Hard disagree.
The reason why people gravitate towards RDJ than they do with Brie is because Iron Man has already been introduced and cemented as this cocky sarcastic guy who’s straight to the point. I should stress that it has absolutely nothing to do with being male or female. Tony starts out as an arrogant and nonchalant philanthropist but becomes more serious as time goes on. The problem with Carol is that she wasn’t established long enough for her arrogance to be taken seriously.
And to say that it’s a double standard for people to act all sexist when women have a cocky personality is bullshit because here’s a list of unlikable characters in media, both male and female, with a classic case of unwarranted self importance:

Gonna be completely honest but its really pissing me off that there are people in the shaladin community making this whole discourse with Josh about sh/eith. I’ve seen quite a lot of people saying that Josh shouldn’t have made that post as it ‘indicates sh/eith wont become canon’ and ‘might have upset sh/eith shippers’ and saying shit like “he didn’t really mean it, he just said what he had to in order to appease antis” like holy fucking shit:
There was literally never any form of guarantee that sh/eith was ever going to become canon anyway. Like most ships it probably wont become canon. You’re starting to sound like kl@ntis with this shit take a step back and look at what youre saying.
He didn’t even say anything remotely about sh/eith? Sh/eith is a ship between two adults. All Josh said as he wasn’t particularly sure about the concept of the other shaladin ships, aka the ones which are minorXadult relationships, quote, at this point in their lives in canon, but actively acknowledged the concept that people are completely within their rights to, quote, use the characters in their own way and re-imagine them, and that ages are something which, quote, could be changed like anyone would do in their own headcanon. Then going on to say hes not the ‘canon king’ aka these are his personal thoughts.
If your thoughts are going automatically to sh/eith you are completely missing the whole point of this and what this is actually all about and need to reassess your mindset.
If your first response to all of this is to run to ‘reassure’ sh/eith shippers and shame Josh and act like he ‘threw us under the bus’ which he did not, and are actively expecting him to throw himself completely into this ridiculous discourse over fictional ships and care more about him appearing to support your fictional ship rather than protecting the well-being of his own family, please just unfollow me now.
Anyone genuinely in that mindset after all this; you really need to take a long, hard look at yourself and reassess your priorities in life and rethink how invested you seem to assume the VA’s/ show runners/ etc are in this discourse. It isn’t the showrunners and VA’s jobs to get involved in or acknowledge this discourse. It isn’t their job to reassure you about your ships. Its not their job to dive feet first into fandom discourse which could affect their job and cause their family problems and cause them to constantly receive abuse. A VA seeming to support your ship to give you hope it might be canon isn’t more important then their own well-being. Please get over yourself. Your fictional ship is really not that important.

12. My folks were pretty adamant on wanting me to eat my greens and I generally like most veggies, but I don’t genuinely find zucchini’s and cucumbers to be appetizing. Peppers are my one true enemy, I like spicy food but peppers I cannot stand for the life of me. Mayonnaise makes me want to vomit. Bacon and ham aside, I don’t like most pork based foods like ribs and sausages. I hate coconut shavings.

Dude I once saw this post on tumblr using the term ‘gringo/gringa,’ directed at white people, but it was typed as ‘gringx.’ Yeah they’re going there, they’re using a derogatory term targeted at Americans and making it gender neutral!
Honestly the worst part is that people who identify as “Latinx” hardly ever mention their culture, mainly the aesthetics. I can see through your basic bitch posts about the flag, the food and the beaches but ignore the music, the beautiful clothing and the traditions, do ya?

Even Spanish speakers can’t pronounce it.
Spanish is a gendered language, you literally cannot “gender neutralize” Espanol. The masculine ending IS the gender neutral form of any word.
It’s extremely self entitled to believe you can suddenly start changing gendered languages, when there is ALREADY gender neutral endings in said languages.
It’s disrespect, because you must not understand these languages if you think it’s such a great idea. IT’S NOT.
Latinx is not the gender neutral ending. Latino is. Mexicano is.
Would you seriously walk up to a Spanish speaker and say “Ellxs son divertidxs, ¿verdad?” When talking about a mixed group of boys and girls.
No, because you’d look so, so stupid, if not confuse the Spanish speaker and also have a VERY hard time pronouncing that.

I’m a lesbian and I’m not sorry to say that I refuse to associate with the LGBTQ+ community. This nihilistic and narcissistic mindset from “morally righteous” snowflakes only rapes the term LGBT because we’re supposed to be tolerant yet we show ignorance and intolerance. For a community that pushes lgbt normalization and tolerance to young people, is this the kind of shit you want to show to kids? To show kids that it’s okay to send death threats to people, telling them to kill themselves? Don’t get me wrong I understand August’s side of things and I get the negative stigma that has plagued gay people back in the day, but sendin death threats to someone is never the issue.
I’m sure many of you guys have heard the sad news already. Adult Film star August Ames (born Mercedes Grabowski) has taken her life after a relentless onslaught of extreme hatred and threats from LGBTQ+ members and supporters. This was all because she refused to do a sex scene with a bisexual man because of health concerns (which is her right entirely).
The hatred from the self-proclaimed “most inclusive community” has come so far that it has taken a life, the life of this sweet girl. She hung herself in her home in Camarillo, California on Tuesday.
Many well known people have made statements against the LGBTQ community in regards to this (including retired star Jenna Jameson, one of the biggest pornstars in history). Many companies have also dropped the male star who August refused to perform with.
I will no longer stand for this. As of now, I HATE every person who identifies with LGBTQ+ (this does not mean I hate gay people or any of these people just because they are gay, I hate them because they choose to identify with this group. If you are gay or whatever and don’t identify with them, I don’t hate you).
