I don't know if this is an effect of depression or not but there were certain things and concepts in fiction that absolutely thrill me and gave me a very specific type of joy years ago can barely make me feel the same way now. It used to be so easy to slot my characters into these scenarios but now it feels kind of bleh. The feeling is just barely there, smothered by a pillow almost.
