in 2021 sugishita collaborated w/ sea paradise japan to hold an exhibition promoting dsam and created some merchandise for it as well, including mockup business cards for the main cast. here's a rough translation of the information on those cards, which includes for each character:

spoilers for the new extra edition that was just released on kurage bunch (image unrelated)
new osezaki family lore dropped! minato’s a rich kid, which i guess explains how he has the funds for an aquarium (though the prologue implies there were some issues that almost prevented them from opening? not entirely sure)
hi kouyou. gtranslate for this sentence switches between “you’re from my university, aren’t you?” and “you’re not from my university, are you?” depending on the single addition of a “…” at the end, which. i honestly have no clue how much that impacts the delivery of the line and there’s not enough context otherwise for me to decide which is the correct interpretation o(-(
either way it’s confirmed they met while they were in college, which retcons that one panel in ch 14 (and my header) that implies minato, kouyou, and nagiko have all known each other since middle/high school 🥲 you will be dearly missed…
(on that note i would love to learn more about nagiko soon. i know she’s dead but she was important to kouyou and minato too and we haven’t seen very much of her yet…)
(transcription/rough translation in the alt text) yeah i don’t have anything to say here. or actually i do i think it’s a little funny that this kouyou is probably around the same age as koutarou when he first started working at magmell (~ 20 years old?) but they don’t look that similar. sorry about the babyface koutarou
on a final note i just realized this is the first extra edition to not feature any sea creatures, which is interesting! (the title is just “onboard, 10 PM”)
