I too am late to the party, in that I watched FMAB once with a friend eight years ago, forgot the plot almost immediately, and then didn't watch it again until like last week (despite reading some FMA fanfic in the interim). Anyway Roy's my favorite and I love him.

Hiiii. Just wanted to say that I was late to the fmab party too. Glad to know that I'm not the only one. I just watched it in 2019. But I think we're lucky that we discovered such a masterpiece and doesn't matter that it was late.

Better late than never, right? And besides, its a timeless gem so it doesnt matter when you did end up watching it

I've been around the community for a couple years, but my dad actually watched parts of '03 when it was airing! so when my brother and I started watching it, he watched it too! its the only anime I've ever gotten him to watch😂😂 but I guess his logic is why watch more when you've already seen the best😂😂😂 anyways welcome to the group!!

My dad got REALLY into it as well! He'd get upset if I didn't come home from the city every weekend, because he wanted to watch an episode a day instead of binging it and basically it became a huge bonding thing 😭 he would make sure to buy popcorn at the grocery too, just for fma viewing purposes. And i feel you re: other anime — my dad won't watch anything other than ATLA and FMAB, and both are at the very tops of their genres. Why watch anything other than the best, after all?

Hello! I'm extremely late to the party as well, started and finished watching FMAB earlier in quarantine and have been obsessed ever since. I'm still consistently blown away by how many people are still creating fan content a decade after the anime finished (although I could do without some of the decade-long discourse). I am of the opinion that artists like Viria are keeping this fandom alive and healthy, and aspire to be one of those such artists myself :)

Apologies for the late reply! Quarantine got me in new fandoms too, but my feed does have a steady supply of FMA content! There are plenty of regularly updating authors and fanfics in the fandom as well (ex. silentwalrus' snipers solve 99% of all problems).
