Hunger Cues
My hunger cues are so messed up like wtf. For a long time I ignored my hunger and did not eat while I was hungry. Then I was force-fed to eat even tho I wasn’t hungry. It left my body heckin confused.
And I never really feel it either, not until I’m eating. Like
me: are you hungry?
body: donknow. donthinkso
me: *doesn’t eat for another 4 hours*
me *forces myself to eat something*
body: SIKE TURNS OUT I WAS RAVENOUS HAHA NOW EAT TIL YOUR STOMACH HURTS

Someone: oh there’s this show I’m watching... oh, nevermind, it’s silly you probably don’t wanna hear about it
Me, knowing fully well how much it sucks to have your passions invalidated and how cool it is to rant about something you love:

I finished The Burning Maze yesterday (spoilers ahead)
And some of y'all need to like…. stop.
I understand being upset when a character dies. Jason is a character I’ve known and adores since I was fifteen. I’m almost 23 now. That’s eight years. His death hit me hard. I keep having these moments where I’m doing something normal and just feel this… pang in my chest and remember he’s gone.
But I’m scrolling through the tags now (I don’t know why I bother at this point), and I see people getting angry about it. Saying Jason’s death was pointless. Unnecessary. Only for shock value. He didn’t have to die.
Devastating as it is… None of that is true.
I’m a comic book fan. My favorite characters die all the time. Always for shock value, making no true impact on the story only to be brought back a year or two later. Death has no meaning in comic books anymore. If there is anyone who can recognize the hallmarks of a pointless death for shock value, it’s me.
With shock value deaths, it comes out of nowhere. It just… happens and you’re like “wait, what?” And sometimes that’s done very well (Cedric Diggory in The Goblet of Fire). But the kind of death we’re talking about just has that death happen, and then… almost nothing. Not only was Jason’s death foreshadowed the entire book, but it was foreshadowed in a way that directly contrasts the way it was with Leo. Resourceful Leo, who knew what would happen and went out of his way to make sure he had another chance. Jason’s choice was clear. If has to die for Piper to live, he won’t hesitate. And he didn’t.
Another element of bad shock value deaths is that they have no further impact on the story.
Jason’s death was a defining moment for every character involved and the series as a whole.
Apollo, who only a few chapters before had been hit in the fact with how young Jason was, sees this heroic, sweet, brave, teenager… a child… die. Die on his quest. Brutally, at the hands of one of history’s greatest monsters.
He can’t stop thinking about how Jason had already survived so much… had so much left to do… he didn’t deserve to die! But that’s the point! Death doesn’t care what plans you have! If it wants you, it takes you!
Jason Grace is the traditional hero archetype. While Percy refuses to play by the rules, Jason uses the rules he thinks are just and uses them, while breaking the rules he finds unjust. He is the kind of hero celebrated and romanticized by the Greek Deities, and yes, us as well.
Apollo needed to witness the death of not just a hero, but this hero. This young hero. This young hero who is only one of thousands to die on the errands of the gods. I’m sorry y'all, but it had to be Jason. It sucks, but death sucks.
And yet another hill I will die on… Jason Grace’s death is the best death Rick Riordan has ever written. And he’s written a fair few, all of them their own brand of devastating. From Michael Yew, buried under rubble without even a body to find, to Zoe Nightshade and her stars, to Luke Castellan’s desperate final words to Percy to remember the unclaimed.
Jason’s death has elements of all of these. The unabashed unfairness of Michael, the gutwrenching foreshadowing and acceptance of fate of Zoe, and the final plea to remember of Luke.
And like all those deaths, Jason’s will be remembered. When Apollo goes back up to Olympus, Jason’s words will echo in his mind.
The final lines of the book are a testament to the impact of Jason’s sacrifice.
“He would be Apollo.
He would remember.”

Common misconceptions about Introverts:
If you’re close to us, it’s not that we don’t like hanging out with you or dislike you in any way. It’s just, sometimes we just can’t. Even if you tried to have a conversation or something you wouldn’t get anything good from our part of it, because our brain is just tired. Exhausted.
It’s not personal. Sure, some people are more energy draining than others. And some people are asshats, then it’s personal.
This does not have to mean that we did not enjoy social interaction with you, but our brains are simply really...drained. Shut down, close for business, unable- or very slow to process social interaction. When that happens, give us som time to recharge to ourselves, how long depends on the individual. After a break, we’re ready to go again, but we still really need those breaks.
Lastly, not all of us are quiet and shy. Some of us can’t be bothered. Some of love be with friends and family and talk when we’re in the mood.
It’s just that we happen to have a brain that finds social interaction draining, rather than energising like extroverts have. Simple as that. We’re not all rude.

introverts of tumblr:
You know when you’re being social with close friends or whatever and having an overall pleasent time, and that makes you think ”oh this is actually going pretty well”. So you keep being social and happy for maybe even a few hours, without it having a really noticeable effect. And then as soon as you go sit by yourself for a just a little while, it just...hits you all at once. Like a wave of that particular social exhaustion just washes over you like a damm that broke from all the interaction and you’re like “woooooah sh*t”
or is that just me
