Everything is calm and beautiful in the early morning. We follow the breeze through an open window, swirling around sheer curtains, and into a room lit only by sunlight. Will blinks awake, looking healed from the fight with the dragon and the fall, and he’s shirtless, with a blanket coming up to his torso. He turns and we see Hannibal beside him, also undressed, peacefully asleep and looking as vulnerable and disheveled as we’ve ever seen him. His hair is messy, he’s so far from put together, he’s the most human he’s ever seemed. Will brushes Hannibal’s hair out of his face and just holds his cheek for a moment until he wakes up. They don’t say anything. There’s no words for this, and there doesn’t need to be. They kiss. The scene fades away, becomes Hannibal in the kitchen making breakfast. Will comes up behind Hannibal, shirtless but in sweatpants, pressing a kiss to a bruise on Hannibal’s neck. There are faint lines visible on Will’s back, carefully avoiding his scars. It’s like 2AM I’m sorry I went off in ur inbox like this akandjwndjsn

i hate to say it. but hannibal used his wealth to buy interesting things. like how many rich ppl have we seen in media who live in the ugliest, minimalist homes with just the worst taste in interior design and modern art. then you’ve got hannibal lecter who said “i’m gonna buy some animal horns, some original art from françois boucher and théodore géricault, paint the walls black, invest in some old first edition manuscripts, put an herb garden on the wall” like he’s fun rich. i mean i still hope he gets robbed but i call dibs on the deer skull from his living room

There’s a long theme of Will taking on Hannibal’s role. From being accused of his crimes and wearing his famous mask, to merging with and becoming him. 

When Will is speaking with Bedelia they talk about this.

I think Bedelia is referring to Will’s plan of entrapping Hannibal in Season 2. He was trying to be Hannibal to trick him, but even when he “wasn’t himself”, even when he was trying to be Hannibal, he was still himself.

In this context it seems they are saying that not being themselves is the armor against Hannibal that was needed. Bedelia thinks she had that armor but Will didn’t. I think this speaks to the fundamental misunderstanding that Bedelia had of Will. And why she is so surprised in the end that he would actually side with Hannibal. 

Bedelia pretended to be someone else and got herself out of the situation with Hannibal unscathed. She thinks the reason Will did not is because even when he was pretending to be like Hannibal, he never was. Not really. I think that’s why she visited him in the prison to tell him she believed him. She thought he was like her. It’s also why she says that Will was trying to “save’ Hannibal as she herself claims she was trying to do. If not to actually save him, at least to help him with “covert” treatment. 

Instead of thinking that Will was hurt by his experience because he was like Hannibal, she thinks he was hurt because he wasn’t like him and wasn’t as good as she was at pretending. Her statement that she was behind the veil and he wasn’t also speaks to this total misunderstanding. Why did Bedelia think Will was more “innocent” than she was? The only thing I can think to attribute it to is Will’s person suit fooled her when Hannibal’s did not. She didn’t spend as much time with him but I think it says a lot. Even when Will is saying she deserves to be eaten, she still doesn’t think he will be the one to do it.

I love the concept of Hannibal during zombie apocalypse because like for every other serial killer it would be a dream come true but for Hannibal? It would be a living hell. So much wasted meat, unbearable odour, no opera, no fancy dinner parties, no spotless kitchens, no kitchens really, no three piece suits, not even clean clothes, a total anarchy where the rules are made by bruts with the biggest guns and on top of that if Will started killing in this scenario it wouldn't even really count since, allthough walking, everyone is pretty much already dead
