Thought we were going to get a late-afternoon session in, and ended up finding a guy stuck pretty far, pretty unprepared, up in the canyon (1st time in the area) , pretty late in the afternoon, getting ready to spend the night. We hooked him up with some water, but it wasn't much, and called for help to get him out, or at least off the mountain (he wanted to stay with his truck, instead of allowing us to give him a ride back into town). There is still a lot of snow on the road going into the canyon, and the @u.s.forestservice won't plow it for a while (if at all). All these trenches from stuck vehicles ruin the trail for people on sleds, and people wanting to skin the road, and ot really puts people in a bad spot if you're not prepared...
