It’s finally here ! The prologue for this WIP known as “Murder Intents” in my WIP folder has finally been posted after I’ve been talking about it for a while. Once again, many thanks to those who interacted with my headcanon request post and really big thanks to @obsidieneyes for chatting with me about Izana’s personality.
The inspiration for this fic, even if not clearly visible for the moment, is from this post by @killingecho (I hope you enjoy your reading).

Izana’s absence and his memory lived in the void between his ribs, alongside the fragments of a shattered dream and wishes that would forever remain unanswered.
He wondered how he was supposed to live like this.
If he could even live like this.

i have this very specific tr au in which ran, inui and koko are dating. and koko is a workaholic and stress himself beyond limits; he keeps on skipping meals and sleeping three hours a day so he can manage his job and college.
sometimes it gets to his head. the fear of failure, of not being good enough. he’s used to it, truth to be told. it’s something that has always being with him ever since he was a kid. but still — it hurts. not being able to breathe correctly, trembling and needing to hurt himself.
it sucks, but koko never knows when — or how — to stop. inui and ran know, tho. they play with his hair and whisper sweet nothings to bring him back, tell him to go lay down a bit. he does; and when inui hugs him from the back, kisses him on the neck and say he’s incredible, koko feels safe.
ran makes sure to cook him something light so it won’t hurt his empty stomach. he brings him the food and they share it in a comfortable silence. it’s good — it’s home.
inui and ran take care of him for as long as they can, soothing koko when it feels like is too much. it works for them. it’s slow, but it’s okay.
it’s love, after all.

and now kakucho has a whole collection of songs he can’t hear without crying and an old acoustic guitar hanging next to his bed.

i think a lot about what would’ve happened if chifuyu never picked kazutora up from jail. honestly till this day i can’t really understand why he did it, but nevermind.
so kazutora would be out on his own, not knowing what to do with this freedom — he only had it when he was with baji and now baji was dead because of him. mikey said that he forgives him — but never showed up to say hi. kazutora don’t have friends — never had them, only baji but then again, baji is dead.
he is lonely and depressed. there’s his blood relatives but kazutora would rather light himself on fire and burn to death than relay on them. and on top of all that, he has no money and of fucking course no one would employ someone who’s been to jail twice due to murder.
and then i think about hanma, who’s been so lost ever since kisaki died. kisaki kept him entertained and hanma can’t stand boredom. can’t stand his own head and his own thoughts — he needs to be constantly numb, unaware of himself. distracted to the point he forgets his own misery.
when he finds out that kazutora is somewhere out there in tokyo, he remembers the valhalla times. kazutora was so different from kisaki and yet as entertaining as him. his madness, bloodlust and pure obsession — it was so tragic and appealing. so easy to manipulate and so fun to play with.
i think he would search for kazutora and i think they’d be together in this weird, toxic dynamic only they could have. projecting their dead lovers into each other, enabling their destructive habits and doing anything at all to stop thinking.
they are both cursed and broken. too pride to rot alone, so they just keep on destroying each other.

okay but picture this: senju having something formal to attend like her graduation or shit and takeomi tells her she needs to wear heels. and she definitely doesn’t know how to do it. she keeps complaining to takemichi and draken till one day draken can’t stand it anymore and says that “is not that hard”. growing up in a brothel had its advantages and knowing how to perfectly walk on heels was one of them.
so long story short, draken gives tokyo manji 2nd gen a whole class on how to properly wear high heels, and inupi helps him, of course. and yes draken is very much alive, thank you

bonten timeline draken and inupi. how they went from complete strangers to friends and then decided to keep on shin’s legacy. they share clothes because draken’s are more comfortable and inupi’s are more fashionable. they almost burnt the kitchen down once and had to call mitsuya for help. draken likes to wake up earlier and makes coffee for both of them, and inupi does the dishes. they visit the graveyard together; draken brings emma flowers and inupi brings akane tea bags. they sit in front of shin’s grave and share a cigarette.
i just miss them and what they could’ve been
