I can't help but notice who has their arms out and who doesn't, and have a little theory

The ones holding their arms out will be the ones who achieve redemption (though Niffty has me second thinking that theory...) while the ones who don't won't

Lucifer and Charlie, obviously, won't, since they're a fallen angel and a hellborn, respectively

Vaggie is (technically?) still an angel and would never leave Charlie, so neither needs nor wants redemption

Alastor has zero interest in redemption and likely could never achieve redemption, since his crimes during life are pretty much irredeemable. Heck, while Charlie is gesticulating (extending her arms and then pulling them back towards herself), and Vaggie and Lucifer are mirrored on either side of her with one hand propped on their hip, Alastor's hands are behind his back. Pose is completely closed off.

But Angel, Husk and Cherri are all viable candidates for redemption, and Niffty......... possibly could be? Her only real crime is being a freak and possibly having killed her husband but that's neither here nor there- point is, the ones holding their arms out are the only ones in this screenshot who I can see even having a chance at redemption.

Anyway that's just a theory that might not even be holding water- I'm looking at you, Niffty....

as someone with a guilty pleasure for isekai and time regression stories I am just thinking of a story where Husk dies and wakes up during the height of his Overlord days with the memories of everything that would happen and has just. From the outside perspective become a completely different person overnight and changed his ways (read: the morals he gained during his afterlife he applies to how he, uh... Overlords?). A Husk whose last soul deal is to get Angel Dust away from Valentino (and offers Angel his freedom, which Angel possibly decides not to take for the time being bc it'd be safer for him to be under contract than not, with Valentino as mad as he is), and who avoids making bets/deals with Alastor like the plague. Starts building alliances with other Overlords (maybe even including Alastor, albeit reluctantly) to steadily create a support network/team (which is also useful when going up against the Vees once they're established), and just bides his time until Charlie and Vaggie open their hotel- which, at the time of his death, he had come to love and support the cause of.

And Husk is ready to be the hotel's sponsor, immediately. Alastor gets there and finds Husk beat him to it (seeing as Husk knows about it before the interview even airs), but unlike Alastor with his ulterior motives, Husk actually wants to help.

After all, he died for the hotel, and its people, once upon a time

something something Husk who dislikes his demon form and doesn't fly/use his wings because of it using said wings to try and protect his friends something something using personal experiences to break cycles and learn to accept/love himself as he is... something something

Confession in the heat of battle, adrenaline pumping, no time to really dwell on it, just need to say it in case there's no tomorrow, one kiss before it all potentially ends-

and later on, after the battle is done, they talk about it. Soft and quiet and just the two of them, now that they know there's a tomorrow. Affirmations that it wasn't the adrenaline talking, being able to say more than "I'm protecting you because I love you, dumbass!!" And a nice gentle soft kiss, with just enough hesitation for consent to be given and just hhhhh

Anyway hi hello I have many feelings about these two

im of two minds

theres one part of me that wants husk and angel's official getting together and first kiss on screen to be quiet and soft. just for them. something that they nurture and encourage together, just them. soft music, softer smiles. just schmoopy bullshit. (this is probs my top preference but only by a smidge)

but there's another part of me that wants them fighting for each other. risking themselves for the other, clawing to keep the other safe. where they'd declare their love publicly and loudly for the world to hear but say fuck you to everyone and everything except each other. their first kiss will be rough and passionate with grabbing hands as if they'd never see each other again. then, when everything's over, they don't let go of the other. not for a long long while.

For the purposes of this poll I am counting Lucifer, Adam and Lute as "S1 main cast" since Lucifer is... well... Lucifer, and Adam and Lute were the big bads of the season. The Vee's get to be non-main bc they were little more than annoyances/minor antagonists and I know it would piss Vox off <3

having thoughts about how Husk actually has very little left to redeem bc he started his journey of self-change before even coming to work at the hotel, but at the same time redemption isn't even his goal- he ain't even aiming for heaven, he just wanted to be a better person and maybe now with friends and especially Angel, who he supports so much and wants to see succeed, maybe now he has a reason to be a better person

What if when Alastor's true plans come out Husk tries to stop him, tries to talk him down, bc these are their friends, and for fuck's sake Alastor all you have to do is ask for help and they'll help, but Alastor commands Husk to fight them to slow them down from trying to stop them (Alastor 100% knows Husk doesn't stand a chance against Charlie, if she starts fighting seriously, but still). What if we only see just how powerful Husk really is when he's 1-v-4ing Charlie, Vaggie, Angel and Niffty. What if Angel gets him into a 1-v-1 and gives Charlie and Vaggie a chance to go after Alastor, and Husk is begging Angel to just shoot him bc Husk would rather die than hurt Angel but Angel refuses and and and-

I may have thoughts and feelings about this.

I love their friendship/family vibe, the fact she's looking at Zestial when she says "I'll keep you safe" like... "yeah you're part of this family now deal with it"

His confused little expression when she says (well, sings) it, too

he's precious and I too want to protect him even tho he's probably like. The Strongest Of Them (he's been there hundreds of years.... everyone's terrified of him....)

Anyway this family means so much to me and if anything happens to any of them I will burn down this house

quick question to Hazbin Hotel Husk enthusiasts but besides on the hotel do we ever see Husk with/represented by a spade suit symbol? Like every time I see him holding cards they're the ace of hearts, diamonds and clubs but besides on the front of the hotel I don't think I've noticed a spade at all, let alone an ace of spades

which is interesting to me considering what the ace of spades represents

but I could easily have missed it and it means nothing

But also Husk went traveling. Like these two could have met while they were alive and wouldn't even know it. They didn't even know the other existed until they met at the hotel

One thing I keep thinking of Husks wings. Do they work? Can he fly with them? The only evidence I have that he can is a half second clip in episode 8 when they first run off to battle and I’m not even entirely convinced he was flying? Will be thinking about this for a while

I cannot figure out for the life of me if Alastor is actually growing fond/attached to them. It actually, genuinely seems like he is, despite having his own agenda.

Which would be delightful for me, I love heartless characters who care about specific people. "I would kill any and everyone. Except these people right here. If you even look at them funny you're dead <3"

Also, if Crymini hasn't been scrapped and she and Husk still have that father-daughter relationship with Husk willingly stepping into that role, I wonder if between his growing relationship with Angel and becoming an adoptive father/father figure for Crymini (and maybe he even changes his drinking habits- definitely doesn't stop drinking but maybe stops drinking to excess?) might change how Alastor sees (and treats) him.

Guys I'm so in love with Carmilla I haven't even gotten to episode 8 yet bc I keep going back and watching her scenes I'm so.

She's so.... pretty woman.... I love the way she moves and fight...... I need more of her....
