Although this au is dedicated to zombie themes, it's not related to a virus , etc.
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THE IDEA!
the story begins with the fact that I'm this world , every toon that loses its heart also loses it's mind. The toon stops feeling physical pain and loses many emotions including the feeling of joy, they are unhappy and obsessed with the possibility of regainig their heart.
This world is a very cold, as if it's eternal autumn oitside. But it wasn't always like this, Ortensia is the only cartoon , who , without a heart , could give everyone care and return them the joy of life, she was not just a queen , but a savior.
But soon she passed a way (the events of the orig. Game ) and Oswald, going crazy with despair , became even more obsessed with getting a heart , he created a mutant from his 66 children , and ordered this to grab everyone who has a heart (it just want to play and don't listen their father)
Years pass , the Oswald become more and more like a crazy rabbit , he doesn't even sleep anymore. And at this time , Mickey gets into the Wasteland.
Mickey is scared, he has to hide from the inhabitants of the Wasteland, while trying to escape, on his way he meets Gus, who is one of the few who does good to him….. And also Oswald….. at first they don’t get along, and the rabbit, instead of speaking clearly, simply growls at him, but soon, having decided to save this world, Mickey unites with them into one team and hurries to return peace to this small country

I think one thing about Oswald 's story from EM that I wish was fleshed out more was how Ortensia getting killed/the Blot wars affected him mentally. I think it's not too far-fetched to say that he must have had some serious PTSD for a while, and that got me wondering how he would show that/what it's affects would be one the story of the game if it was canon
