Thicker Than - Public Demo Update
Happy full moon everyone! I’ve had a really good month and got a ton of writing done (almost 50k!) which you can read right now for free here:

Side note: I also announced a book deal for a not-interactive novel I wrote back in 2022 this month. Of Monsters and Mainframes is going to be published with Bindary in 2025!
I'm ridiculously excited. I'm also going to be a bit busy next month editing that, so the vampires are going to have to take a bit of a back seat. I hope that's okay.
In regards to Thicker Than, I have finished Chapters Eight, Nine, and have started Chapter Ten. Chapter Ten and Eleven are both much branchier chapters, so may take a little longer to write than Chapters Eight and Nine did.
There’s a few fairly major plot points/twists in this update, and I’m a wee bit terrified to hear your reaction to those.
In Chapter Ten, the romance scenes are mostly unfinished with the exception of Marcel’s (totally finished) and Tracy’s (half finished).
As always, thanks for your passion and enthusiasm (and fanart! It's been so motivating to see so much love for these characters!).

As you guys know, I was meant to publish an early sneak peek for Qiu's lunch scene a long time ago--and it just took a long time to take shape.
I'll be releasing not just Qiu's lunch, but also Shay's lunch, and both will be fully interactive. You will need to do a quick input of your MC's/Qiu/Shay's pronouns though.

prologue done!
finally! <3 today will be spent play testing and by tomorrow or Friday it should hopefully be up for band tier. then I can go back to regular Patreon posts/holiday special + working on the rest. CH1 and CH2 should go by much faster because ive been working on them when I needed breaks from the prologue. CH3 has been outlined. The beta testers haven't all been chosen yet, so that will be announced when they do.
I've taken a lot of suggestions from everyone since the first demo came out, many of which you'll only see after the prologue. but in the prologue I've
expanded and added scenes
expanded choices (more personality choices for variation)(one example: you can now have an MC who is more reliant on drinking from the start aka more choices where MC expresses needing a drink lolol/more of a partier MC and on the other hand, there are more professional, reserved choices)(among others)
fixed prose, added more details, added more conversations
just added a lot more context
and more :)
the biggest would be the scene changes/additions. but yeah. I think this prologue is a lot stronger than it was. I hope it continues that way for the rest until CH3!
Obviously this is still alpha until the beta testers get their hands on it + give feedbacks and suggestions + the rest of the chapters may push me to add more context and additions but I really like it.

Chapter 7 + Ash Hangout Public Update is now live! 🎉
The Chapter 7 and Ash Hangout update is finally here 🔥😁 I'm sorry for the slight delay, I had something urgent to attend to today and I just got home and I just basically went straight to my computer to upload this update.
Finally, we are starting to get into the ROs' first hangout sessions. Of course, to start us off, we'll have Ash's hangout session 😁This update adds around 31K of new words, bringing the total word count so far to around 356,701K words!
Anyway, this update also brings quite a lot of changes in the coding, especially for the skip chapter function, so I'm going to strongly suggest you guys play with clean save, either from the beginning or using the skip chapter function.
I have recently added another skip-chapter checkpoint, which is Chapter 3 in addition to the already existing one on Chapter 6. There is also now an autosave function at the beginning of every chapter starting on Chapter 2, so you'll be able to replay any chapter you're currently reading and try out different options in that chapter.
Anyway, enough of the technicalities.

Happy full moon everyone! I’ve just updated the demo on dashingdon. This month, most of my energy has been on focused on Chapter Seven. In particular, the end scenes. In addition to the previous endings already in the demo, you can now end the chapter with Freya, Erin, or Nathan.
I really hope you like it.
Chapter Seven is a very branchy chapter. The first half splits between the different tributes, and the later half splits to the different romance-able characters. If you’ve only got one playthrough, it may seem like progress has been really slow. I’m really sorry about that, and would like to thank everyone for being so patient while I work through all the different routes. I’m having a lot of fun, but I understand, if you’re not seeing all the different paths, these updates might not be very exciting. I’m hoping to finish this chapter next month with the final three romance-able character scenes (Marcel, Iliya, and Tracy). Then, I’ll be able to start work on Chapter Eight in April.
Thank you everyone for all your support and encouragement these last few months. It's really wonderful hearing how much you're enjoying this silly, wee game of mine. 💙

Chapter 7 + Ash Hangout Early Access is now Live! 🎉
Hey, guys! First of all, I'm so sorry for not being active here for the past month. I've been really sick and spent the latter half of January recovering and on bedrest. And as soon as I felt better, I decided to solely focus all my free time and energy on catching up on lost progress and finishing the update before the end of the month. And I did it! 😁
The update is now up for early access on both Patreon and Ko-Fi. Finally, we are starting to get into the ROs' first hangout sessions.
