What really gets me is when people say that Emerie and Gwyn were better friends/people to Nesta in comparison to Elain and Feyre.
1. Elain and Feyre are Nesta’s sisters, which will always be a VERY different dynamic than friends.
2. Elain and Feyre saw Nesta at her worst. In the human lands when they were all living in poverty, and right after the war/after turning Fae. Gwyn and Emerie got Nesta during her healing phase, not at her lowest.
3. Nesta never lashed out at Gwyn and Emerie like she did Feyre and Elain. Not even close. She was a little rude and standoffish to them at worst, but she never bluntly insulted or tried to verbally hurt them to the point that they would leave her. Which was Nesta’s goal with Feyre and Elain.
4. Gwyn and Emerie haven’t known Nesta that long. That doesn’t mean their friendship isn’t valid, but it’s still NEW. Not even a full year. Honestly, they’re still getting to know each other. Gwyn and Emerie know a lot about Nesta, but definitely not everything.
Idk every time I see a take like Gwyn snd Emerie being better to Nesta than Feyre and Elain, I’m just like…well yeah, Nesta was better to Gwyn and Emerie right off the bat. If she’d been the same level to them as she was to Feyre and Elain, I don’t think they would have become friends nearly as quickly. If ever. 🤷🏼♀️
