23 years ago today, the Game Boy Pocket (1996) was released in the USA. This was 7 years after its predecessor, the all-time classic Game Boy released in 1989. 
The Game BoyPocket was a redesigned version of the original but, unlike the previous model, the Pocket version was lighter and smaller. It also ditched the green tinted screen for a more subtle black-and-white display.

20 years ago today, Bomberman Hero’s 3D platforming adventure began on the Nintendo 64. It was the second 3D Bomberman game released after Bomberman 64 (1997) in the age when adding “64″ to anything meant redesigned gameplay and blocky 3D graphics.
Unlike its predecessor, Bomberman 64, Hero is playable on the Wii Virtual Console. Most recently, a new and updated version of the classic action-maze game, Super Bomberman R (2017). was released on the Nintendo Switch, the first main entry in decades.
