This is painfully accurate, for both myself & many of my small business friends. I'm glad I know *how* to do everything, but I'd be far more productive if all I had to focus on was creating...

On the plus side, I get to see Loki & R on Saturday at the event.

I've been told (by R) I'll get smooches as a prelude to next weekend, when he's down visiting me for a few days. 🥰

I've been having a rough time with time blindness & executive dysfunction this week.

Anyone have suggestions/thoughts/advice on maintaining a schedule without many external influences?

You should go read my pal Adam’s newest book, I Wish to Say Lovely Things. Adam’s writing is so real and beautiful and heartbreaking, and this book is no exception. I started crying (in the best possible way) by page three.

I got one of the electroforming baths up and running over the weekend (and plated an entire piece).

I started off my adventures at I Want Seconds, a plus-size thrift shop at 32nd & Hawthorne. I may have been coveting these Bowie earrings for a while... 😏

Then I went to the Gold Door, which has been a favorite for years. Once I saw the price on this guy (aka that they were affordable), it was all over.

They may end up next to Frida on the wall. Frida was my big gift from my mom the other day.

I accidentally "tripped" and found myself in Powell's. At least I didn't buy any books?! I've also had my eye on this mug for ages. (No, I don't need more mugs, but ask me if I give a shit. 🙃)

And finally, I ended my wander at Fat Straw with a mango & passion fruit bubbles tea, a tuna banh mi, and some reading time. 💜

It was a good day. 🥰

If you ever need a quick & easy vegan meal to make, this is now my go-to for feeding Cute Girlfriend when I have nothing planned. (Though it helps to have a pantry stocked with some Asian food basics - sesame seeds, soy sauce, sesame oil, etc.)

My personal updates to the recipe are:

double the amount of sauce you make

simmer the tempeh for more like 10 minutes (I want to try simmering it in broth)

cook the broccoli (and any other veg you want to add) first, then set aside

once the tempeh is cooked, add the broccoli back in and carefully toss everything with the sauce
