The fact that we spent like fifteen minutes on the pronunciations is hilarious to me
I have to share with the Grishaverse fandom another slavic language based fun fact about names. We all love to shittalk Jan Van Eck, right? In czech we have various nicknames for the name "Jan". Most of them are used for small boys. We've been using them with my friend to talk about Van Eck and it's fun so I thought I'd share them.
First is "Honza" this one also has a variation "Honzík" [h-on-zeek]
Second is "Jenda" [Yen-dah] which also has a variation "Jéňa" [Ye-ny-ah]
Use them to trash on Van Eck so it can sound like you're talking about a kid that broke mom's favourite vase<3

Jak máte v angličtině oslovení 'guys' použitý genderově neutrálně, tak jsem přemýšlela o české variantě. Nejblíž je tomu asi brněnský 'děcka' který nejenže je genderově neutrální, ale i věkově neutrální. Děcka můžeš říct školkáčkům, dospělým i smíšenému kolektivu. Kdyžtak přidávejte svoje další nápady.

I personally love that one theory that Kaz's full name is Kazimir because in my language (and I'm sure in other slavic languages too) it means 'disturber of peace' and I just think that's very fitting description of Kaz.
