Artist, illustrator & wizard (obviously)•• Brave exploress/explorer! You have found one of those springs of tumblr youth where nothing but original content trickle from the bedrock of the pen and paper in to the rushing stream of the internet.•• Likes, reblogs, comments and follows all dearly appriciated•• Been here since the olden days. Love the diversity and safe harbors of the tumblr archipelago.
It feels empty learning Terry Pratchett has passed away.
I will always remember how I giggled hysterically, tears running, reading discworld novels. And I will also always cherish the memories of concerned gazes from fellow commuters trying to asses if the obviously insane young man curled up with his book in the bus seat was a danger or just a nuisance.
Have you flipped the tumblr switch to not get scraped for AI-theft today?
It’s in the account settings. If in the app do the following:
1. Go to your blog (tiny human symbol)
2. Go to account settings (tiny cogwheel on the top right).
3. Scroll down to and hit Visibility (the second option from the end)
4. Activate the last oft the three switches (depending on your previous settings it may already be activated (symbol sky blue with switch to the right)
If you have several blogs you need to do it for each one.
Here’s how you flip your tumblr-settings to stave off AI-scraping. (Via the cog symbol top right) No idea how much of an effect it will have, on my original posts or the 1000 of times they have been shared on other blogs.
Please flip your finger to pirate generative ai.
Healthy me would take every precaution making my 1000 images steeped in nightshade but I’m sick and there simply isn’t any energy for it. So this will have to do.

Wait, what, why are the coming for tumblr? To the AI-vultures, going back in time is the only way to find health carcasses to eat. Why? Because everything posted from a year back may be AI-generated and they don’t want to touch that shit as it may corrupt their output and make future babies increasingly more and more inbred. The good shit is to be found stealing old tumblr posts representing millions of artists hours.
Nice to see my hat is still doing the rounds around here. To answer some of your questions.
-it’s not really that heavy, I haven’t got an exact number but I’d be surprised if it was more than two-three kilos. The whole build was about getting it as light weight and cheap as possible.
- it’s not possible to fold it. The brim’s inner construction is in five detachable parts.
-I keep it in the basement and use it much to seldom.
- I probably don’t take commissions. Making your own magic is the magic.
Hi everybody!
Welcome to the nook of all my creative endeavors and dreams.
Thought this might be a good time for showing some pics of the making of my largest wizards hat :)
Oh! Sweet joy of the craft! I’ve spent a lot of the time sketching the last week or two, several hours a day with just pens, pencils and paper. I’m now so finely tuned in hand and mind that sketches seem to flow onto the paper. As usual I have little say in what or who my pens will meet and tell of but it’s an absolute pleasure just to watch what emerges. It’s a fleeting level of skill, for me only appearing when a lot of focus has been poured into sketching during a concentrated time.
Not knowing anything about the book I recently read Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros.
*Spoiler warning*
I was not prepared for either the brutally which contribute to much of the drive in the story or the explicit mention of the main character’s cl*t*r*s at the climax of the ever increasing tension between her and one of the others.
I had some issues with reoccurring words and actions giving it a tinge of a script feel. The number of times someone rise a brow gets more and more annoying. However I really enjoyed the tempo and structure of the story and the dragons and magic, so it’s more than forgiven. And yeah, the sexy bits are hot too.
I’m still trying to wrap my head around how big the dragons are, because they’re huge. Did this sketch of Tairn but I’m pondering if he isn’t even bigger. What du you say?
A Swedish gårdstomte I drew yesterday. Trying to connect to the style of the late 1800 when artists like Jenny Nyström, Carl Larsson and John Bauer shaped the collective image of our fairytales and myths.
I was inspired to do this when I found two 120 year old original pen and ink fairytale illustrations at the secondhand the other day. A real find! And I even managed to find what books they originally were published in. More about that some other day.
Making a Christmas card for my grandma. A rare privilege when you are past 45.
Kajsa is 95, still lives in her house in the countryside, and she will forever be one of the most important persons in my life.
Hand drawn and made from a piece of the back of an old drawingpad - it’s exactly in line with the values she gently instilled in me as a boy. Mind the world around you.
Kalliban the wizard has gotten himself into deeper water than he intended. Through a deal with a dark alley printshop he is now forced to sell their book “Making Friends”, presenting much too powerful magic to young beginners…
What will come of this! Visit the magical winter fair in Malmö to find out I guess.
