By the time they hit seawater, Theon wanted to shake him a little, to say, "But you remember what I was like before. Don't give me those eyes, Botley, I know you remember, and I'm not really that different now." It's foolish - because of course he is different, probably they both are, but it doesn't really feel like it when Tris smiles at him, too warm for the start of winter. Improbably, infuriatingly, with Tris beside him, he feels almost like he did before, before any of it. It's a feeling he likes.

Aerial footage of orphaned Bigg's orca Kwiisahi?is taken by the Canada Department of Fisheries and Oceans. Believe it or not, she's not leucistic... her skin discoloration is the result of spending the past month trapped in freshwater, but should hopefully clear up now that she's back in the open ocean. While she's underweight, she has been observed hunting fish, despite being of a mammal-eating ecotype. Officials will continue to monitor her movements, but are optimistic that she'll find her extended family!

Another amazing piece I won in the 2023 round of @fandomtrumpshate. This one is by the incredible arts_and_seabass (IG).

This one has a bit of a context! It's an illustration of two scenes, one from my fic, Carry Me Home, and the other from i know my kingdom awaits by @hell-heron (go, go read it, it's amazing!). The scenes parallel each other somewhat intentionally, as IKMKA is an AU of CMH. Back-to-back shots of two different instances of Theon saving his younger, redhead "foster brother" who looks up to him, Robb Stark in the first and Greydon Goodbrother in the second.

I don't often make recs but I truly call everyone who loves Shakespeare to come read this beautiful, haunting and uplifting collection of sweeter endings. Some of these really reinforce the Theon connection for me too.
