During the Nakba war about 250 Palestinian villages faced the fate of being demolished (some to the point of not existing on the map anymore) and their residents were forcibly displaced.

Today in Gaza, the numbers of the martyred and the injured are increasing every single day and yet the whole wide world is watching from afar, as if the Palestinian life is cheap or not worthy of speaking out for…

Don’t repeat the mistake made in 1948, because the damage done by the Nakba will never be forgotten and Palestine will never recover from it, but today it’s 2024 and you have a voice and you can use it to change something, and you have the ability to make your governments not repeat that same mistake once again 76 years later.

And as many have pointed out, Israel had always intensified its bombing campaigns on Gaza around days like thanksgiving, Christmas and now the Super Bowl. The last time I said this around Black Friday people lost their minds thinking Palestinians want to make everything about themselves. The truth is, no other country emboldens Israel in its actions more than the United States. If you look at a map of Gaza you’ll see that Rafah is the furthest you can go. There’s NO WHERE ELSE TO EVACUATE!! The Palestinians only have two options, flee to Egypt or die from air strikes. The idf did this on purpose. They plan to either kill all Palestinians or drive all of them to Egypt. ALL EYES ON RAFAH!! ALL EYES ON GAZA!!

let me reiterate. an active duty air force member burned himself alive because he was so disgusted by what the us government was openly supporting. he live-streamed his own suicide, so the whole world could bear witness as a man in his military uniform set himself on fire to protest his government’s complicity in the horrors that we have all been forced to watch happen in real time. he became a new horror. footage of the immolation blurs him out the moment the fire catches, but you can hear him. it is over in seconds, really, but you can hear him screaming. he shouts “free palestine” until his body physically cannot make any sounds other than guttural screams of agony. and then he falls silent. a police officer arrives and points a gun at his still burning body, shouting at him to get down on the ground. and it is over.
