The best way to keep the fash off your blog isn't having a dni banner or whatever you just have to bang pots and pans together every so often like "I love trans women and jewish people" and they scuttle away like roaches when you turn the lights on

✨Loki concept build reveal!!✨
After two and a half years, here he is: my Loki costume based on one of the Ragnarok concept art designs by the incredible @aleksibriclot!
Those who have been around here a while will know I was always sad we didn’t get the darker Norse/Viking aesthetic in Ragnarok, so when I saw this early design I knew I wanted to bring it to life, even if it took a long time (I’m just one person after all, not multiple Marvel studios!)
I have SO MUCH to share about the process and materials and some epic photos we got this past weekend, but for now I thought a badass transition was the way to start. 😜

I have been gone so long because life knocked me down and then kept pushing my face into the mud. Apologies to my mutuals I was keeping with and our discords we frolicked in. I've had to neglect a lot of things when I was forced to live defensively, but I now live solo. Just me and my cat. I dunno if I'll be able to be as frequent as I had been before, things haven't quite stabilized, but I am alive, and I'm sorry I had disappeared so abruptly. I heard the TV show is finally over tho....

I could fix him. I could make him worse. Good for you. I could gently take the weapon out of his shaking, blood-soaked hand and hold him until he finally believes that he doesn't have to be defined by all the ways the world has hurt him. Then we could ruin the lives of everyone who has ever treated him like he's a monster who doesn't deserve love.

hey the loki after 2013 was great too so you are wrong
One: you are waaaaay late to this rodeo, craven, this is an old song and dance of which there is evidence and discussions that would certainly go over your head. But you can keep believing that fallacy of yours, go ahead, nobody stopping you.
Two: say it to my face. Come on, I dare you. Expose yourself, craven, let us see you boldly defend that claim. Stop hiding behind anonymous. No? Then sit down and shut up, your opinion is worthless anyway.

I have a theory that Odin sent Thor to Midgard because it was protection disguised as punishment, as well as a clever political move
Midgard is the realm that no one else bothers with. It's too archaic, humans too dull to take notice of. Thor, as someone with centuries of combat experience and a great deal of charisma, would theoretically be able to survive and even thrive without his Aesir power. Outside of fights he put himself in, the most dangerous situation Thor was involved in was being hit by cars
It also comes with the benefit of not embarrassing the royal family to any of their allies on the other realms
If peace was ever going to be on the table for Laufey, it would most certainly come at the price of Thor’s life. One bloodthirsty prince or one long, bloody war: which would you rather lose, Allfather?
However, it would be a bad look to the rest of the realms to still demand such a thing after Thor had been stripped of power and exiled. Even worse had Jotuns somehow traveled to Midgard to kill Thor themselves. The realms as a whole would've been moved to take up arms against Jotunheim
Laufey seems intelligent, he probably would have known this and kept away even if he had the means to go
And to cinch the whole deal, Odin sent Mjolnir with the enchantment with full confidence that Thor would be able to become worthy and return home. Thor already had a lot of the qualities Odin considered worthy (all the things he listed in the coronation speech, being of Odin blood), he merely needed to set aside his ego for like. 5 minutes
Even if that didn't happen, I'm sure he had a backup plan. Probably Loki fixing everything again
The only reason none of it worked out like he thought it would is because Loki discovered the truth
Of course, this makes a lot of assumptions about the dynamics of the realms, Odin's methods and motivations, etc etc, but what do you think?
I like this theory. *Slams it to the ground* Another!
Jokes aside, it's really plausible, and it ends up making a lot of sense and puts into perspective how intelligent Odin can be as a strategist. After all, Loki had to get that perk somewhere growing up, right? (And originally Norse Odin was a very similar God to Loki.) I think for me, imma take this as canon in my head.

Still not over Feige saying Odin was a tough but fair father to both his sons when (even ignoring the way he favored Thor and constantly shut down Loki) he literally raised both his children steeped in genocidal hatred for the Jotnar even tho one of his sons was Jotun and he was fully intending to reveal this fact to them one day. like ?????!

Loki Week: Day One - Costumes
Loki’s Prison Clothes;
“While Loki is in captivity, he wears something very similar to his ‘walkabout’/casual look from the first Thor film. The original direction from Alan Taylor was that his prison look could be what he was wearing underneath his Avengers costume. Unfortunately, as I began exploring that, we found it to be too complex and cumbersome. So I used that idea as a starting point and simplified it, creating sleek and elegant lines that mirrored the idea that everything had been stripped away from Loki. He is barefoot and completely powerless. I also kept some of the motifs we used in the previous films, including the interlocking wraps of leather and cloth that can be seen on his arms and legs.” -Charlie Wen, concept artist

all the points about the game's antisemitism and financially supporting transphobia in real life are good points. like absolutely both are awful! both are great reasons not to play the fucking game!
but back to basics here. who wants to play a game about crushing the rebellion of a slave race in the first place. fucking hello? Magic Violent Oppressor Simulator was appealing to people? am i getting this right? per that last post there are canonical previous rebellions. this game really says here are some people who have been oppressed and trying to escape for hundreds of years. time to put them back in their place! and people are enjoying it? *tap tap* is this thing on?

Whoever runs the Miss Minutes Twitter is just amazing. 🤣
I read this and thought ‘relatable!’. Now I’m only imagining Miss Minute watch the series and getting more and more anxious.

I don’t know if anyone’s already done this one, but I just stumbled on this earlier today. It’s a really quick video, just a little over 7 minutes long, but they touch on the heart of the matter really well. Just to throw a few quotes from this out there -
“it’s a public humiliation. It felt as if the writers were exacting some form of revenge on these characters”
“…and taking all the things that made them exciting and interesting to…let’s just make them really stupid and incompetent and eclipse them with their counterparts that are obviously going to be better than them”
“it was such a farce to take this man who is supposed to be this god and completely turn him into this joke”
“Loki was introduced as this really formidable force and now he’s just this dancing monkey - he’s no threat at all”
“it’s good that there are more roles for women, but it’s not good when those roles actually create a false perception of what it really means to be a woman – what I mean is so many Marvel superhero women are so perfect that it’s impossible to connect with them”
She goes on to explain things so well, how these new female counterparts (she mentions Sylvie specifically) have no hero’s journey because they’re already perfect, they already have the power, there’s nothing for them to learn, nothing to be taught because they know everything, and if anybody doubts that then it must come from a place of malice. Bingo. She nailed it.
Anyway, just thought I’d put this out there as food for thought.
