also ive had raputa by sasakure.uk on the brain recently and like . if u watch the mv thats barry cygnus core to me . like spear pillar-distortion world part of the sinnoh arc.
like its an accurate depiction of what his memories of the distortion world look like (blurry messy with no real concrete details just nothing but pain and messiness all around)

bill was always meant to be a . guy who opens pandoras box and lives to regret it sorta character but like . my original idea was for him to be sort of like . a step above arceus. like arceus in the context of the world is actually god but bill even created arceus.
like he ACCIDENTALLY made the pokemon world in the form of a video game in OUR world. and for one reason or another he got isekaid into the world of his own creation.
and then i realized that was actually kind of bad and stupid and kind of too insane . especially because i dont know how well id be able to do the whole "actually its a simulation" thing even if its not quite it.
but also im kind of fond of it because i love the idea of like . people and their relationships with their art and their art becoming its own thing separate of the human.
especially because its less of a computer program and moreso. a living art piece that its creator got to live in.
