pov: albus and scorpius get a flat together in muggle London. albus introduces him to muggle technology. he brings home a pair of bluetooth headphones so scorpius can listen to music and audiobooks. (scorpius is distraught that this is the first time he’s heard of such a wonderful device.) he also puts them on noise-cancelling mode when places get too loud/overwhelming. needless to say, he takes them everywhere. albus finds this ridiculously adorable and snaps a polaroid one day as scorpius is puttering around, vacuuming the flat and listening to an audiobook

my favourite way to write albus is to make him as suspicious as humanly possible, like everything points to him being evil or something but he is literally just some guy
unfathomably real. i like to think hes got a massive resting bitch face too that makes you think hes planning to overthrow the world when all hes doing is contemplating what to cook for dinner or what he should buy his bf for valentines

This is a parody that pays homage to the musical Mamma Mia! (I love the film version!)
I'd love to see the story that starts when the MC's daughter finds a diary from when MC was a student and MC's daughter knows that either Seb or Omi could be her father. It should definitely be interesting!🤩
The following is an easily readable version of the diary text and the "6 June" description, which was made incidentally but rejected.
(I love the 'honey honey' scene in the musical 😏)
I vaguely think it would be interesting MC got intimate with two Slytherins just before graduating from Hogwarts, and shortly after the graduation ceremony, she realised she was pregnant and chose to live as a single mother.
It's a lot of fun to fantasise about this parody, like what will cause Seb, Omi and MC to meet again, who is the real father of MC's daughter and which man will MC choose 🤣💓

pov: albus gifts Scorpius a polaroid camera for Christmas. he's never owned a camera before, and he's so excited and whips it out whenever he feels like it. when Albus least expects it he'll suddenly be blinded by the camera flash before Scorpius excitedly waits for the picture to develop

thomas grant and adam wadsworth scorbus moments that make me go feral
(all of these moments take place in toward the end after Scorpius asks Rose to be his friend on the staircase)
EDIT: i'm currently writing a fic about this scene. lemme know if you'd like to be added to the taglist for when it gets posted :)
Scorpius excitedly leaning into Albus' personal space (these boys faces were 3 inches apart) and Albus shyly laughing and fiddling with his hands every time Scorpius leans down
(we also know how averse Albus is to loud noises and invasions of personal space, so the complete trust and affection with which he allows Scorpius near him is so so sweet)
adding to the point above: Albus consistently flinches at loud, sudden noises and movements (flinching when James sneaks up on him, recoiling when James pretends that his arm is a snake about to strike in the opening scene, shying away to tuck into his parents' side when random fans of Harry, Ron, and Hermione try to wave to him at the station in the first scene)
Rose watching them gradually inch toward each other on the staircase and getting more excited the closer they get
(after Scorpius declares that his progress with Rose is something upon which to build his "Palace of Harmony") Albus panics and grabs his shoulders, stuttering as he asks "And that's who you'd want? In your palace of harmony?"
poor boy is afraid his best friend will fall in love with his cousin (sweetie, your cousin is literally rooting for you 5 feet away)
Albus panicking when Rose reappears, quickly standing up to avoid suspicion. even panicked, he can't bear not being in contact with Scorpius and keeps his hands on his shoulders
Albus' hands sliding from Scorpius' shoulders when he realizes that Rose knows
THE FACT THAT SCORPIUS IS COMPLETELY OBLIVIOUS
Rose (possibly the biggest Scorbus shipper in the entire family) gently telling Albus "You know, this is only going to be weird if you two let it be weird :)"
Albus' little voice crack when Rose asks if he's okay
Albus: "What's this? I thought we didn't hug?"
Scorpius: "I wasn't sure whether we should...in this new version of us."
(I originally thought "this new version of us" just referred to them being older/wiser, but now I think the "new version" refers to their budding romantic relationship

Since you guys were BEGGING me to write about it (literally nobody asked), I will just quickly mention one that is so small people probably wouldn’t even know it was changed but has so much meaning:
OG:
Scorpius: I didn’t know whether we should. In this new version of us I had in my head.
Current:
Scorpius: I didn’t know whether we should. In this new version of us.
SCORPIUS WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE BABES???? Now call me insane but I feel like this is a pretty big deal. To me this pretty much confirms they realised their love for each other in terms of a more romantic way, but I guess one could argue that the “new version” he states is about them coming back from time?? And being a different version??
And the removal of “in my head” takes away the idea that it was only Scorpius that felt this way, instead now it’s clear that Albus felt the same way as well. Coz if you go back to the OG script, it more so reads that Scorpius had feelings for Albus but he didn’t reciprocate those feelings. Obviously now it’s super different… *cough, Scorpius is the most important person in his life, cough*.
It actually makes me so frustrated (in a good way) that I will never be able to get a 100% confirmed answer as to why they changed the script so much. I have my theories but obviously not confirmed. Like some of these changes are absolutely atrocious (again, in a good way) that I need to know everything about it or I will explode. Just some food for thought xx

Hide and Seek: The End
Well, this is it.
The last update of Hide & Seek and the end of Albus & Scorpius’ journey is now posted.
I truly can’t thank you all enough for your support over the last year. If you had told me I’d actually complete a 745k word story back then, I’d never believe you. And yet somehow, miraculously, here we are.
For the next few weeks I’ll be responding to comments on AO3 and asks on here, and after that I’ll be fading into the mist. Do with the story what you will. If you’d like to use OCs, plot lines, whatever it is, feel free. No need to ask for any of it. The story is as much yours as it is mine (Of course, no profiting, etc., as it is fanfic, but you know that already!).
