In honor of the release of Top Gun: Maverick, I present to you an AU for these two! Johnny as Iceman and Daniel as Maverick :) I didn’t realize how buff Tom Cruise was until I had to alter it for Daniel LOL

Please lmk what you think their call names would be!! (i.e. Pete Mitchel is Maverick, etc.)

if you've already answered this plz ignore me but was there a particular fish you were basing Johnny off of for the mermay design? I recognize Daniel's as a koi, and Johnny's gives off the vibe of the king cobra pattern but I was just curious if there's actually a fish like that. Either way it's absolutely fantastic!

For Daniel, I actually based it off of his gi and the patch the Mrs. Miyagi embroidered (the white based, the sun and the bonsai tree). It was supposed to be just one orange spot, but then I realized that it resembled a koi and flew with it. The black is a Japanese ink version of the bonsai.

As for Johnny, I loosely based it off of a mixture between a yellow bellied sea snake and a cobra, but mostly used the patterns and shapes from the CK logo. Also his gi :)
