I like to ride alone. I can do what I want, regulate my speed, change my way when I want. What I loved during that stage and the following one, is that I took secret roads, no main one but close to the sea. Small ways, fresh and luxury nature to begin the spring.

The first part of the trip brought me to Arromanches. I love that place, there is a magnificent overhang of the bay. The first pictures to dream. Further, it is more plate. Somewhere, I prefer, it reminds me of my paradise. Even if it is more about concret than wild lands. I should have let my bike Kerdane and go to the beach, but I don’t like to let it.

I always loved fishships. It reminds me of a story I wrote when I was young about a guy with that kind of boat as a cover for his mercenaries missions. By the bye, I should continue this comics.

I passed across a swamp, it was fun to roll on the asphalt with canals on each sides, as if I was floating. In fields around, cows were watching me in the high grasses. I wish it had been bigger, roll again an again in softness and solitude. Sea smell, feel it as it was just behind each hedge.

I’d love a lot Utah Beach, natural, wildly. Grasses as a fur on the sand. It is visited a lot behind the dunes because of WWII monuments, but stop here walking across dunes paths on wood plank as to be cool. I didn’t allowed myself to stay there, I was afraid to be late to Cherbourg.

I remember Réville with happines and nostalgy. A calm weekend with a friend, a Harley. Nothing more perfect. Ok my Kerdane will never be as fast. I think that his Harley one is cool. This hostel choice is a good idea. The beach and the place just need to be discovered by a ramble. Il is quiet, it allow to recharge. With a friend, it is better. I didn’t know how to stay zen last summer, that’s why I do my roadtrips on my own, to don’t make others endure my stress. And when I am alone, it is as if the wind were sweeping that stress away, and stays the beauty of landscapes, the sun, and the calm.

I onely hope that I improved myself since, that I’m better than before. I didn’t want to hurt my friend. But I think that to the end, he couldn’t bear me. I didn’t know how to do some things. I wasn’t sure of myself. I needed ime about it. Stand myself. Now I’m better. I miss rodtrips with friends.

I love my bike, really! I wanted to know if I could do a pic of Kerdane every day. It is nice to shoot it with the see behind.

To finish, Laureline gave me an accomodation, an taught me to do the salt butter caramel. It was so good!

Riding time : 12 AM - 19 PM / 176 km Tank : 15 € / 10,7 L

I past my driving licence 27th March 2016, I was a bit afraid to start riding on the road. So I started 10 days after... with a 840 km roadtrip during 5 days. I take risks, but I modulate it. At first, I rode slowly and carrefully. To the end, it was as normal as in a car. And safe as well.

That first day was cool, sunny, I just loved to be alone, with thoses sensations : the sun, the wind, the rape flower smell, the forest humus, sea favour, Ulex’s yellow, violet campanulas, the pale blue sky, evergreen coasts, the sand, the gravity balance. When you find it, you fly.

It was easier than what I was expecting. I was lucky because I created that luck, preparing everything. So I was free from it and I could feel the moment. I felt like I was not watching the landscape, but I was in.

My plans were to pass by Le Havre. I didn’t wake up early enough to do 309 km in a day. So I just past by Honfleur. Time was flying but I prefered to stay slow even if the road was not slippery. I finally arrived to my personnal paradise : Juno Beach. I love that village, I am so calm in there. Let my bike to walk to the beach along the sea...

And go to sleep to start again the day after.

Lugnasad est placé sous le signe zodiacal du Lion qui représente la culmination végétale, la plénitude du fruit, toute magnificence ou maturité sous le plus éclatant soleil de l’année. Durant cette fête, on lançait sur les pentes une roue enflammée qui illustrait la descente vers l’hiver; et qui terminait sa course dans une rivière, unissant ainsi le symbolisme du Feu à celui de l'Eau. Lugnasad signifie l’Assemblée de Lug et ce dernier apparait sous trois aspects : Il est d’abord le dieu solaire qui féconde la nature. Mais à côté de cette apparence lumineuse, il présente aussi un aspect obscur quasi lunaire et parfois redoutable: Il est un dieu chthonien, dieu de la terre et du monde souterrain. Enfin il est le dieu des arts et techniques, dans lesquels il excelle tous à la fois.
