A crowdfunding appeal has been launched to help a 29-year-old Black trans woman who lost both her legs after allegedly being thrown onto NYC subway tracks by her boyfriend.
A statement from the New York City District Attorney confirms that the victim and her boyfriend were at the Fulton St. station in Brooklyn when the man is said to have seen the oncoming downtown train coming and “thrown” his girlfriend towards the tracks.
“The victim was rushed to the hospital, where both of her legs had to be amputated. She also suffered from fractures to her ribs and a blood clot in her lungs,” the statement continues.
When the police arrived, they found the woman under the train, reports Into.
The woman has since taken part in an interview with trans activist Hope Giselle, and explains that she was on her way to a gender-affirming appointment when she alleges that she and her boyfriend got into an argument and he “threw” her onto the tracks.

Hi, my new stupid idiot son who just legally became mine as of Wednesday has gone and got himself a dental abscess as of last night and I need to get him to a vet who does dental work asap. I have an appointment scheduled for him on monday for an assessment of the abscess (dental xrays to see how many teeth it is impacting and how far it goes to determine how many teeth need to be removed). He managed to do this before I could enroll him in pet insurance, and even if his enrollment is completed today this will not be covered as it will be determined to be a pre-existing condition.
Dental xrays from all the places I've called this morning require the cat to be under local anesthetic and sometimes full general anesthesia depending on how many films are needed and the cats behavior (buddy is a good boy so I'm hoping its local anesthetic only).
The most affordable vet we've found near us that will do dental work will require a $600 dollar upfront fee for the assessment and films. This is not including the affected teeth being pulled which will have to be done at a later time under full anesthesia. It will be ~$200 per tooth plus cost of anesthesia. By then I should be paid and should be able to cover his teeth being pulled (hopefully).
I do not get paid until the end of next week, and I am asking for assistance from anyone who is able to if possible for his exam and dental x-rays.

i know it is hard to tell his face is swollen because he's a black cat but i mean, his face is noticeably swollen in person and and impacting how much is eye can be open and how wide he can open his mouth. Its good I was able to get him to the vet we do see this morning so he could get antibiotics as soon as he did. if you just even gently press on the side that's swollen puss comes out from the top and gets right in his eye my man is so miserable.
The exam he had today alone to determine he needed to see a vet who could do dental work and the specific antibiotics and steroid shots he was given to hold him over until a dental specialist can look at him took me back $180

With Greytooth past her prime, Belette has moved in to become the new matriarch of the region.
Far removed from the cave dwelling beasts, Belette was raised by human hands. After centuries of trying to slay them, mankind now dreams of turning dragons into their own personal lapdogs and flying horses. This has proven to not be a wise thing to try to do, and now Belette no longer lives with humans.
Don’t be fooled by those big goopy eyes and soft silky coat, she is a complete menace . While most dragons put their attention on keeping a lair, Belette is singularly focused on holding dominance over everyone and everything through whatever means possible.
She really really hates Chuck.

Ngl it really suck that this has to be my first post back on tumblr after a long while gone. But I'm currently in extreme need of help and I don't know anywhere else where I could plead.
Extremely long story short: my family and I still live in Venezuela and we're in a critical economic condition; We own 2 months of rent basic services like water and electricity and If we don't play next week they'll be cutted completely, we're having issues getting food, hygiene products, my bipolar and anxiety medicine and the general basic market cest, and where 3 months behind the mensuality of my brother's psychiatric internation. Both me and my parents barely do the minimun wage and I don't know how much longer we can keep going without a change.
(Note: these are Bolivares, not USD, meaning that my actual account balance is around $0.012? Yeah shits fucked)

Someone in the DnD group I recently joined started a second, unrelated game with a higher starting level, this time I made a rock gnome arcane trickster rogue / illusion wizard named Eldricia. They are a dungeon designer looking for inspiration (I kind of imagined them as the DnD equivalent of people who make “haunts”, meaning haunted houses).
I spent more time/effort on this than the Arkosa drawing, but that’s only because it felt more “okay” for the Arkosa drawing to be sloppy, if that makes sense.
