you do realize that not every cast of characters has to have a "designated himbo" that's achieved through process of elimination, correct?
and while maybe not a political MASTERMIND, by the end of season 1 arcane, jayce's naivity is actively destroyed by his experiences and he is successfully applying the political savvy he learns from mel to get the rest of the council to do what he wants. even so far as turning them against/ousting a previously well-respected member of the group (heimderdinger) because heimerdinger was a threat to one of his personal goals.
jayce definitely comes into the show naive/eager-to-please and with a hero complex, and lots of people around him attempt to use him as a tool for their own goals, but i don't think any of that makes him a "himbo".
caitlyn was similarly privileged and naive (and reckless!) and i - rightfully - rarely hear people use similar descriptors for her. i don't understand the insistence on putting a label on him that sort of implies he's just a pretty face blithely fumbling around in his roles as a politician or a scientist when it's clear that's not the case.
it often feels to me like people tend to apply the label to jayce more from tropes surrounding characters LIKE him more than how jayce is actually presented in arcane.
(if you were referring to the game jayce then sorry haha, i'm really not familiar with much of the lore or characterizations, you're probably spot on!)
what part exactly of jayce being a groundbreaking scientist who takes rapidly to the political arena is making him read as a "himbo" to you people...................
