"yes"
he looks at you with a puppy dog look.
"what are you about to do?" you say
"nothing, I just want to look at you."
you then say "babe, you look like a damn lost puppy, somethings up, tell me please"
he chuckles a bit, "nah, I'll let you guess"
"guess what?" you ask
"you're cute"
"I know" you say " but what are you getting at"
he leans forward, gently grabs the sides of your chin and kisses you oh so passionately.
you melt into the embrace.
after he let's go, you say "whyd you stop?"
"so I can start the car" he says
you get extremely confused "huh?"
"I'm taking you somewhere. " he says
oh god hes gonna kill me, you think
as you guys are driving, an interesting song comes over the playlist. it is a song called ''antique " by the ghost club.
josh kept glancing at you, noticing you were getting into the feel of the music.
"we are perfectly compatible" he said
"well duh" you reply
"I love how your soul is all the way into the music" he says
"well I guess that's why we match, mr. banger"
"huh" he blushes, his mind going elsewhere.
"the drums, naughty boy" you laugh
"oh yeah, ha" he laughs back
as you guys pull into where you were headed, you notice a long line of cars, and parking attendants.
"babe, what are we doing at the Coliseum " you ask, the curiousty striking
"just wait"
as you guys walk in, he has his.phone scanned for online tickets, but keeps it hidden for you.
you begin listening to other people around you, to at least get a clue.
you guys were lead into the a room, the private seating area where it was just you two.
"babe?"
"yes" you look at him "who are we seeing?"
"I know you have wanted to see (your favorite band), and they're playing here tonight so, surprise!"
the excitement overtakes.

Tour town chick fil a (joshler smut fic)
Trigger warning : smut, public sex, kinky I guess.
as the boys were on tour, the stress was getting to them..
they had 2 days off, and they decided to go to the local chick fil in a random city.
there weren't many people in this chick fil a as there were 20 minutes left of the store being opening..
this chick fil a had a different design than other chick fil a's, as where they sitting was around the corner from the front registers, even though the store was basically a straight line.
There was a counter where on one side there was condiments and what not and on the other side was a lower sitting table.
Tyler noticed Josh got a mischievous look on his face.
"Josh what is on your mind?" he asks
josh said "hold on"
Josh then pushes his chair out and goes under the table..
"what the.." josh unbuttons Tyler's Jean's and begins to pump him.
"fuck Josh, not here, not now."
josh responds with a "I'll be quick" from there he began to embrace the sudden boner that popped up.
he took all of tyler inside him as he slowly slathered all over his member.
tyler got worried as he heard a worker come close to the area where they are.
"crap" they said to their self "I forgot the key."
they walked away. tyler started thanking a deity above.
he grabbed the edge of the table as he began to erupt like a volcano all into Josh's mouth.
afterwards josh buttoned him back up and sat back in the chair..
tyler just glared at him.

a few days have gone by. everything seemed okay, until you and josh had a horrible fight.
you two had little spats here and there but this one was the worst. You were the first to quit talking for a bit, and you could see it started hurting him.
especially one night when you laid in the bed and he decided to not go in there with you. you guess he heard your sobs and he came in there.
"baby, can we please talk?"
"babe, why didnt you come in here, I felt so alone and I'm so sorry for the way I've been treating you." you say

TRIGGER WARNING: SEPARATION ANXIETY AND FEELINGS OF BEING WEAK ARE SLOWLY BEING INTRODUCED
a couple days have went by, you notice josh had a bit of a scared jump to him..
you were afraid he was about to lock himself away again..
Josh had a few meetings to go to regarding some promotions, so jenna had invited you over to her house so you both wouldn't be lonely.
"oh (Y/N), you need to calm down, I dont want pink on my nails, I wanna do yellow this time"
"jenna, I'm not much for painting nails anyway, are you sure?"
she laughed "uh duh"
you guys had a great day laughing and cutting up, you knew it was time to go as tyler had walked in the door. your phone buzzed, it was josh
babe: hey I'm home, honey.
me: :)
you bid your friends goodbye but tyler had stopped you on your way out.
"hey"

" I think I should let you know, josh isnt doing to well, so keep an eye on him and kinda boost him up a bit."

as you pulled in the long driveway and parked at your house. your mind began to wander.

as you enter the house, you notice it is dead quiet.
you begin to look for josh .. you look everywhere and could not find him. you decided to go out on a limb and call him.
you turned on facetime as you begin to call. much to your surprise he answered.
when he answered he was looking at the floor, just sitting.
"hey josh." you said calmly.
he gave you a weak wave.
"where are you babe?"
"under the staircase." he replies.
your house has two stories, the 2nd story is just the attic but the staircase is strange. underneath the stairs is a closet. he went in there to shut out the world.
"can I come to you?"
he sat for a minute and looked straight at you.

as you approached the door below the back of the staircase you knock and slowly open the door, he had the light on and he was just sitting there, staring at the wall.
you sit next to him.

he reaches and hugs your neck and just sobs.

after he calms down you ask why he apologizing.
he says "because, I feel weak today"

"good morning" you heard that wonderful voice wake you up.
your vacation had started, you had worked long enough to take an entire month paid off at work. (unrealistic I know, but I guess since its management it can happen somehow, anyways back to the story)
you smelled an entire breakfast prepared, you sit up and attempt to get out the bed, when josh looks at you and says "no, you're staying right here."
"josh, really..." you laugh
"yes, I wanna serve you breakfast in bed on your first day off, we are gonna have an US day"
good god, you thought. hes gonna spoil you all day and you won't want him too.
tomorrow, you promised to yourself you would spoil him.
he brings you the plate with sausage, bacon, eggs and pancakes.
"jeez, josh, you went all out huh?" you gushed.
after you guys had finished eating, you were getting up to take your dish to the sink when he grabs it from you and says "no sir, I'll take care of It."
you just glare
you loved him so much.
when he came back you took his glasses off of his face and looked at him.

josh began to slowly raise his voice.

the man grumbled under his breath and stormed off..
you leaned into Josh and thanked him bit then felt a tear fall down your cheek.
"babe, we are leaving, I know that was fucked up. I know we have dealt with homophobes before, but never one like that. " he said
you agreed and you both walked back to his car.
he turned on the playlist to calm the both of you down, you begin to think to yourself.
' even though you dealt with a nasty homophobe today, you still could see the brightness of the day unlike other days'

your later back at the house, josh is giving you a shoulder rub. he insisted because he felt you were stressed and had tightness in you back.
so you let him.. the man sure knew how to give a good back massage. you guys decide afterwards to turn on Netflix and order pizza.
" what should we watch" he says
" I dunno, dun. " you laugh
he looks at you with a smirk.
you lean in to give him a kiss as he slowly moves his head back...
''jooossshhh'' you whine...

"issues do NOT define who you are, babe" josh continues.. "we manage to get through all issues no matter what, my sleep paralysis issues are hell, but I dont let it define me"
you don't say anything at first.
"what's your name?" he asks
confused you say "(Y/N)"
"that's right, it's not depression, or anxiety, your name is (Y/N) and I love you, you are a handsome man, and you have proven to be strong"

"yes" he says
"can we just ride around and listen to music.?"
" sure"
"it is a bit chilly outside, so you guys grab light jackets and begin to head to the car.
"I'll drive" josh said " I just want you to relax for the time being"
you loved the man so much.
as you guys were going down the long driveway, the bluetooth in the car finally picked up spotify and began playing your playlist that you just so happend to name "car radio"
Josh laughs at you because you always have to refer to the band in some type of way.
the first song to play is a song called "body" by julia michaels.
the song basically talks about body issues.
after the song ends josh uses to steering wheel buttons to pause the playlist and gets curious.
"baby you do know you're perfect In my eyes, right?" he asks
you didnt know how to respond, you knew he loved you, but you personally didnt love yourself.

he replies "its not just your body I love, it's you, your soul is what I'm in love with. always has been, always will be."
he then asks "what will make you feel better right now"
you start thinking. besides him, there was somewhere you wanted to go.
"babe, can we go to bobs'' since you guys missed your date night because of an episode "I feel like we should finally be able to go out."
something about him made you smile again.
he smiled his contagious smile. "sure, you feeling okay?"

WARNING: MENTION OF ANXIETY ATTACK. IT IS HOWEVER, BRIEF.
you did not get to join Josh and the next round of tours, but that was only because work started picking up.
being a now manager of marketing you had to go to office an hour early and leave an hour late. But working 4 days a week wasn't bad in your opinion.
the tour was now fresh over, and Josh mentioned that he wanted to take you out to eat, something you and him haven't done in a while.
as you were standing at the mirror combing your hair, you then felt like your soul had left your body. it wasn't a good feeling, either.
you managed to grab the counter and hold on. You feel like you can't talk or move. you sink into the ground and just sit there.
Josh happened to walk in as this had happened. "(Y/N) , baby what's wrong?" the look of concern hit his face, as he comes towards you. As you are crying he asks "is it okay if I hold onto you" you sob out "yes" very quickly.
Josh just takes you into his arms and holds you there.
as you come out of your attack he asks ""baby is everything okay?"
you reply '' I was okay, but then this damn anxiety hit me like a train. I tried to ignore it but it wouldn't go away. it wont go away".
"babe, do you want to just stay in? I can make you something, I don't think itll be a good idea to go out with you not doing well"
after agreeing to staying, you explained what was going on.
"josh, work has me so damn stressed out. My manager said I could take the next 2 weeks off if needed since I have 2 weeks of vacation, but i was letting it build to where I could take a whole month off. I want to step down, but then again I dont cause I have come so far.. and I feel like I'm failing everyone... "
he cut you off there, and you were glad he did cause he said "babe, you havent failed anyone. your parents are proud of you, all your friends and I am so fucking proud of you. don't ever doubt it"
you managed a legitimate smile at that.
he says "I'll protect you no matter what babe."
you tell him " I have so many issues"
"issues don't define anyone babe" he said "everyone has them, but they can be worked through." he planted a kiss on your forehead.

Fire drill (part 2 of show and tell, melanie martinez and josh dun story)
Trigger warning: more dark spirits, but don't worry it's only brief.
This story is only for fun, I know that Josh and melanie are not a thing.
fire drill
a continuation of show and tell (a melanie martinez story)
josh was concerned now that the room had grown dark.
I was so scared because of the unknown. stuff was happening and I didnt know what to do. My lungs started feeling like they were on fire.
*2 hours after*
after all was said and done I was told by josh "dont think that this is the end, but it will help things subside for a couple years"
"thank you so much josh.. I actually feel so relieved. I'm not even kidding"
the air around me was clear and felt so much cleaner.
"anything for a friend" he smiled at me.
I probably shouldnt have done this but it came pouring out of my mouth like a waterfall.
"would you maybe want to go get dinner later?" I asked
he smiled and blushed. "that would be lovely. but not tonight, your shadow fire drill demon thing wore me out"
we both laughed. "understandable " I said.
''how does this Friday sound?" he asked
I respond with a "I think that would be lovely"
''awesome, then it's a date"
I loved his cheeky smile, and the way he scrunched up his face everytime he smiled. he smiles with such confidence, I wish I had as much as he had..
the day of the date night came.
i was extremely nervous. Josh had just pulled into your driveway. I dont know why I was so nervous, I see the man every day practically.
I hear him knock and i opened up the door a few seconds later.
he looked so handsome in his collared shirt with his khakis.
"hey nerd" you say.
"melanie" he says with a big smile on his face "you look absolutely stunning."
"why thank you kind sir"
we ended going to olive garden. Josh was such a dork even out in public. I couldn't help but laugh at him though, he is so cute.
after our dinner, we were walking back to his car.
"I had a great time" I said.
"I did too" he responded.
he was such a gentleman as he opened up my door for me.
"chivalry is still alive" I say with a smile.

Show and tell (melanie martinez story)
TRIGGER WARNING: MENTIONS OF DARK SPIRITS.
This story is very brief, but there will be 2 parts to this story. Story has melanie Martinez and Josh Dun.
show and tell
hi my name is melanie. I work at a museum in New York City. I really enjoy doing what I do.
I'm a tour guide at this particular museum. Every day I'm just taking people to different artifacts that we have talking about where it originated and what not. our particular artifacts focus stuff that came from parts of the world that are unknown to this world.
well that's beside the point.. theres a cute guy that works with us, he used to go to college with me. his name is Josh and oh my god, how I wish he was mine.
he is surprisingly single, but my intuition tells me he is the type to save it all for the right person. He is a good friend though, he and I sit together on our lunch breaks sometimes.
well, this particular day struck me as the conversation turned spiritual. Now, I'm not much for show and tell, but this man is on a different level. he has pendulum's and sage and all the sort.
"so, what you're telling me is that you are a medium?" I asked
he responds "yes, i don't tell alot of people this though, because, well people suck"
"I feel that" I say
I ask if there were any spirits around me, was being funny, and I guess he sensed that and he said "if you really want to know then you need to be serious about this."
he proceeded to tell me about a woman who was following me, and has been ever since I was a teenager.
the crazy thing is, i at first did not believe him until the mentioning of this girl. I had not told anybody about this creepy girl, but I needed his help now and it was apparent.
"i can take care of her, like get rid of her. Usually, I wouldn't but, this entity is not a friendly one"
*one week later*
we are sitting In my living room as he is chanting a prayer. I am starting to get uneasy, and I feel that the air is changing around me.
'' she is trying to suffocate me" he says.
he brings out sage and a crystal and begins to chant another prayer.

I can be the king of shadow (josh dun x male reader) NOT SMUT
Trigger warning: josh is an intuitive medium who helps out those with spirits in their house, so there will be dark spirits.
You needed some insight. So you booked an appointment with a very popular medium who is very local, there are about 15 minutes away from your house.
You pull up to the big 2 story house, the feeling of uneasiness is still setting in your mind. You dont know what is going to be said but you already expect the worst.
You enter the building and are accompanied with the smell of cinnamon. Hardwood floors and beautiful artwork lining the walls. Handpainted on the walls are kaleidoscopes. A young lady with beautiful brown hair steps out from the corner.
"Hello, do you have an appointment?" She asks in a very polite voice.
" yes, I called up here. (Y/N) is my name.."
She walks up to the desk, a beautiful marble desk that is basically a counter. "Ah, there you are, mr. Dun will be with you In a minute. He is currently finishing up with a client."
"Okay, thank you"
You walk into the living room/lobby area. It was apparent that this place is his house and place of business. Getting inside was easy but you suspect that after hours he has his doors locked so nobody just waltz's in.
Two minutes later, a beautiful lady with long blonde hair walks by the doorway leading into the lobby along with a young man who had messy blue hair.
"Everything is going to be alright mrs. Joseph. Do not worry, as I said you have amazing people looking out for you, and your husband loves you and your baby" the man says
"Thank you so much, I dont know why I was stressing" she replies.
The young man walks into the check out area and I hear him say "debby, you can go ahead and head home, since this is the last customer of the night I can lock up, did he already pay?" He says to the lady
"Yes sir, his name is (Y/N)." She says
"I know'' he laughs..
He walks into the lobby and looks around then looks at me. "Hello there (y/f/n)" he walks over to you and shakes your hand. "Hi" you reply.
In the middle of the reading he stops.. he is looking at you with a concerned look.
"Somebody just said something and I'm trying to figure out what this means"he says
"What is it?" You ask
"I can be the king of shadow " he says.
Confused you ask "what is the king of shadow, the devil?"
"No" he says "it's not the devil but it is something that wants you dead, he said no matter where you go he will follow."
He then also says " I'm not going to let this happen to you"
Just then the lights started dimming and going bright one after the other. You then hear many voices start repeating "shadow" one after the other.
"Shadow, shadow shadow".
He runs to a cabinet and pulls out a bunch of mason jars and places then into a triangle on the table.
He says " trust me, grab my hands now"
You do as he says and he starts chanting in a strange language you dont even know.
You get a bit scared when you hear him say "satan, lucifer" you didnt realize what he was doing, turns out he was running through other names to get specific demons away as they were approaching.
Hours go by, everything slowly calms down. The air has changed.. " is it over?" You ask
''Yes" he says " for now, you may have to come back so I can do weekly prayers to your ancestors for you"
"Uhm..."
He interrupts you and says " I scared one shadow away, but that doesnt mean more will come after you, take my card" he hands you his card. "Come back every Friday and I will help you, no charge. We will get rid of the king of shadow."

Who's the plague doctor? Male reader... dream.
This story will be in first person view and is based off of a dream I had.
I don't remember what happened. All I remember is I was sitting in the break room at work and then everything went dark.
I was then sitting in a dark circular room, I couldn't see anything. I tried to feel around and I felt a body. Not a dead one, but a living one, it only made it worse because, it only made it known that someone was watching me.
A light turned on at the ceiling. That's when I realized, there was more than one. The room illuminated a bright red as I saw what looked like 50 figures standing all around me. They weren't looking at me, until I whimpered.
As they turned around, I noticed they were all wearing plague doctor masks. Bright, red, leather plague doctor masks.
They all just stared at me. They then separated, to reveal what seemed to be the leader of this whole thing, dressed the same but he was the only one with the staff.
He stepped forward and I heard his voice which seemed distorted as he spoke " you only thought you could get away. But you didnt. You see, we have been watching you, trailing you"
I asked "who are you and what do you want?"
He replies " oh, you know who I am, young one. You just don't know it yet."
He gave the staff to one of the other figures and removed his mask, slowly. As he did so I noticed that all the other figures were disappearing.
The mask revealed that to be my best friend, Tyler. "Why are you doing this ty.. I'm your best friend"
He looks at me, "what do you think I'm going to do to you?" He asks.. in his normal, nondistorted voice.
"I dont know, kill me?"
"No, I couldnt do that, I'm going to cure you of the sin you have committed. " he says
"What sin?" I ask
"All of it"
I fell down, out of my chair and then arose out of a bathtub that I don't remember getting into. Tyler then pulls me out of the tub. I looked at his hands and see the bright red dripping down his fingers .
"What did you do?" I ask
"Rescued you, now you may go free, but if you speak of this.. i won't be the one to end you"
Everything goes dark once again. I wake up in my bed and see a plague doctor mask sitting at my bedside table, with a handwritten note next to it. The note read "with love, from your friend, tyler. Remember, don't speak of it, and it wont happen :)"

Trigger warning: not really a trigger warning, just a bunch of mushy stuff lol.
The car ride home was a bit quiet other than the radio playing in the background.
You decide to break the silence and just start up a random conversation. "Oh joshieee" you say
"You only say that when you are trying to be cuter than you already are, (Y/N), babbyy" he replied
"I love youu" you said in a singy songy voice.
"Now you're being extra cute, what's on your mind? What do you want?" He smiled and laughed.
"What makes you think I want something..?" You say to him as you flutter your eyes at him.
"Everytime you want something, you get all.. singy and butterfly-ee" he said
"Is that even a word"
"It is now" he says
You hear the song "one last time " by ariana grande came on the radio. You start jamming and singing loudly.
Josh says "babe, I know you have a beautiful voice, but you sound like a dying donkey right now, actually sing.."
Later on, you guys are sitting on the couch watching Netflix watching a scary film, you did this on purpose to pretend to get scared so you could bury your head into his chest.
He pauses the movie and you ask "uhm.. josh is there a ..?"
He stops you mid sentence, pulls your head off of his chest, and pulls you in for the deepest kiss you ever thought possible.
It was a moment of pure bliss, you think to yourself how could you have gotten so lucky to be with someone who loves you for you.
You pull him back for another kiss, you couldnt get enough of his lips. "I love you Josh"
"You are the best thing that has ever happened to me (Y/N)" he says.
"I will never let you go" he says
Just then, your phone goes off.
It creeped you out because it was a spotify playlist you and your friend made together.. it started playing "one last time" by ariana grande..
You look to Josh and say "isnt that.. like.. your guilty pleasure song"
You both laugh and start back to the movie after turning off your phones.

Please note: the sleep paralysis section of the story is there but not to be mentioned in this story. This story is mentioning josh helping you out of a depressive episode. ...
You didn't want to, but you felt like you had left your body. You stopped replying to his messages, you only did this because you felt you would come off as a smartass or say something mean and hurt his feelings. That is the last thing you wanted to happen.
He comes over to your house, you only know because you first got text messages saying he was coming over to check on you, and second you heard his car pulling into the driveway.
He walks in and sees you sitting on the couch and just sits down next to you. It is only a matter of seconds before he has you In his arms and you breaking down. You apologize for not talking to him, you just felt like your world was ending.
"Y/n, your world isnt ending, it's right here. It's only going to get better" he says.
You look back at him and say "do you know what is on my mind right now since you said that?"
"No" he says "but you can tell me"
You reassure him it isnt anything bad. "It's the one song by panic! At the disco called the end of all things. All I keep thinking about is "lay us down, we're in love"
So he asks "that's a good thing, but what has been going on these past couple days?"
You explain that your head was getting all messed up, and that felt darkness was your only escape.
A couple days go by, and your finally back to where you need to be. You get a text message from some friends. "Hey come over to Bob's diner. We feel it's time for you to get out of your house"
As you head to the diner, you notice some familiar cars. Tyler, josh, debby and jenna. You even noticed your parents vehicles were there. Brendon's car was there, so that meant sarah was there, you loved her dearly.
You walk Into the diner, music is playing, all the familiar faces are walking around, chatting amongst each other. Your mother walks up and greets with a big hug, she let's you know that she is proud of you, of the young man you have become and of all the things you accomplished, as does your father.
Brendon and Sarah walk up to you and begin talking to you, you are a timid at this moment. Sarah notices and tells brendon "hey could you give us a moment?" "Sure babe" he says. You two break away and sit at the high bar and start chatting.
"Is everything alright" she asks
"I'm getting there" you say "I was in a rough spot for a bit but, I'm slowly getting back to where I need to be"
"I heard that you got a promotion at your job" she says
"Sure did"
"What is it?" She asks
"Management over marketing" you say
Later on in the night, you are talking to tyler and jenna. But you havent seen josh, you know hes there because you saw his car. So you ask "wheres josh?" They smile a little, And you feel someones hands wrap around your waist.
You give a bit of a smirk, because you knew it was the man you love entirely. He let's go and you turn around, there stood the most beautiful man ever, joshua william dun. "Hey" he said sheepishly, you blushed and laughed a little. He giggles a little and you reply "hey".
"So what's all this?" You ask about 10 minutes later.
"Well, remember when I said I wanted all of us to get together?" He asks
" and it happened" you smiled at him
"I wanted this to happen to help you feel at least 96% better" he said
You replied smart aleck like " what about the other 4%"
He just looks at you and smiles.
"Okay you got me hooked babe" you said
"That's for when we get home.. but itll be at 120% by the end of it" he says.
You get wide-eyed at his reply.
