Ok so like I get it, I understand the abstracted symbolism referencing an arc we'll probably have a different op for by the time we reach it, but I really think a lot of y'all are way overestimating what an anime-only viewer could gather from that animation.
Like with zero manga information there's what. A very clearly figurative sequence of dancing floating and getting tossed around in giant foods? And in the end illustrations too. Parties we haven't seen yet? Those were there in the first op. Thistle and the legs of Big Chicken? Lots of monsters are chicken. Relax.

April 9, 2024: The Arizona Supreme Court just voted a pre-statehood law from 1864 that will effectively ban all abortion care in the state.
If you need abortion care there is still 45 days to seek abortion care within the state.

My only child was born in Arizona via a late term abortion in 2020 due to Triploidy, a condition that is completely incompatible with life. Having an abortion (vaginal birth with induction) saved my life and my future fertility.

For as much as I love Paris Is Burning (1990) (It was foundational in my getting into ballroom history and learning more about the ballroom scene in my area when I was in my early 20s), I feel like we barely mention its spiritual sequel How Do I Look (2006) even though it gives a much better look into ballroom and how the popularity of Paris Is Burning affected the scene. It also touches on the issues participants of the og Paris Is Burning doc had with the handling of the og doc and the way the mainstream has been trying to exploit the ballroom scene since the second they found out about what it is. While Paris Is Buring is a deeply important part of our history, it should NOT be your first and last stop when learning about ballroom culture.

hellooo making a new post for April, lots of stuff to cover and start saving up for aside from the usual rent expenses and trying to pay off credit card balance (i have not made a dent in it since the last couple of posts / months so it's still roughly $655)

air mattress irreparable, been sleeping on the couch which she shouldn't have to as she pays rent for a bedroom at her apartment; i also can't visit her while she's unable to host me and that makes us both very lonely as a disabled woc and a trans woman lacking irl social connections and other kinds of support
medical evaluations (including tilt table test) - $800
i am trying to get on cash assistance for disability but since i have been overseas up until last year, i have no relevant medical records here. and due to my family's abuse and neglect and general medical gaslighting, i don't have anything from other places ive lived either. i am starting from scratch and pursuing medical testing and treatment as a poor disabled woc with past trauma is incredibly daunting, to say the least
anything extra will go towards building an emergency fund and a relocation fund so i can start planning to move somewhere more wheelchair accessible as my disabilities continue to progress and make the need for one more and more difficult and dangerous to continue putting off. i don't see this happening til the next 2-3 years but i NEED to be able to start saving now, as my health can be very unpredictable. it hasn't landed me in urgent care yet but i will be woefully unprepared for that if it happens anytime soon and that's a big stressor on my shoulders
i have talked before about stress of any kind being a trigger for my chronic pain and fatigue, which makes the community support all the more vital to my survival and safety. it also helps me stay in a decent condition to be an emotional and social support to my girlfriend, and gives me more brain space to map out a more sustainable future for myself.

Israel’s genocidal assault has killed or injured over 2 percent of Palestinian children in Gaza over the course of just six months, Save the Children has reported.
In the months since October 7, Israel’s assault has killed over 13,800 children in Gaza and injured over 12,000 children, according to counts by UN officials and the Gaza Ministry of Health cited by Save the Children. This means that Israel has killed or injured at least 25,800 children in Gaza, or over 1 in every 50 children living in the region before the assault.
Previous reports have found that Israel is killing and injuring children at a rate that is unprecedented compared to any modern conflict. On average, Israel has killed about 75 children in Gaza each day over the course of the last six months, while many of the children who have survived have sustained lifelong injuries; an average of over 10 children are having one or both legs amputated every day in Gaza. Doctors in the region say that Israeli snipers have also been targeting children.
