I'm down to 245, guys.
Which means I only have 45 pounds to go before I reach my goal of 200 for senior prom.
45 pounds in 6 months? Yes, I can!

I can’t count how many times I have failed at doing something, yet I kept practicing and now I master it.

Part of tonight's dinner: Asparagus, oven-roasted, drizzled in lemon-flavored olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, sea salt, and fresh ground black pepper. Yummm.

On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me…three french toast.
French toast is on the top of my list for favorite breakfasts, especially during the winter. This morning I decided to whip up some french toast to treat my body before heading to the gym to meet up with my trainer. Eating tons of sugar and carbs would make me sick during my intense workout, so I made a lighter version of French toast.

All you need is…
2 Medium Egg Whites
3 Slices of 40 Calorie Whole Grain Bread (Village Hearth)
2 Tbsp Sugar Free Syrup
1/2 Tbsp Chopped Pecans
1/2 Tbsp Dark Chocolate Chips
1/2 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
1/2 Small Banana
Cooking Spray
Tumblr media
-Spray a frying pan with cooking spray.
-Turn heat to medium-high.
-Dip slices of bread into egg whites.
-Place dipped bread onto heated skillet.
-Cook until each side is golden brown.
Tumblr media
-Slice 1/2 of the banana into slices, approximately 1/2 inch thick.
-Spray heated pan with cooking spray.
-Add bananas to pan, cook until each side is golden brown.
Tumblr media
-Top french toast with: cinnamon, chocolate chips, pecans and bananas.
-Drizzle syrup over the top.

The toppings are all optional. I chose to add the toppings because I needed the extra energy and nutrition for the gym. The bananas are high in potassium. The dark chocolate has tons of health benefits for your body. Dark chocolate is full of antioxidants. The pecans are high in protein and contain healthy fats.

Here are some of the nutrition facts for French toast in our favorite breakfast restaurants:
Dennys : 870 Calories, 42g Fat, 94g Carbs, 68g Sugar, 5g Fiber, 15g Protein
Perkins: 790 Calories, 31g Fat, 108g Carbs, 59g Sugar, 2g Fiber, 21g Protein
IHOP: 650 Calories, 36g Fat, 59g Carbs, 17g Sugar, 5g Fiber, 20g Protein
4 Sonic French Toast Sticks: 500 Calories, 31g Fat, 50g Carbs, 2g Fiber, 7g Protein
Corner Bakery Cafe: 1250 Calories, 52g Fat, 187g Carbs, 4g Fiber, 80g Sugar, 20g Protein
As you can see, it’s hard to find a light French toast when you are out for breakfast. It’s also easy to rack up those calories when you are cooking french toast at home, if you don’t swap some of the ingredients.
After making some swaps with my french toast, I was pleased with the nutrition facts.
Taralynn’s Light French Toast: (Serving Size 3 Slices With Toppings)

On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me…3 French hens.
I keep setting birds free.  You’d think my true love would have gotten the point by now. I don’t want any birds for Christmas, or any animal for that matter. How about a basket of fruit, or new running shoes? What is a French hen anyways?
I decided to make the best of the situation and keep the French hens, but only for their eggs. With their eggs, I am going to make the best golden French toast!
Hopefully my true love will realize, I am not a bird person.

So, a Little Bit About Me
My name's Tinsley, I just turned 18 in October. I'm a senior in high school and graduating class of 2013. I have a part-time job as a cashier, which I've discovered helps me burn calories, so yay.
I'm from Nashville, and...hmm, what else?
Oh yeah, I'm trying to get fit!
I'm not going to sugar-coat it, guys: I'm fat. Yeah. My highest weight, my darkest hour, is 275. I know, right? I can't believe it, either. Well, until I pulled my head out of my ass and saw the number on the scale.
Well, now I'm down to 250, which means 25 pounds lost so far. My goal weight is 115, which I think is a good weight for my height and frame. So excited to wear all the cutest clothes.
Anyway, my major inspiration is Taralynn McNitt, aka Undressed Skeleton. She's given me motivation, so many great ideas, and makes it all seem accessible and like something I can accomplish. After all, she did it at my age. I can, too.
