Javier (2/?)

It’s night-time. When you look up to the night sky, you see stars. Javier and Kate are laying several footsteps away from you. You assume that they are sleeping. You are thirsty. You recall that there is a river nearby and you decide that you are heading there to get water. You quietly stand up and get a weapon. Suddenly, you overhear something. “Why can’t we just tell Y/N?” Javier whispers to Kate, “We can’t trust her yet.” Kate replies. The feeling of annoyance that surged into you when you heard that made you walk up to them. “What do you mean you can’t trust me?” you said. When you said that they were astonished, Kate tried to reply but you interrupted her. “I could have killed both of you back there, I could have walked off and have left you with those walkers. But I didn’t!” you exclaimed. Kate looks flabbergasted, you could tell by her silence. “I’m sorry Y/N, I wanted to tell you.” Javier said. “Tell me what?” you asked. “We have a community.. A sanctuary.. Somewhere safe..”. “A-are you serious? Why are we here? Why are we out here where we could be attacked any moment!” you snapped. “It’s my fault.. I didn’t trust you” Kate said. You frown at Kate. There is clearly tension between you and Kate, and not the good kind. “I think we can trust you, cariño.” Javier said. With your limited knowledge of the Spanish language, you decipher that cariño means sweetheart. Did Javier just call you sweetheart? “Then let’s go.” you said while trying to hide your flushed face. “Let’s go” Javier agreed.

Several hours later.

“We are here” Javier says while rubbing the sweat from his forehead. You look up. You see a huge gate. You see a few guards in front of the gate, and you see one man in particular who stands out. Something about him makes him stand out. You’re not sure what.

“Hey, hermano.” the man yells, “¿Pasa algo?” he asks somewhat worried. “Yes, everything is good, brother.” Javier replied. You look surprised. “This is Y/N, she’s my friend. She saved our lives.” Javier said. “Ah, a friend of yours is a friend of mine. Welcome to New Frontier, my name is David. I’m Javier’s brother as you might have noticed.” David confidently says. “Nice to meet you, David.” you say. You notice that David looks at you intensely. “I-Is something wrong?” you ask. When you asked that he quickly turns around, looking somewhat embarrassed. “No. Nothing is wrong.” he says laughingly. You faintly hear a walker growling from far away. Without hesitation you walk up to a guard and take his sniper rifle. You shoot the walker between the eyes without any effort. “Wow, you’re a nice shot, amiga.” David says, “That walker was 700 meters away!”. You notice Kate glancing at you enviously. “Let me give you a tour.” David excitedly says. “No it’s okay. I will give her a tour.” Javier interrupted. “No, I-” David wanted to respond, but Javier quickly pulled you away with him.

An hour later. Javier opens the door of - what looks like - David’s empty office.

“Come in, come in.” Javier says. “David even has a pool table in his office.. Unbelievable.” Javier jokingly said. You giggle. You saw Javier’s face light up when you giggled. “Y/N.. I wanted to thank you again in person. What happened earlier... I never doubted you.. I promise” Javier whispers. Javier moves his head closer to yours. “Thank you..” Javier says. His lips reach your lips as he starts to kiss you. You felt like you were floating on cloud nine. “Hey Javier, I wanted to talk to you abo-” Kate says while walking in the office.

She looked angrily at you. She then walked out of the room again. “Oh.. I should check what she wanted to talk to me about.” Javier mutters. “O-oh.. Okay..” you replied. You see Javier walk out of the room. You decide to take a seat in David’s chair while trying to evaluate the situation. Suddenly, David walks into the room. “Hey, Y/N!” David says, “Sitting on my chair, are you?”. “A-ah.. Sorry!” you say while quickly standing up. “It’s okay, guapa. Pretty girls can always sit in my chair.” he says confidently. “T-thank you..? I should go find a place to sleep, I’ll talk to you later.” you say with a flushed face while walking towards the door. “Ah. I have a room for you. It’s 2 houses away. I’ll let a guard escort you.” David says. “Okay. Thank you.” you say. You walk out of David’s office and a guard escorts you to your room. You decide to rest.

Javier (1/?)

After 10 hours of consecutively trying to find food, you nearly give up. But something inside of you drives you to keep walking. Keep trying... Your eyes light up... You see a house in the distance. You start running towards it without examining the surroundings first..

Suddenly, out of the corner of your eyes you see a walker approaching you. He aggressively grabs your left arm. Full of adrenaline and fear you start repeatedly yelling: “NO!”. You have no weapons nor power to keep fighting the walker. You realize you have to do something or otherwise you will be the midnight snack of this disgusting walker. You grab the walker’s head with both of your arms in attempt to push him away from you. Your fingers start penetrating his eye sockets and you can sense his rotten brain on your fingertips. You continue offensively pushing your fingers further inside the walker’s head. All of a sudden, the walker’s horrifying growls stop. You take your fingers out of the walker’s head and as you do that the walker falls on the ground. “I-I... won’t give up...” you mutter. You keep walking towards the house and you open the door..

“F-finally...” you whisper. You notice that the house has already been raided and there is no food or water anywhere to be found. You decide that you need some rest. Your eyes start closing.. slowly...

You start waking up because of noises you hear outside. “Have you checked for muertos in here, Kate?” “No.. not yet”. You hear two people right outside the door. You quickly run towards the desk so you can hide under it. “They are coming Javi.. There are more than a dozen of them!” you hear. Watching through a crack that resides in the desk, you see a handsome man and a woman. They must be Javi and Kate, you thought. You can see them trying to fight off walkers, but you know that they can’t handle them themselves. You hesitate... But you trust your instincts. You start crawling away from the desk and you see a golf club in the corner of the room. You take the golf club and with the golf club you slowly walk outside.. “I-I will help you..” you say while bashing a walker’s brain in. The three of you start mowing down the walkers one by one.

Minutes that felt like hours later..

While the three of you are trying to catch your breath, you are still unsure if you can trust them. “Thank you for helping us out with the muertos.. We owe you.” Javi says. “It’s okay... Y-you would do the same..” you say. “We haven’t introduced ourselves yet, my name is Kate” “Hola, my na-” Javi attempts to say until a loud growl from near his feet interrupts him. You push him away and start stomping into the walker’s head. “¡Ay Dios Santo Bendito y la Virgen y la Santísima Trinidad! Thanks!” Javi says while he leans his arms on his knees.. “The damn muerto didn’t even let me finish introducing myself.. My name is Javier” he says with a faint smile on his face. “It’s nice to meet you both.. My name is Y/N... I should be going again... Stay safe..” you say. “No! Come with us... You saw what we did with the muertos together... We can survive.. together..” Javier says. “O-okay...” you hesitantly say. You look at Javier while agreeing to come with them and you notice that he is euphoric that you are going with them.

Will they betray you? Or are they good people after all? Why was Javier so happy that you agreed to come with them? To be continued.

Meeting Eugene

After suffering somber and sorrowful events in the horrible post-apocalyptic world, you see Alexandria right in front of you. You are on the verge of fainting due to lack of hydration. You start falling on your knees... You feel extremely light-headed.. “H-help.. me...” you whisper as you knock on the gate of Alexandria.

Suddenly.. you hear a faint voice coming from the other side of the gate... “Before awarding you the privilege of entering the premises, I am required to ask you your name for administrative purposes.”

“M-my name is Y-Y/N” you say while trying to stay conscious. You hear the loud, yet reassuring sound of metal.. The gate slowly opens. Due to the sun shining aggressively into your eyes, you don’t get a clear view of who’s standing in front of you. You see a hazy silhouette of a man before fainting..

A few hours later..

You slowly begin waking up and start panicking.. “Where am I?!” you try to yell. 

“Calm down, my name is Michonne. Why are you here?” Michonne asks with a firm voice. You notice a sword leaning against the bed. “A-are you going to hurt me?” you mutter. “No of course not.. Well it depends on what your purposes are.. Why are you here?” she asked. “I lost my friends and I am all by myself” you say with tears in your eyes. “I’m sorry. You are lucky that Eugene was at the gate.. He brought you in” Michonne explains.

You are trying to recall what happened at the gate, but all you remember is seeing a blurry silhouette standing at the gate. “C-can I talk to him?” you ask. Michonne stands up while talking into a walkie-talkie “Y/N is awake, Eugene can you come here right away?”. “Affirmative” you hear through the walkie-talkie. “I will talk to you later” Michonne says while walking out of the room.

You see the man who brought you inside Alexandria standing at the doorway. “H-hello.. Thank you so much for saving me..” you say. “I am delighted my services were correctly rendered to save you from potential death.. We haven’t been formally introduced, my name is Eugene, it is a pleasure to have made your acquaintance”. “It is nice to meet you as well, Eugene. T-thank you so much again... I can’t thank you enough..” you say. 

You try to get out of bed.. Suddenly, you realize that you don’t have a shirt on. You assume it is due to a physical examination the doctor of Alexandria performed. “I-I’m so sorry!” you mutter while trying to cover up with a blanket. “No need to apologize. For all intents and purposes I am not ashamed to proclaim that I do enjoy the sight of the female form.” Eugene hurriedly says before quickly walking out of the room..
