Not rushing her off the field, but I think I would like Jess McDonald as a commentator, just based on her tweets.

Did Julie Ertz say she was leaving Angle City early because there was no chance of playoffs or was that fan speculation?

Went to the Spirit Courage game today. While the red card seems like the right call, these were the things questioned from the ref. Wonder if they were caught the same way on the broadcast-
1. Courage was offsides when they scored
2. Casey Murphy looked like she stepped in the goal on the first (maybe) corner with the ball .
3.Karolyn knocked the ball away from a spirit player going for a throw in. (Supposed to be a red)
4. Ref immediately stopped Spirit forward momentum for player down and left a Spirit player down for over a minute while Courage was on offense.
5. Overall lots of soft calls for Courage.
6. One of the line refs looked new too cuz she was just putting the most in moving up and down the field but was so slow with the flag.
Tough night for the refs for sure.

I’m seeing 4 teams repped at the pre game party-Thorns, Current, Spirit, and Angel City.

Trinity Rodman hurriedly tried to prep Sanchez’s hair as they walk in the field despite an hour delay. I think Rodman uses the echo location to find Sanchez in the field. But it doesn’t work in reverse tonight. I also wish Rodman was allowed in the box; she’s staying back on so many plays.

Whoever the commentator is on the Louisville/ Ol Reign game spends too much time speculating on these injuries. #NWSL #LOUvsRGN

So I won't pay for premium paramount+to get cbs sports, but I'll drive three hours and pay for tix to a good game.

Sonnett had a sick block on Debinha right on front of me. Trinity's footwork is soooo good. Aubrey spilled this water on herself. Also Brianna Pinto's dad sat behind me and offered commentary the whole game.

Can I ask something? How come people don’t like Carli Lloyd? She seems sweet and funny and hard working and seems to get along with her teammates. I don’t think “cocky” is a fair criticism because compare that to male athletes and no one would think twice
ok so at first I didn't get it either but now it makes sense
yes Carli lloyd is a hard worker, is a great teammate, and is an awesome soccer player I'm not saying she's not HOWEVER she seems to think that she's still playing at the same level she was during the 2015 world cup and unfortunately she's not. not to mention she was a midfielder in that tournament that somehow became a forward . it's as if she refuses to acknowledge that new talent has broken into the group (lindsey horan, sam mewis, rose lavelle, mal pugh, emily sonnett, sophia smith, midge purce, JUST TO NAME A FEW) and that means less playing time for her.
about the cocky part, i think she can be at times. but, you're right, if she was a dude no one would say anything. after the 2019 world cup she said in an interview that, while she was happy they won and happy for her teammates, for her (personally) it was the worst time of her life and career. she hated coming off the bench and thinks she should have been a starting forward. but if you look at her vs alex morgan, christen press, megan rapinoe, or tobin heath i mean i just wouldn't place her as a starter anymore. and with younger players like sophia smith, mal pugh, and midge purce coming in as forwards it's hard to find a spot for her that's not coming off the bench
she also thinks age is just a number, and she's proven a lot of people wrong, but her performance isn't at the same level it used to be and there's NOTHING wrong with that, that's why players retire. not saying she should but she has to accept that the new, younger players are the future of the uswnt and she should take on a more mentoring role as a bench player.
anyway, that's my take on it. hope it helps :)

Link
Black activists on Twitter have been sending this link around today. It’s a long document with anti-racism resources geared toward white people who want to effectively help their Black neighbors in the fight against white supremacy.
Note: I did NOT compile these resources, I am simply sharing them.
