Chapter 32 ༄ Love and War
Fandom | Greedfall
Pairing | Constantin d'Orsay x de Sardet
Words | 110.3k

Constantin knew his face must be a formidable wall that moment, for eyes shifted away from his gaze whenever he turned to stare. Still, he could feel their acidic burn upon the flesh of his back, searing deep and leaving marks. But, in return, he bore holes with his eyes into any of those who would look upon him.
He should have known. He saw Aurelie, saw the strain and desolation new and dark in his bright, wild lover’s eyes. How much she worried about the impending war, how much it wore on her that they may have to kill his father. He should have known. It made the fury burn even hotter and the conviction all the brighter.

In a flash, the man moved towards them, making as if to launch himself where he could reach for Aurelie’s clothing. Perhaps she should have been prepared, should have expected the attack, and shot a bolt of magic at him, but she froze.
“SĂora!” she gasped out as the woman shoved her back, tense as the string of a tautly pulled bow, prepared to leap into action.
But the attack never came.

Chapter 30 ༄ Tether
Fandom | Greedfall
Pairing | Constantin x De Sardet
Words | 107k
Teaser |
Her chest felt squashed beneath a mountain’s impossible weight. Everything around her vibrated, and she wondering if it was a figment of her imagination or if her body was shaking so hard that she coud not see clearly through ripples of blinding, watery light. A figure towered over her, she thought, lithe with branches about verdant cropped hair. Perhaps she was going mad like her lover, her spirit unraveling like a ball of string beneath the claws of a cruel feline.
Is this what madness felt like?

For Us Update
Chapter 30 is in the works, but might take me some time as I'm writing it during my studies! If you wanted to know a little bit about me, I'm a sculpture major at university and writing is just one of many passions. I've been into literate RP since I was 10 (like 15 years ago) and it wasn't until I started playing Greedfall that I wanted to write a fanfic. It's a lot harder than I thought, for sure.
If you'd like to see some of my artwork, feel free to check out my Instagram!
Thank you so much for your patience. ♡

For Us
Chapter 29 ༄ Nostalgia
Fandom; Greedfall
Pairing; Constantin d'Orsay x De Sardet
Teaser;
Few and far between were any good and green memories of this place, for even the happiest memories were now tainted with sorrow. Looking upon it, Vasco felt a bitter mixture of gladness and hatred churn and mingle in his breast, like oil mixing with water, black ink and sunshine. To taste it would have made his nose wrinkle, for it would have been both sweet and sour, and one could not be separated from the other for appreciation alone.
A bustle of Coin Guard, Naut and even Thélème priests paraded through the shattered cobbled streets, paying no attention to the trio who walked with heavy steps across the courtyard. It would seem Prince d’Orsay had made himself at home in the very short few days since his arrival. Vasco paid it no mind, however. For he soon found himself standing before a familiar red bricked house.

do you ever think For Us will be finished? If not , how would it have ended?
I have pined for many years, great one.
I would like to say, yes... however I burnt myself out quite badly writing the series. I've only recently considered replaying the game and perhaps finishing the fic. I don't want to say that it's done, I left it off at a crossroads as I couldn't decide whether to end it early or see it through. I haven't given up hope on it! Honestly, I didn't know anyone wanted me to continue it.
That said, I will give you a little spoiler. I had planned on Lord d'Orsay making special visit, with Constantin and De Sardet meeting him. It feels anticlimactic to just kill him right there, so I'm leaning towards a longer option. Their unborn child might play into that.
I hope that answers your question! Thank you for loving my series so much.

For my sixth and final Inquisition playthrough in just as many years, I chose to romance Solas again for canon.. Only to bawl one last time watching this scene unfold.

Okay I'm a huge Tolkienverse nerd and I know at this point Galadriel has a husband and daughter (even if she thinks he's dead, I doubt he is.) But as a hardcore enemy to lovers fan, this is my jam. I mean it's probably why they made her think Celeborn is dead... to lure in fans like me but I am 100% for this thirst trap.
