple object anymore !
No any conscious being should be considered as a weapon.
Give yourself a chance to consider yourself as a full conscious being.
Ask yourself: What are your dreams ? Your hopes? Your goals? And do everything to achieve them, while taking into account the opinions of those who matter to you.
The goal of a life is to enjoy it.
