After a recent Ki.Se.Ki. meeting, this mission statement was formed. This was formed for us as a team and for you as our followers and community.
Our mission is to not only share our work, but our creative process, as well. To not only show you the behind-the-scenes, but invite you along. To connect with you and to connect you with others. Because we are a community and we will not close the shutters on one another.

UPDATE: Where have we gone?
Okay, so, here's the DL with Ki.Se.Ki.
Yes, we are still around, however, there have been some changes in the meantime.
Emily(posts on here sometimes as Aurélie, also l-art-est-partout) and I have decided that The Ki.Se.Ki. company was sort of this limbo of us not really sure what we wanted to do with it. We also talked about how she really wants to focus on her projects and life and I really want to focus on film production and blogging.
So, with that said, I(Felicity) will be taking over Ki.Se.Ki. for the moment(MUHAHAHAHA!)
So what will Ki.Se.Ki. be?
1. For now Ki.Se.Ki. will be Ki.Se.Ki. Productions
2. This blog will be dedicated to production, generally film, but some other artistic productions as well.
3. For now, I, Felicity, am the sole contributor of this blog, but I will be looking to expand as time goes on.
4. Eventually(READ: very far in the future), this will be back up to doing all sorts of different art forms.
5. Tumblr is a temporary space until I have designed a website(I will let y'all know when it moves), this could be over the summer, this could be in four years.
Thank you all for everything and I hope that we have your continued support and we will continued to support you and your writing! Thanks for a wonderful six months!

"Yours, Anonymous"
A film by Jacob Boyer. A Three Comrades' Production.
He is releasing the film in parts, so, we, too, will promote it in that way. :))
In association with us over here at Ki.Se.Ki.!! :D
I(Felicity) am actually the lead actress in this, and it was a long process to work through, but very rewarding. Jacob has done a wonderful job.

Kiseki Mondays!
Hey guys! Sorry we missed last week, it’s still pretty crazy for us. Anyway, remember to have fun and tag your responses as #kisekimondays!
So, since fall just started, let’s do something along with that. Fall is a season of change, so write a poem or short story focused on change. Try to use as much imagery as possible, since fall is a very visually appealing time.
Have fun!

Happy National Coffee Day!
As artists, coffee is an important part of our daily routine, and today is a day to celebrate the thing that gives us the strength to keep going! (Okay, maybe you aren't as addicted as me, but it's still really good) Here are some artist's quotes about coffee to celebrate- He was my cream, and I was his coffee - And when you poured us together, it was something. ~Josephine Baker Decaf is like masturbating with an oven mitt! ~Robin Williams The coffee was so strong it snarled as it lurched out of the pot. ~Betty MacDonald Only Irish coffee provides in a single glass all four essential food groups: alcohol, caffeine, sugar, and fat. ~Alex Levine Good communication is just as stimulating as black coffee, and just as hard to sleep after. ~Anne Morrow Lindbergh Behind every successful woman is a substantial amount of coffee. ~Stephanie Piro I believe humans get a lot done, not because we're smart, but because we have thumbs so we can make coffee. ~Flash Rosenberg Enjoy your cup today! :) -Emily

So I (as in Emily/Aurelie) haven't been posting much recently, so since there isn't much in the way of visual art on here yet, I thought I'd show y'all  some of what I've been doing recently! :)
Sorry for the bad quality, but the first is a 1hr oil painting of a cast, and the second is about 3hrs of melted wax
I'm trying to be more expressive with my work, which is fun! I promise I'll be back to posting more Kiseki stuff soon! :)

Footsteps Of Pilgrims
I’ve been world-walking these miles and millennia
To where the tea-stained map of
Your abject face spoke a gallant wind
That pulled the hairs from my neck
In a bitter flight of touted discard.
You had pointed your ribbed finger
With too many knuckles, that had pulled
Pages from too many chapters of fiction,
Towards the close of a rainbow
And told me, when home, to describe what I had held.
My pack collected footsteps of pilgrims
As, when the straps took skin from my shoulders,
I dragged it behind on the wearisome way
Across continents that no one had named
With peak-driven lines without scope.
But the close I preferred stole away
Every clockwork night with my hope
And every day I would wake to a heavier pack and
To find myself further and closer to home,
My square one I never gave up,
Until I realised that the close was the end
Of the rainbow and a gifted purpose,
And if I achieved what I hoped to have done
I would have returned to the tea-stained
Map of a face and described how the colours were dull
But that the hope he had stowed at the base of my pack
Weighed down on my legs and urged them to act.
And I carried myself with enlightened belief
That, even if false, hope is greater than grief.

This week we're featuring the poet/writer known as R.A. Bishop. She started her blog in April of 2014 when a friend suggested that she post her writing on tumblr where, in less than a month, she developed her own little community! She has always been into writing, because for her "it was pure escapism that filled an ache [she] couldn't place at a young age." As for her poetry, that came into wonderful fruition when she started her blog. She says "The poems I write are just little bursts of writing energy that scratch at my ego until I get them out. I like to think of poetry as flexing and stretching for the longer writing haul." Currently, she does freelance writing and blogging and aims to finish the first draft of her book by the end of the Winter!

Q&A with besottedwanderlust
What do you do when you "run out of ideas"?
When I run out of ideas I do a few things: Read is number one. Usually a phrase from a short story or book sparks an idea. Sometimes I'll watch a show and again, it's like stumbling on a prompt. All it takes is seeing or hearing a few words. If that doesn't work, I'll get outside and into nature (or as close as I can get). Fresh air and fun can do wonders for your psyche!
Favorite authors? Why?
John Irving has a wonderful way of writing about a life, usually based off his own experiences, and turn it in such a way, you wish you lived that life. Or part of it. His characters are relatable and full of energy, so three dimensional, you laugh, cry, and feel all the feels.
I'm also a huge F. Scott Fitzgerald fan. The flowery language, the romantic disillusionment, how highly he thought of himself, it just speaks to my poetic soul. (Same for Zelda Fitzgerald)
I'm such a lover of books though, I feel bad just picking the two. I've rarely met a bad book. And even those authors deserve to be raved on, they wrote and published a story and somewhere, it's at least one persons favorite!
How would you describe your poetry/writing? What genre or who influenced it?
My poetry, I guess would be forlorn. It's easy to write for the broken hearted, it's something a lot of people can relate to.
My writing, my stories, vary. Between all types of fiction. Somewhere I write between Asimov-ish (and I stress that 'ish') and Irving-esque. I write for myself and I write what I want to read. I'm a hodge podge writer.
Where do you see yourself in the future?
I see myself on book tours and at a table at ComicCon! That's my main goal. I see myself writing in a custom office, in a home full of life. I see myself happy and comfortable.
What advice do you have to your fellow poets/writers?
My advice is to write for yourself and nobody else. If you aren't pleasing yourself, then an audience, your readers, will know. And if you don't feel like writing, don't stress yourself into it. Once you turn writing into a stressful chore, it'll lose the charm and appeal, you'll grow resentful. So write when the mood strikes and keep going until it doesn't. Jot down a fragment, push out a dirty limerick,  or pen the next great American novel, but do it for you on your schedule. That's how magic happens.

FEATURED WORK!
SUNSETS & KATYDIDS
The grass is sharp, dry, frail from a storm-less summer heat I’ve laid in it for an hour, waiting Bugs gliding over flesh, their own personal rink The call of the setting sun, first pale orange, has filled the sky Breath held, deep and burning, while wishing for childish whims Rosy peach swirls into stark pink Ghostly bodies threaten to pop through but the canvas is not complete Indigo sighs into being Pushed back by a velvet blue I am blind The darkest moment descends Panic rises against an aching ribcage; exhale Crickets play their fluid clicks in a tune of congratulations One-by-one, then all at once, the stars appear Synching to the thumping of my heart Magic fills the universe, I dare not move Fireflies lazily dance in silence above my mossy frame Katydids harsh calls trumpet and I join in Kay-tee-did Kay-tee-did-did Kay-tee-did-did Will I lay here long enough, I’m ready to return
