Also, if you can, set your bank account up for Auto-Pay if you decide to live in an apartment for all of your bills, rent, etc. It makes it soooo much easier, and I wish I would’ve done that instead of running around town like a chicken with my head cut-off paying for everything at first before I realized technology is our friend x3
When I was working at a restaurant, I used the envelope method for funneling all of my tip money into each category. Then when my check came, I used the mobile deposit app. Once all of my quotas were filled, I ran to the bank, deposited my tips, then paid either online or by phone for my bills.
So say:
My electricity bill is $62.00 this month. I have $120.00 in cash on hand, I also have $45.00 for Internet. And damn, my gas/petrol is low. I’ll need like $15.00. I also have a fine ass girl I need to feed. And by that, I mean my cat–I also need to eat too! Let’s go to Taco Bell!
$120.00/5=$24.00
Now you have $24.00 for each category! You’ve knocked out some of your electric bill, your internet is more than half-way, your cat has that new bag of food, and you’re chowing down on delicious, delicious, tacos. Yum.
Granted, I’m sure you’ve noticed that there will be funds left over. You get to decide what you want to do with those. Whether you get closer to your quotas, or maybe put them into savings/another category, the choice rests with you!
I’ve only had one finance class my entire school career, and it was boring as hell. We started with filling out tax sheets xO
I wish they would’ve taught us in a fun way how to do things. That’s how I learn when concepts are simple and you can mix-mash it the way you want. Don’t turn me into another factory worker, America. I’m already vomiting up chunks of my stint at community college. Trade school is my rehab.

Yo if you’re planning on living on your own, PLAN THINGS IN ADVANCE!
Remember this golden rule first; there’s 24 hours in the day. So you can have 8 hours to sleep, 8 hours to work, and 8 hours to do everything else. Take some of those free 8 hours, and apply it to planning your food. Cook ahead of time, because cooking while hungry is THE WORST!
Next set aside some time for studies. University degrees are losing their value fast, so getting a high grade is now more important than ever. And it’s hard to study when you have to think about other things, like food, and when sleep is.
With more things planned out, there’ll be less on your mind, so that’s what I’d say to focus on.

Thrift Books, Thug Notes, and Tumblr
Hi everyone! Andrea here!
I spruced up my page and I’m pretty proud of myself. I’ll probably buy a theme down the road and for now, I’m basking in the simplicity of a free one and its cuteness x3
Tumblr isn’t that hard. I thought it was going to be way worse o.O
I also wanted to let all of my fans know about a site called Thrift Books. For any of you that are avid readers like myself, they sell books for pretty cheap--anywhere from $3.00-$5.00 depending on the condition. They also have new books! I’ve recently ordered from there and I’m very happy with my purchase.

And the next caveat to that is Thug Notes. Sparky Sweets, PhD., breaks down literature classics in a witty way that is not only enjoyable, but humorous as well. If you’re having trouble reading through, say, Romeo and Juliet or The Raven, he’s got you covered. He also has a book published as well, and yes, it is now in my collection xD
He is apart of a bigger channel named Wisecrack, which has 8-bit philosophy, and many other brain-tickling avenues.
