Been listning to “You must remember this” podcast and felt so inspired by their episode on Ida Lupino. Not only was she an actress and singer but also a director, in fact she was the first woman ever to direct a Film Noir. She would write and direct movies dealing with social issues particularly women’s issues. Her movies were based on true stories, with strong women, dealing with pregnancies without marriage, bigamy and rape.
